Code That Automatically Redirects A Visitor After They Click Anywhere On Page?
Sep 5, 2011
I'm looking for code which does the following:
When a visitor visits my website and clicks anywhere on the page, (regardless of where the mouse clicks) it will automatically redirect him to another site.
I think an event listener might be a solution, but I'm not sure.
im1music.net has a download page which is a javascript. Basically when you click on the song title it redirects you to a page which gives you a preview player and a download link. I was just wondering what Javascript this is, as I wish to have it on my site.
I want a script that would automatically load the content of my web page for preview when the user hovers on the link; and hence load and display it fully when he/she clicks it. I need something similar to the news component of www.yahoo.com home page.
I have just added a jQuery fade plugin onto a page to automatically cycle through images in an unordered list without a click event. It works well but when I preview the page with JS disabled all images become visible and it messes up the layout. What I need is a method that works when JS is disabled. I have seen methods where the {display:none} CSS styles are applied then changed via JS but can't figure this out. If anyone can either recommend a decent plugin with provisions for JS disabled browsers
I've been the last few days around a script that I can't make it work. This script is a search engine, when you look for something say the word "titanic", it shows you a list of results with numbers, being the first link with the higher number (kinda like a score), and then after u click the link you want he goes to the respective page. Now I want him to skip the results page, and directly open the first link that he founds on the page.
The Script <!-- Begin var item = new Array(); // Just enter as many additional pages that you want to search, then fill in he additional listings for each page. // "Page Name","path","Page Title","Many,Key,Words","Descriptive Comments" c=0; item[c]=new Array("centerif.htm","","titanic","index, main, start, home, front","Demonstration search engine data about an imagined but probable internet site."); .....
i have a free js script for a search engine, pretty simple, i define the key words and the .html associated to them. But when i enter a word he starts listing the matches he found and rate them by number, being the highest number the most probable match!
Now what i want to is to SKIP the listing, and redirect automatically for the .html of the first match he finds .
The script:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- Original: Dion (biab@iinet.net.au) --> <!-- Web Site: http://www.iinet.net.au/~biab -->
How to Make a Html Form Shows Up when Visitor Click a Link.. I have seen Site where you want to add Message u click Link then the Form under the Link Shows Up .. it stays Hidden unless Visitor Click Link 'Send Message'. It seems done by Java but How ..
I have a page with a form, that represent questions and the corresponding answers.I defined the minimum questions, answers, and their maximum. So I added a link in the form to add question (along with the minimum amount of answers), and a link per question to add an answer in it.the "click" event for my links is like:
the code look more like JS, but basically it.adds the html code in the corresponding divs. The problem is the following: if I add a question, it also add a link to add answers to this question, but this link does not fire the event.Did I miss something to add to make it work?I mean the link in html page is exactly the same, I even tried not changing the part with the int, it still doesn't work.
I have a .Net website that uses a text file to record when visitors arrive on a page.
However, I really want it to also store the date and time that a visitor leaves a page. I can easily calculate the time spent on pages within a session but currently have no way of knowing how long someone spent on the last page they visited during a session.
What I need is a script that runs when a page is unloaded. The script will update a text file (stored in the htdocs folder of the site) with the current time.
So far, I have come to the conclusion that I may need to use JavaScript and the window.onbeforeunload event but I cannot get any further.
We have been trying to set up a procedure on our website so that the following happens:
When someone clicks on an image, the visitor is taken to our Contact Us page, the title tag is inserted into the Subject and they can complete the rest fo the form and submit.
We have about 40 pages of images, all of which have the ALT and TITLE tags completed. Each image has a description paragraph, and all pages are made using HTML and CSS.
We've seen several websites, although of course now we can't find them, that something similar occurs. Seems there was a jquery script that did this type of thing, but it would only work on the same web page and we want it to go froma category page (about 40 different image category pages right now) to the Contact Us page.
It is important that the name related to the image shows in the email form so we know what image they are referring to.
With our limited knowledge of javascript, we've not been able to insert the TITLE or ALT tag info into the form Subject so that it shows on the emailgoing to us. We've attempted onclick which now moves the visitor to our Contact page. We also can use the <a href as well.
can I have a field automatically clicked by calling something like click()? I have a dropdown box, one of whose elements is "Others (Please Specify)". I list the dropdown boxes values alphabetically.
Sometimes, this value happens to be on the top and SELECTED. The problem is that if this item is selected by clicking on it, in response to onChange I open a text field (so user can specify the value). If this field is automatically selected, the text field des not show; I have to select another value then click on the "Other (please Specify)" to have the text field visible.
[code]....We have a set list of shows that air each day, and on the site we have a marquee tag on the homepage that scrolls through showing each show and its broadcast time. Right now we're stuck changing this schedule each day by hand, but it's tough considering we're all college students ourselves and sometimes our own schedules simply don't allow the time.Is there a code that would allow this kind of a daily update to happen automatically?
I need US zip code formatting on my page. As zip code can be 5 digits or 5-4 digits, our requirement is that when user types in 6th digit, hyphen automatically gets added between 5th and 6th digit. Ex: user enters 100161, it should become formatted as 10016-1 and then user can continue to add rest of digits.
My requirement: Each time a visitor arrives at a specific webpage i want the main image on the page to be different, or more specifically, one of 6 images which will be shown in rotation. Solution: Set a cookie. Each time the visitor access the page read the cookie and display the corresponding image. Then increment the value and rewrite the cookie, so that next time they'll see the next image in sequence. NB: if the cookie does not exist (first timer) or is at 6, then the value is set to zero (and then incremented).
Problem: Can't get my coding to work. Specifically it just doesn't do anything - no error message, no cookie written. I'm a very novice scripter, as in I've cobbled the coding together from bits off the net that i think i've managed to grasp some kind of an understanding of. Very suck it and see - so far lots of sucking and no seeing!
I'm not quite sure what this is called (tooltip, dialogue, popup, show/hide) but I've seen it around... I'd like to accomplish the following, as indicated in the attached image.
I want an image to automatically appear upon a user's visit 'pointing' to a specific link on my nav bar.
Ideally, this will load on users visit, then not load if/when they click the [x]...
I have a problem with the trigger event. I'm using a function that opens a curtain by clicking an image. I wish to use the trigger event to automatically register a click on that image so the curtain opens automatically. I've been messing with it and have had it work successfully in Chrome but not FF. Here is the initial code: $(document).ready(function() { $curtainopen = false; $(".rope").click(function(){ $(this).blur(); if ($curtainopen == false){ $(this).stop().animate({top: '0px' }, { queue:false, duration:350, easing:'easeOutBounce'}); $(".leftcurtain").stop().animate({width:'60px'}, 2000 ); $(".rightcurtain").stop().animate({width:'60px'},2000 ); $curtainopen = true; }else{ $(this).stop().animate({top: '-40px' }, { queue:false, duration:350, easing:'easeOutBounce'}); $(".leftcurtain").stop().animate({width:'50%'}, 2000 ); $(".rightcurtain").stop().animate({width:'51%'}, 2000 ); $curtainopen = false; } return false; });});
Recently I had a piece of code injected into my wordpress blog header and the script automatically forwards visitors to other websites. I do not know who did it, as they left this piece of cryptic script on it. Can anybody decode it so I can do some investigative work to see who put it there?
I am new to javascript but I can usually get examples of simple scripts I need to work, but can't figure this one out. I am trying to link to this page (link1.html) from another page and I want to password protect it. If the password is correct, I want to automatically link to another page (link2.html).
The reason I am trying to do it this way is if I don't I get a message saying IE is preventing scripts or ActiveX from running. If I don't click to allow it to run then it will automatically display the content of the page (link1.html) I am trying to protect. I will make link1 blank and put my data in link2.
And I realize this is a very low level of security.
I have a site with PHP code that I need to have a js function to redirect to another page or site. I am just trying to learn JS and need a starting palce. Would this be difficult?
I am trying to get a simple set of Javascript tabs to work properly. I have just two tabs and I want to set up the script to have the second tab automatically hidden prior to reading the javascript code because right now it shows the contents of both tabs when the page is loading and then the second tab disappears after all the script has loaded.
I have the jquery script linked to on the page and here is the way my script looks to run the tabs:
Code:
I want to add something like style="visibility:hidden;" to the DIV that isn't shown on page load and have it added and removed as necessary when users click on the tabs. So basically I would like the generated code to look like this:
i have just downloaded a web template from internet,i was facing some difficulties first, but i have downloaded it completely and then it started working fine, but unfortunately as my html page loads it redirects to [URL]. this template is simple static website with javascript and jquery support can someone give me solution for this awkward situation?
I'm curious to see where the passwords go. I figure it's a scam, yeah =D, but I can't see where the passwords go. I see that you're transported via /pass123.php to /submitted.php, but what happens in between?
