Display Property Error Only In IE7?

I have a page: [URL] that works perfectly fine in every browser I try, except for actual IE7 (it even works fine in IE8 emulating IE7). When you search for something on that page and have a display of results, each result has a link that changes a table row's display to visible, and hides the row when clicked again. It doesn't do that in IE7. here are no errors or warning in Firefox's Error Console. But IE7 has an "Error on Page" notice (which does NOT appear in IE8 emulating IE7), that says:

[Code]I really don't know what to do, or where to begin. Everything in my limited knowledge seems to be working just fine. Most of my site's visitors use IE8, but enough use actual IE7 that I really need to fix this.

How would I get an element's display property? For example, I can get the width by using the_element.offsetWidth, but what do I use for display?
I tried the_element.style.display, but it doesn't seem to work.

I have a jq function that uses the $.post and have never really had an issue until a couple of days ago. I have looked over the code many times and can't figure or the issue. I think that it may be something right in front of me but for some reason or another I can't figure it out.The error "Missing } after property list" is given in FF and IE also gives an error, both on page load. I am using a script called ajax_load.js that defines a function, ajaxpage(), that allows a person to load the contents of an external page into a div item. I have it setup so I may use ajaxpage() to load pages with other div items in it. The problem is that I cannot reference the div items loaded by ajaxpage(). I have provided an example below to illustrate this. It was working fine in the prior version of Google Chrome and is still working fine in IE 8, IE 7, and Firefox. The version of Chrome I am currently using is 4.0.249.78

This code was working just fine in the prior stable version of chrome, and still works properly in IE 8, IE 7, and Firefox without any errors (The version of chrome giving me problems is 4.0.249.78). Does anyone know how to go about fixing this? Is this something wrong with the latest version of chrome, or is this on my end? The site I am currently working on relies heavily on this working, and having to change things means altering several thousand lines of code.

This error ONLY occurs in IE. "Unexpected call to method or property access."
I pinpointed it to this line:

I have no clue what is throwing this error. What am I missing?
I have jQuery auto tabs for the 'billboard' area. On active tab, I absolute position & z-index links over top the 'tabs' to link to the other pages in the site. The links work on all except IE6/7. IE6/7 link to the anchor fragments.

currently I have a page with six links. Now since I want to display the imformation on those six links (when each is clicked) in a #mainDiv (below all the links). if figured the most efficient way of doing so was to have all six "links" in six different div's -- all with display: none... and when a user clicks a link I just have the appropriate div set to display: block. I tried to display all html control types in the form. But it has run time error
"object doesn't support this property or method" on document.write(obj.type);
Even I do document.write('hello world'); it still has the same error.

My script is throwing an error only in IE8. I'm using Mootools 1.3.The error thrown is: Object doesn't support this property/method.The IE8 debugger is telling me that the error is this (line in bold):

The above code is around line 380 in the uncompressed version. It's part of Object.extend.Now I am suspecting this is happening when I do a each on an array like object. This is the code I'm suspecting is triggering this:

The first array (c) is populated with numbers only. The second one (e) is populated with objects that have a store/retrieve going on. Basicly what I am doing at this point in the script is submitting a form thru ajax. I'm transforming the objects into arrays and then encoding them with JSON.

I am currently encountering a problem with setting "display" property from "none" to "block":
Browsers will refresh itself when the display property is changed; this causes the element to display then suddenly disappear after the page reload. Do you guys have an idea what I can do to avoid it?
I tried using jquery's show command, css command with setting display to block, and pure javascript method like document.getElementById("theId").style.display="block".

For a application I am writting I need to make some table columns apear and disapear by clicking on a link. I do this by changing the "style" property in the <td> tag.
The HTML is generated by ASP.NET, which automaticly sets the style property of the <td> tag to the right value. and makes links to the right Javascript function call to change a specific property.

I'm attempting to change the display property of certain divs depending on the criteria of multiple select boxes.
I got it to work by GetElementsByTagName('div') but it then selects all divs rather then the select few i actually want it to work on. I tried changing the selection to GetElementsByName but this doesn't work, why i don't really know.
