I don't have any experience with JS and I've looked all over for some code help but have not had any luck finding anything.
I need some JS that will detect if a page is loaded in an iframe and if not it will load another page that the original page should be displayed in.
I am looking for a code to redirect visitor if they are visiting my actual page. I iframe part of the page on another page, so I want it to be visible, but if the user visits the page that is being iframed it will redirect them back to the original page where that page is iframed at?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Jquery Superbox to open a page in an iframe in a lightwindow. My problem is that Google will index and link to them individually. If people land on them they don't get the menu and stuff... But they should redirect to my original page if you land on them. And there open the lightwindow and then load the requested page in the iframe.
I allready found a script here that will redirect the pages and display them (if there would be an iframe in my page from the start). But I don't know how I can open the lightwindow first and then open the page in the iframe.
I'll attach a zip with an example page of my code so you have something to mess around with... It's just this code, nothing else...

I have a single web page that loads several iframes. One of the iframe pages has to be logged in first. I have that taken care of but once the page is loaded I need to change the source to a link with in the page. My guess is I need something to execute the code like a onload or something. I used the hidden form to change the url to text - advice from another website. I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I'll explore them as soon as this thing actually works..The types are in a subfolder named types, as shown. The document.write was placed in as a debug helper, and it displays the proper file location of whatever I select with the combo box, but the iframe doesn't change it's src to the selected page! I've tired the last line of the last <script> with several different methods, none of them producing any effect whatsoever.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter executing the iFrame-name.location=url (which worked fine by way,) there is a very undesirable event; the parent window also gets redirected to the same url.:mad: I am calling this function from a click event on an Image object. I have tried everything from return(false); to window.event.cancelBubble = true; nothing stops the parent window from navigating. The interesting thing is, if I hit the Back button it goes back and still redirect the parent window automatically, over and over.
The odd thing is I have identical code in another project and I never had problems.

i'm dynamically creating an iframe on my page. the source for that iframe is a php page that prompts the user to download an excel file. sometimes it can take a little while for this file to be built by php.
i need a way to determine when the php page in the iframe is completely done.
currently, this is what i have.

the problem with onload is that it seems like it fires as soon as the page is even referrenced within the iframe...not completely finished.
I have a page which embeds an iframe like so:

somewhere in my JavaScript code in the page, I set the src attribute of the ifrmae. This causes the iframe to load the page as it should.
If I leave this page to another and click 'back' in the browser, I return to my page, and the iframe gets loaded automatically, using the last src value it had.
I don't want that. I only want the iframe to load when my JavaScript code modifies the src attribute.
It is as if the browser remembers in its cache the last value of the iframe src.
I have been having an issue with this script to resize my iframe(ifr) based on the content loaded in it.I am half bald from this issue. Works perfect in IE7 & 8 but not in FF or Chrome.FF works "almost" - It resizes on first page loaded but doesn't resize if the iframe content is changed until refreshed. (example: If I load search results which shows 10 results and then click one and it loads the page which isn't as high as the search results page was then it just stays at the larger height until I refresh and then resizes correctly.)

Recently started learning css / java - i have a web page with an iframe on the index pages within a div tag, which then loads all other pages into this iframe. The thing is i require the iframe to adjust its height size according to the content loaded.

I have a site with the main content displayed in an iFrame. The problem is the outside frame is not exactly rectangular so the iFrame corners go over the corners of frame. I solved this by having the pages in the iFrame transparent and this works fine. However, I wish to only have the iFrame displayed when it is fully loaded. I have pretty much worked this out but there is just one problem. I cannot work out how to set the iFrame to not display initially so I can then change it from Javascript. In other words, I have the following function that shows or hides the iFrame. I simply parse "none" or "block":

The problem with this is that it starts visible. I have tried adding a

To the iFrame but then the javascript cannot set it to block it stays hidden the whole time. I have also tried putting it on the CSS but the effect was the same. So how can I override the CSS? Or set it to be invisible initially?
I have an iframe and I want to display a loading animation to the user until the iframe is fully loaded, this is want I did:
1. I start the iframe with style:display:none
2. I have a div that wraps the iframe
3. When the iframe is fully loaded a method is called from the iframe 'removeDivs', I change the div to be invisble with style:display:none and I set the iframe to be visible with stle:display:""
4. The problem: Because the div wraps the iframe, after changing the style of the iframe its stay invisible, the property I set doesn't affect.

I'm looking for a script to change the height of a iframe depending on the loaded content. I found some scripts who let it work when a webpage loads in the iframe.
But when the height of the page changes by javascript animations.
Like a box is getting 200px higher by a javascript action. The page won't reload by this action so the iframe height remains in it's current height.
Anyone has a good script that the iframe height even changed on javascript commands?
