I have this script that is supposed to check if a number the user guesses is the same as the randomly generated number.Problem is that the random number generated at the start of the program keeps on changing everytime I click on the "Check if I'm right" button, the random number gets generated again and I never ever get to reach the correct answer

i have a list of checkboxes, the number of checkboxes is dynamic. All the checkboxes have same name. i am trying to get the length of selected checkboxes.
<input type=checkbox name=name1 value=1>
<input type=checkbox name=name1 value=2>
........ get dynamically.
when i try to get the length in javascript like document.form.name1.length, it works fine if number of checkboxes selected are more than 1, but not for 1.
I am working on a Phone Number Form. The link of script: [url]
Questions:
(1)I wanted to know if code this script so that instead of the phone number appearing as: (123)456-7890
So that it appears as: (123) 456-7890 with a blank space after the ")"
(2)If that's simple, is there a way to error-check it so that only numbers can be entered into the phone number input field?
I have several classes named 'ratings_colored'. They all contain a number from 1 to 10. If the number is below 5.5, the number should become red. If not it should become green.
The code below works, but if the first .ratings_colored is higher than 5.5 it will make ALL the classes green. Even the numbers below 5.5! I tried using the 'this' but it didn't work either.
$(document).ready(function () {
I'd like to make a Degree object that inherits from the Number object and uses the Number constructor but adds a .rad() method that returns the value in radians.
If I do something like:
It generally works but I don't get Number's methods like toString and toPrecision.
I want to check phone-nummers of 10 characters long en only 0-9

function isTel(string) {
if (string.length == 10) {
return true;
}

I have multiple checkboxes. How can I validate the group of check boxes so that a user can only select two. If they try to select more than two, an alert will pop up stating they can only choose two?
Code:
I want to validate phone number in my project. I include some validations. Furthermore i want to check whether it exactly contains ONLY 10 digits.nothing more and nothing less.How should i include that?

I am new to this kind of scripting, so I have not done it before, I have tried to find solutions on the net but none have worked.I have a 'contact us' form, which includes 2 radio buttons to select how they wish to recieve their reply... the first radio is 'email' the second radio is 'phone'When the 'phone' radio is selected, i want the div including a drop downbox to appear to ask what time to recieve a call, but when the 'email' radio is selected, this div does not appear.This is the script for this section.
<span>Best way to reply:</span>
<input type="radio" name="reply" value="Email" id="reply_0" /> E-mail <BR />
<div style="margin-left:270px;"><input type="radio" name="reply" value="Phone" id="reply_1"

Trying to check how many lines a div has and then alter another to match.
Found this code, but I'm not sure what to do [code]...
Look at Navigation and then look at Animated Menus as an example. When the grey animated menus (div.columnrt) takes up two lines (could be more), need the corresponding left div (div.columnleft) to be same number of lines, so that everything stays lined up. Each of these pairs sits inside of a li element.
For some reason the gallery image isnt poping up in a window, it just opens it in a separate page. Anyway able to assist?

I have the following link to bring up an alert with a figure in it based on
the screen resolution. but instead of displaying a number 'NaN' is
displayed.
<a href="javascript:alert('Your ideal estimated height is '+
screen.height*0.55-screen.height*0.2);" class="BodyLink">Click to calculate
height </a>
But when I remove the part of the equation '-screen.height*0.2' a figure is
displayed properly. Why doesnt it work when I have a minus in the equation.
Im not experienced with javascript so excuse if this is a basic question..
I am trying to make a random number between 1 and 1,000. I have a code that seems to work correctly, but I don't completely understand it and after looking online I think it might be wrong. Code: var rnd = Math.floor(Math.random()*999)

I have here two inputs with class nbr. The initial values are set, and those values change programmatically over time. My list of inputs is a lot longer than this but I simplified. You can see the work in progress on [URL]. Just insert two random dates in page1 with the datepicker and the navigation will appear. At the end of a series of calculation I need to grab all inputs with positive numbers, and all inputs with negative numbers.I was thinking of selecting all fields with nbr class first, then use .filter() with a function
edit: nevermind, I found it.
$('input.nbr.first').filter( function(){
if($(this).val().indexOf( "-" ) !== -1) {return true} else {return false}
} )
I've checked Google and searched the jQuery forum and didn't see anything. Is there a way to do the following as I'd like to use the same chain multiple times with with different selectors:
var chain = .attr('value', 'Search Digital Collections').css('color', '#E0E0E0');
I've just recently become enlightened by jQuery and would like to add it to my site, but I'm having a little trouble. I made this basic function:
function showPanel(id) {
var panel = $(".further_info." + id + "");
panel.slideToggle();
$(this).toggleClass("minus");
$(this).toggleClass("plus");
}
To give an example of its use:
<a class="panel_control plus" onclick="showPanel(0);"></a> <div class="further_info 0"></div>
The panel is displayed correctly, but the classname of the link isn't toggled between "plus" and "minus."
Tell me how to make decimal points an exception to the non-number pattern?code...
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow to do this but still can't figure it out. I'm currently reading jQuery from novice to ninja but I'm no where close to a ninja. I have a div containing list items, a photo, and a plus/minus button at the bottom of the div. The list items are absolutely positioned behind the photo. When I click on the plus button I want it to change to minus and animate the photo 29px from the top revealing the list-items behind it. Then I want to click the minus button changing it back to plus and animating the photo back up to the top.
I'm trying to accomplish something very similar to what you see on Kyanmedia.com. Except their images animate down and up on hover. I want my image to animate down then up on click and toggle the plus/minus image. I'm new to jQuery so I'm having a real hard time trying to figure this out. Everything I've tried doesn't work. The links to Kyan Media to get an idea of what I'm trying to do.
I need to get a piece of code that will allow me to have a user input a number, say 1-200 and that variable would make up the last part of an IP Address that the user wants to browse to.
192.168.0.[variable]
Is there a script that will allow me to do that?
