I have a floating div which I drag all over the page. If the page has
scrollbars and users drag the floating div to the very top, page
scrolls up too. The problem occurs at this moment. As page scrolls up,
the div gets detached from the mouse while dragging.
How can I keep the floating div to always stay attached to the mouse

What im looking for is to have a database hold a list of images ( or numbers that corrospond to images)... that should be easy enough. The part im having trouble with is having these images aligned in a grid which is inside a window /frame/ box on the web page. The user can click and drag and it will move around this collection of images.....

so if the user clicked and dragged to the right the images would then look like:
4 3 12
1 2 11
8 9 10
the new images are taken from the database and the user can drag in any direction.

how to make an image/text to scroll as the user scroll the page also? for example if the user scrolls down image/text also scrolls down and when the user scrolls up image/text also scrolls up..

The navigation is in a floating box that can be dragged as well as collapsed. And when you go from page to page the box will remain in the same location and in the same state (open or collapsed) ultimately creating the illusion that the nav box doesn't reload. Can this be done with JS? If so is the way to maintain the location with cookies or is there another way?
I'm using a JQuery function to slide a div into and out of visibility, but every time I toggle, the browser resets my view to the top of the web page..What I want to happen is when you click to reveal the div, the page scrolls down and the div content is in full view. I have with the regions on the page. I would like to know how could I resize them... I know there is no HTML or CSS modality, therefore the only solution has to come from Javascript. Image I have four flags on a page and each of those are links to other pages. However, when I resize the page, drag its border lines and so on, everything gets messed up.how to solve this? Or at least other options, like Tables, Divs, anything that can resize and accept links?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using Walter Zorn's Drag & Drop script on my page: [URL]. The script works just fine. But there is a problem when the visitors are trying to print out their design. All "draggble" elements are getting shifted in relation to the rest of the page (try to move "draggble" elements, and then go to Print Preview to see what happens). The page layout is centered on the screen:

Drag & Drop script recalculates positions of elements from the Top Left corner. If I change margin to left, than everything prints out just fine, without shifting. I'd like to keep my page layout centered on the screen and I know nothing about Java programming. How to make necessary changes to the Drag & Drop script to achieve proper page printing?

I have tried setting it to "fixed" through CSS but then it just disappears -- I'm guessing the reason it does this is BECAUSE it's a child of another div.If there's a CSS solution to this, great, but right now I'm thinking I'll have to rely on JavaScript.Anybody have an idea of how I'd get this div to scroll with the page, like a fixed div?

Now on some coputers the box stops so far off the bottom of the page, and on others it just keeps going off of the bottom of the page untill it is just the background and no website. I have a page where certain actions cause the page to reload and then jumps to an anchor (e.g. #title gets appended to the url) which is disorientating, I think it will soften the blow if the page scrolls to the anchor.

i somehow figured out how to have multiple instances of the jquery scrollbar on the same page - however, i would like to use those scrollable divs in a auto-centered fixed width layout. i cannot seem to be able to modify the code in a way so the scrollbars move with the centered layout.i could imagine this could be of interest for others too since this technique finally gives cross platform identitical scrollbars and would help unifying designs.
