View 1 RepliesI am looking for a code to redirect visitor if they are visiting my actual page. I iframe part of the page on another page, so I want it to be visible, but if the user visits the page that is being iframed it will redirect them back to the original page where that page is iframed at?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Jquery Superbox to open a page in an iframe in a lightwindow. My problem is that Google will index and link to them individually. If people land on them they don't get the menu and stuff... But they should redirect to my original page if you land on them. And there open the lightwindow and then load the requested page in the iframe.
I allready found a script here that will redirect the pages and display them (if there would be an iframe in my page from the start). But I don't know how I can open the lightwindow first and then open the page in the iframe.
I'll attach a zip with an example page of my code so you have something to mess around with... It's just this code, nothing else...
I don't have any experience with JS and I've looked all over for some code help but have not had any luck finding anything.
I need some JS that will detect if a page is loaded in an iframe and if not it will load another page that the original page should be displayed in.
I need to redirect a page to another url when it detects that the page is opened inside an iframe.
<script >
if(location.href != top.location.href){ window.location = 'http://myurl.com' }
</script>

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm going to make an attempt at coding a nice tree menu that is decent with browser support.
I want the tree to be displayed on all browsers (well, within a decent range). Of course, on older browsers, the menu won't be as functional.
Now, I'm going to be combining the javascript with a server-side language (asp.NET) and I'll be able to do some basic browser detection on the server.
But, I read about javascript object detection and am wondering how well that works exactly.
Like, what if a browser that doesn't support objects period tries to run some object detection code? Also, which browsers support user defined objects?
See, I'm thinking of breaking down the script in 3 categories. Browsers that won't get any javascript... these would be the browsers that don't support object detection, browsers with basic javascript... with these I would be able to code my own object and I would test for different features. And then there would be the browsers that can run it all.
So, basically, my question is what browsers support what features and how should I break down my code between them? A long time ago (back in the Netscape 4 / IE4 days) I did some javascripting, but since then I haven't really done any. I remember that NS4 didn't support div tags but supported layers... anyway, it got really messy.
I was wondering if there exists a script that would do two things:
1) Determine the IP address of the site visitor
2) and, based upon the IP address being either an odd or even number, display a particular version of a webpage. (Odd-numbered IP would show page version A, even numbered IP would show version B)
The reason for desiring the above function is to be able to do a split-test to find out the pulling-power of two slightly different page designs.
After executing the iFrame-name.location=url (which worked fine by way,) there is a very undesirable event; the parent window also gets redirected to the same url.:mad: I am calling this function from a click event on an Image object. I have tried everything from return(false); to window.event.cancelBubble = true; nothing stops the parent window from navigating. The interesting thing is, if I hit the Back button it goes back and still redirect the parent window automatically, over and over.
The odd thing is I have identical code in another project and I never had problems.
Here is a portion of my javascript func:
function clicked_SubmitScreensBtn() {
var url = "ovExplorer.asp?Action=show&QData=BLABLABLA";
var iFrDoc = document.frames("ifrmOVExplorer").document;
iFrDoc.location.replace(url);
window.event.cancelBubble = true;
return(false);
}
And this is my iFrame in the HTML of the parent window:
<iframe name="ifrmOVExplorer" id="ifrmOVExplorerID" src="blank.htm" style="Z-INDEX: 10; VISIBILITY: visible; POSITION: absolute; LEFT: 22; TOP: 380; WIDTH: 306px; HEIGHT: 280px;" marginwidth="1" marginheight="1" align="left" border="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no">
</iframe>
I am displaying an external website via an iFrame on my website. I am using the following code to detect if the iFrame tries to redirect the parent window:
Code:
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">

on the click of the input=Submit, if is selected "Insert New User",
how can I redirect the user to another page (.aspx, .ascx, .html, etc) where he can insert the new values?
Goal 1: display errors above the form on same page
Goal 2: direct users to a new thankyou page when form is submitted.
The form uses ajax. I am able to get it to work with the error messages displaying correctly but as is, the thankyou message also displays in the same spot and the form is left filled out. I need it to direct to a new page I designed for the purpose.
I am currently using:
$("ul.tabs li:first").addClass("active").show();
$(".tab_content:first").show();
$("ul.tabs li").click(function() {
$("ul.tabs li").removeClass("active");
[Code]....
There are 2 options I could use but I don't know how to do it.
1. Using a get parameter to select the tab
2. Using the cookie plugin (not sure how that works)
I loaded page in div , usign jquery ajax

I want to redirect my page to the EXACT same page the user is viewing. Kinda like window.location.refresh(), but it refreshes the page, means it empties some part of the cache and will reload images. I want it to simply open the page again, exactly like when I click a link refering to the same url. I've tried reload(), but it doesn't reload either.
window.location.reload();
window.location.refresh();
window.location = '';
window.location.href = window.location.href;
I want to redirect a page to another page in JSP after a certain validation has been done using AJAX. If the validation is done it should redirect the user to another page but if validation is not done then it should remain on the same page.
