Jquery :: PrettySociable - Change The Tooltip (that Shows Up When You Drag An Image) To Default To An Image On Server

I've been using prettySociable on my site (can be downloaded here. I use the uncompressed version). I want to be able to change the tooltip (that shows up when you drag an image) to default to an image on my server, rather than to the page title. I think I've tracked down the code on line 265 of the jquery.prettySociable.js file, but I'm unsure how to change it:

Resize And Drag Image With Script?

I am trying to make a javascript utility where the user can resize and drag an image. A slider contols the size of image from 0% to 200%. And also the image is draggable and the x and y coordinates of the image are immediately reflected on a text box in the page.

I think that this is possible with jquery or other javascript libraries. But was looking for some direction where I can find the best tutorial or examples.

Removes Default Drag Behaviour On Image In Netscape

I am trying to implement a rubber band/image selection script. For
that I need to remove the default drag behaviour on an image. I am
able to do this in IE but not Netscape. Does any one have a solution?

Pls look below for IE code:

var moz = ((document.all)? false : true);
var ie = ((document.all)? true : false);
var ElementUtil = new Object();
ElementUtil.addEventListener = function(o, type, handler) {
if(ie) {
o.attachEvent("on" + type, handler);
}
else if(moz) {
o.addEventListener(type, handler, false);
}
}

// Removes default drag behaviour on image in ie
ElementUtil.addEventListener(img, "drag", function() {return false;});

Active Drag / Resize Image (within Bounds) And Save Output?

Nov 24, 2011

Bit of a lengthy topic name, I know - I'm trying to make a sort of really lightweight online t-shirt designer - basically, it'll show a picture of a t-shirt in the background (you'll be able to change the color via selector), and then be able to upload an image, drag it around the t-shirt and resize it. I've found this: [URL]. But I have no clue (after looking at the JS, I'm still pretty new) how to set bounds to keep it in, or how to save/output the image it creates - that is, the uploaded image on top of the t-shirt needs to be saved as a single image and then output, probably via email. I am fairly fluent in PHP, but still pretty new to javascript. What is A, the best way to upload the user image (and give a max file-size) and B, the best way to drag/resize it around the t-shirt, but without moving it off the t-shirt image, and C, save that image then output it?

Click And Drag

Feb 28, 2006

I had an interesting idea recently to implement on my dynamic site.

I would like to have the users be able to click on object 1 and drag it
overtop of object 2. Object 1 and object 2 should be div tags so that
they could go around anything. When the user starts to drag object 1,
a parcially transparent object 1 appears wherever the mouse goes (we
will call this object 3) and the original object 1 disappears. After
the user lets go of object 1 ontop of object 2, object 3 disappears and
a javascript occurs (i will add this to the script later). If object 1
is let go not ontop of object 2 then the original object 1 reappears
where it used to be and object 3 disappears.

Also, while all this clicking and draging is going on the user should
be able to click and drag to scroll the page.

Unfortunately i have no idea how to do any of this. If anyone could
help me with this it would be appreciated. This is kind of what you
can do to files and folders in Windows XP.

Drag-event In IE

Oct 19, 2005

I have a div that I can drag on mousedown. In Firefox the code works as expected. In IE, however, it does not work anymore.

I noticed that if you put the mousemove event listener on the div that I'm dragging that it will get lost if you move the mouse wildly across the screen. So I decided to put the even on the window.

Now you can move the mouse as fast as you want in FireFox. In IE, however, it moves a little then stops - not reacting at all.

Drag And Drop Library

Jan 11, 2006

After a good deal of internal development, I've decided this library will do more good in the wild. It works in IE6, Safari 2, Opera 9, Firefox 1.5, and IE5.5/Mac (sort of buggy behavior with text selection in IE5.5/Mac though). It should also work in virtually any version of Gecko, Opera 6+, Safari 1, and IE5+ (anybody who wants to test those, feel free). The scripting is highly efficient, and only exposes two functions globally, Draggable and Droppable. The below code is licensed under the LGPL, though it is available under other licenses per request.

Let me know if you have any issues with it - this is something I'm interested in maintaining. Also, compared to other scripts, such as script.tac.ulo.us, this is much less code (lots of whitespace/comments could be taken out), and more widely supported across browsers.

Other than below, it can be found here: http://www.jasonkarldavis.com/scripts/dragdropable/dragdropable.html

// dragdropable.js (1.0.1)
//Copyright (C) 2006 Jason Davis, www.jasonkarldavis.com
//This code is licensed under the LGPL:
//http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.html
//
// Documentation:
//This script exposes two global variables, Draggable and Droppable. To make an
//element draggable, simply call `Draggable(element)`. This sets the necessary
//CSS properties and event handlers. It also overrides the addEventListener and
//and attachEvent methods (if present) to include the following events:
//onstart(When the element begins dragging)
//ondrag(When the element is being dragged)
//onstop(When the element has stopped dragging)
//You may also assign element.onstart, element.ondrag, and element.onstart to
//add event listeners.
//Lastly, if you need to physically prevent an element from dragging, you may
//call event.preventDefault() from within the onstart handler.
//
//To make an element droppable (have things dragged onto it), call
//`Droppable(element)`. This sets the necessary event handlers and coordinate
//searches. Once again, it overrides addEventListener and attachEvent to
//include the following events:
//onhover(When another element has been dragged over the element)
//ondrop(When another element has been dropped onto the element)
//onunhover(When another element has been dragged off the element)
//As before, you may also set element.onhover, element.ondrop, and
//element.onunhover directly.
//To remove all drop points from the current session, call `Droppable.reset()`.
//
//The event object is also extended with the following properties:
//dragTarget(The element being dragged)
//dropTarget(The element being dropped onto)
//
// Known bugs:
//* removeEventListener and detachEvent do not work with the custom events.
//Workaround: Use direct assignment (element.onevent) instead.
//* There is no way to remove a single drop point.
//Workaround: Call Droppable.reset(), then reinitialize the other drop points.
//* There is no way to remove dragging from an element.
//Workaround: element.onstart = function(event) { event.preventDefault() }
//* Changing position of droppable elements after initialization breaks drop
//Workaround: Static droppables are much faster than moving ones. Either call
//Droppable.reset() and reinitialize often, or ask the author to modify the
//script to account for this (and accept the resulting slowdown)
