I have a website that consists of one some pages with an IFRAME. So some of pages of my site loads inside of the IFRAME. I'd like my visitors to be redireceted to main page when they type the IFRAME URL or they try to visit IFRAME page via search engine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Jquery Superbox to open a page in an iframe in a lightwindow. My problem is that Google will index and link to them individually. If people land on them they don't get the menu and stuff... But they should redirect to my original page if you land on them. And there open the lightwindow and then load the requested page in the iframe.
I allready found a script here that will redirect the pages and display them (if there would be an iframe in my page from the start). But I don't know how I can open the lightwindow first and then open the page in the iframe.

I don't have any experience with JS and I've looked all over for some code help but have not had any luck finding anything.
I need some JS that will detect if a page is loaded in an iframe and if not it will load another page that the original page should be displayed in.
After executing the iFrame-name.location=url (which worked fine by way,) there is a very undesirable event; the parent window also gets redirected to the same url.:mad: I am calling this function from a click event on an Image object. I have tried everything from return(false); to window.event.cancelBubble = true; nothing stops the parent window from navigating. The interesting thing is, if I hit the Back button it goes back and still redirect the parent window automatically, over and over.
The odd thing is I have identical code in another project and I never had problems.
Here is a portion of my javascript func:

I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there. When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. Perhaps this is a silly question (if so I apologise in advance), but I'm a low-level paper-shifter/part-time Web designer in UK Government and I've designed our Company's site.
Problem is like most Government Depts. trying to do anything involves much liasing with other Depts and much paper-shifting.
We have no Servers or Hosting capability ourselves so this part of the site is handled by (guess what?) another Government dept.
Many months ago I asked them to put a redirect on a number of older URLS for our site which were still being linked to by a large number of other sites.
I was reliably informed this had been done and checked the URLS and all seemed okay.
However I have just recently done a search for our site on AltaVista and the top hit is a subdirectory of the old URL with no re-direct seemingly in existence.
Question is if you put a redirect on a particular URL will it/should it always also include the subdirectories within that URL?
I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I am using php and javascript.
