im1music.net has a download page which is a javascript. Basically when you click on the song title it redirects you to a page which gives you a preview player and a download link. I was just wondering what Javascript this is, as I wish to have it on my site.

I've been the last few days around a script that I can't make it work. This script is a search engine, when you look for something say the word "titanic", it shows you a list of results with numbers, being the first link with the higher number (kinda like a score), and then after u click the link you want he goes to the respective page. Now I want him to skip the results page, and directly open the first link that he founds on the page.

i have a free js script for a search engine, pretty simple, i define the key words and the .html associated to them. But when i enter a word he starts listing the matches he found and rate them by number, being the highest number the most probable match!
Now what i want to is to SKIP the listing, and redirect automatically for the .html of the first match he finds .

I am using XSPF Web Music Player slim, and whenever I put it into a web page and play it using Google Chrome or Safari the song starts playing twice. When i press the pause button one instance of the song keeps playing while the other keep going without any control over it. This only happen on Google Chrome and Safari on both Windows and Macs so I think it is a problem with the player and WebKit.
I am not using play-list file because the player is only playing one song so I used some parameters somewhere for the player making it so I did not need a play-list file. I also wanted it to play automatically so included a parameter for that. This is my code:

I have the autoplay=1 so it will play automatically. When I take this away it only play one instance of the song but requires manual play. So you have to push the "play" button. How do I fix it so it does not play the song twice on Chrome and Safari?

I think an event listener might be a solution, but I'm not sure.

The 'title' and 'link' tags from the XML file appear on my page without any problem. However, unlike the 'title' and 'link' tags, some of the 'description' tags contain HTML.[URl].. Since I do not directly have access to this RSS file (other than asking my friend if I can edit it), is there a way for me to display the HTML content within the 'description' tags strictly via JavaScript?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch of links which display a given record based on the id in the URL. I would like to be able to hover over the link, and preview the record. The code below kind of works, and a live example is located at [URL]
If the user, however, moves the cursor quickly from link to link, the code seems to get confused over which one it is hovering over. Also, sometimes the hover preview doesn't go away after the cursor is moved from the link.
I've spent quit a bit of time, and haven't figured it out. I think it might have something to do with namespace which is a definite weakness of mine.

I'm trying to append the title attribute to the text of my link. I've got it working, except for the fact that all three links are showing the first link's attribute. I am trying to get started using JQuery, but I find I can't even get to lesson #1. When I go to jquery.com and click to download the latest version (or any version) it doesn't "download" anything. It opens the file as a webpage in my browser and I see all the JQuery in one big string. Why won't the file just download? Is it the browser I am using? Is it my Mac?

What I am doing: I am creating a tutorial for a friend who cannot figure out how to use her new rental management program. I could use a manual slide show to have her click for the next image however, there are a LOT of tutorial images which show her what to do at that point. Her program contains a great number of setup screens, report screens etc. This means the slide show would be sitting there loading all these images before it will work. So, I figured, OK make a page with an iframe, and then I could put each image on it's own little page i.e. page1, page2 etc. Place a little button, or a next link, then have the link load the pages into the iframe in order.

I am using jQuery BlockUI Plugin (v2). It works success but I have a small problem, when I click the link, it is bloclking the page but the main page goes up. Also same problem for link which is oppening new tab or new windows. main pages goes up when I click the link.

Here is the thing. In this game, there are players and tribes (groups of players). I am unable to link to the player/tribe pages directly with a url using the names because the database and pages for them are linked by numbers. ie: each player/tribe name corresponds to a database entry number and you can only use numbers in the URL.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm setting up a video gallery on a site. What I want to happen is that when the user clicks on a thumbnail it then opens and plays the corresponding video clip in shadowbox.
What shadowbox opens is a page which holds the video player object. What I need to happen is for the video reference to be passed to the page that shadowbox opens.
I don't know how to do this. I can get this working where the thumbnails are all on the same page as the video player object. The link on the thumbnail images is as follows:
