Display A Preview Picture When The Cursor Hovers Over A Link - SetTimeOut Object

i am trying to make a script that will display a preview picture when the cursor hovers over a link. i have the basic functionality down but noticed that I should probably have some kind of delay so the user is not ambushed when they move their cursor over the links. i figured i could just implement a setTimeOut() function but i can't seem to get to work. i am including the source of what i have so far.
Is it possible to play a small sound clip when the user hovers over a link? Usually the company I work for would use flash to do this but we have been asked to create it in HTML/JavaScript.
I have a bunch of links which display a given record based on the id in the URL. I would like to be able to hover over the link, and preview the record. The code below kind of works, and a live example is located at [URL]
If the user, however, moves the cursor quickly from link to link, the code seems to get confused over which one it is hovering over. Also, sometimes the hover preview doesn't go away after the cursor is moved from the link.
I've spent quit a bit of time, and haven't figured it out. I think it might have something to do with namespace which is a definite weakness of mine.

There are various widgets and plugins that show link preview via tooltip or iframe,So as I am trying to continuously improve web sites experience with new trends and web functionalities - thus it come the task for uniform link preview via div and iframe.
I have a form that is used to generate and Email (this is done with PHP), in this form i have two buttons one is to send the email and one is to preview the email. Currently I have my script set up so when the send button is pressed the form action will be set to go to the send_email.php page, and when the preview button is clicked it will go to the preview.php page. When a user clicks on either button it opens in the same window, What i want is when the preview button is clicked a popup will come up with a a preview of the email.

So basically I just need the preview to open in a popup window when the form is submitted using the preview button. I don't have any code for this because I don't really know where to start, A
UPDATE: I got the preview to come up in a popup but I can not get the data from the form submission into that popup window.
I'm working on an application that is supposed to allow a user to upload a picture, which would be immediately displayed... how do I go about doing this?
I am working on a web page where a random picture is displayed at each visit to the site. One requirement of the page is that it also works for users who have javascripts disabled.
I put a default picture in the page that get's swapped using an onLoad function. That works great for the javascript disabled browser because it just shows that default picture. However, when the page loads for users who do have javascripts enabled, they will see the default picture quickly change into the new random picture. It looks glitchy.
I've been trying to think of another approach where it will be seemless for either kind of viewer. Any ideas? Code:

I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
I have a script that has several links and when you rollover the link it changes a main picture to be view as an image. But, when you no longer mouse over the link, it switches back to the default image.
I'd like for the last link that was rolled over to stay enlarged as the main pic until you roll over a different link.

I have a image gallery that gives very nice popup windows when you click the thumbnail for the larger picture. The problem is that when you hover over the thumbnail(link) it doesn't change the cursor type to a hand which makes it hard to know that it's a link....
I used CSS to change the cursor on my website, as well as the cursor for link hovers. Is there anyway to override this and use a different cursor for just one link on my website?
The code is working 100%, but the only problem is with the function calling statement. It is working on the first img (picture) i want it to be called on the second picture.

I've been working on photo gallery that can be seen here: [URL] I would like the title to change according to the picture selected. This works when you click on the thumbnail images. However, it current does not work with the drop-down menu, "back" and "next" buttons, or the automatic slide-show.
i looking for a way to stretch picture in background and put some divs over that picture with links and text. what i find so far don't work in all browsers any one know something like this?
If you mouseOver a thumbnail of a product, a larger picture appears fading in and doing a quick slide at the same time. On mouseLeave, it does the reverse.
I have created a servlet that does nothing more than create a XML file.i have got some JQuery code that reloads the servlet to get the XML data.This works fine and i am able to load the data i want, the problem i have is that when the data is loaded to the jsp page it displays [object Document] in front of my output.
