Number Of Days By Month Report Based On Start And End Dates
Oct 1, 2010
I have a requirement to generate a report (tabular view) which displays number of days by Month from Start Date to End Date. Also, total number of days that fall in the range in the corresponding year.
I am looking for a Javascript function as a solution to the above requirement but could not find one.
For example,
Start Date: 02/15/2007
End Date: 08/22/2010
Report should be as displayed in the attached text file.
I have searched Datepicker, the forums and the internet in general to find the way to determine the number of days between two dates using Datepicker. My inputs are named: Starts, Ends, Days. I found the code below, but cannot get it to work.
// calculates reservation duration function resDuration(#Starts, #Ends) { var date1 = new Date(#Starts.value); var date2 = new Date(#Ends.value); var minutes = 1000*60; var hours = minutes*60; var days = hours*24; var diff = Math.abs(date2.getTime() - date1.getTime()); return round(diff / days); } /* put that value in elapsed days field */ $('#Days').val(diff); I will then do validation on the result - input field "Days".
I have developed a application in jsp. I need to achieve a count down timer(days,hours,minutes,seconds) between from date to todate, considering below cases. All below are assumed
(1) I have 4 product, for each product i have different end date stored in mysql in DB.
(2) I need to calculate time time remaining for the end date for each product, for eg;
Product 1 end date : 10/05/2010 (i need to show the time remaining for the end of 10/05/2010 from current time and date). Like wise i need to show for different products.
I'm trying to get Xin's Popup Calendar -- [url]-- to work with the following form:
I need the dates to fill the month select field, the year select field, and the date text field but I cannot understand how to do this, I'm very new at javascript.
What would be the best way to convert a month number to its corresponding string? I.e, 3 -> 'March'. Is there a builtin function or must I use a lookup table or something?
i have just started learning & understanding JavaScript. I am just trying to do a small project for my Brother regarding Leave Management, for which its required to Select the From Date & To Date, wherein the Total no. of days should be calculated, excluding the weekends.
I have just worked around to calculate the number of days but i am not sure how to exclude the Weekends. & what if the the Year is a Leap year - So how will i include the Extra days of Feb month. I am using RAD date-pickers to get the Value & split it.
But being a newbie to the Coding world i m really N'joyin the JavaScript....
Just need help regarding this coz i m totally helpless...

I am new to Java scripts. But at my job, my boss asks me to come up with a calculator that calculates the number of weeks on our website. But I want two calenders where in the first one the user will select the start date and in the second one, the user will select the end date. And There will be one last button that says"calculate" and a text box to display the number of weeks.
I am having some difficulty in constructing a window.confirm() function that works with my code.So if the form data is valid, I need to use a window.confirm() dialog box to show the user's total cost based on the rental rate of equipment chosen and the reservation period. The user must accept the cost by pressing the confirm button, and if user cancels do not submit data.I have written this code but cannot figure out how to find the number of days from the 2 date fields and use that to calculate and display the total cost.
//confirm submit and display rental cost var equip = document.forms[0].equipment.value var pDate = document.forms[0].pickupDate.value[code].....
working further on my project lined out in a previous post - here's another pickle:
I have two dates set, a beginning date and an end date for a period of time. That period can span several years. I now need to calculate the months in that period in accordance with the following reasoning:
I have a JS function which checks whether the directory field value entered starts with an alphabet or number only. Following is the code using regular expression.
function testpw() { var un = document.getElementById("dir").value; if (/^[^A-Za-z0-9]/.test(un)) { // only a-z0-9 allowed as first character
[code]......
method which only accepts "/ktp/knas/" as the starting value and anything after that. ie it should accept /ktp/knas/*, rest everything is not accepted.
I have a javascript controlling the display of a DIV that I did a while back that needs a bit more tweaking to add function to hide the DIV on specific holidays. As it is now, by default, the DIV is being hidden unless it is M-F between 8:00AM-6:00PM:
<script type="text/javascript">
Im assuming that I would just add more else if statements, but not really sure the cleanest way to assign specific dates using this format.
Where I work there are certain dates where nothing can be done, certain times where work can be done with caution, and dates where work can be done. I want to put on the site a traffic light that would change colours based on the calendar dates where work can/can't be done.
For example, if April 11th there is stuff to do, the traffic light would be green. But April 12th, there isn't work to do, it would turn red. Do you know how I would go about doing this?
I have a dynamic jCarousel which pulls in JSON data from php, and prints out the list html. What I'm trying to do is set the carousel start item as a variable, which would find the item with the class ".active", and start with that item. The problem is that since the data is dynamic when it looks for the start item, the list hasn't yet been rendered, therefore doesn't find any class or list data. The code below works with a static list, but not dynamic. I think my options are (a) wait for carousel to load, then somehow set the "start" item after, or (b) after list loads auto-scroll to the item with class ".active".
Here's the code i'm working with for the dyamic list: ------------------------------ <script language="javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { /* create an image slideshow from a JSON array using jcarousel */
converting days to weeks and remaining days. For example : Total days : 152 = 147 Weeks and 5 Days: so I want to write a function getWeeks(152) and it will return an array of 3 elements 0 will be weeks and 1 will be days.
The following code is supposed to provide a different alert message when a page is loaded, based on a random number generated on load. Can anybody see what is probably a very obvious problem that I just can't see?[code]
I have a HTML file where I want to use javascript to generate a random float number between 0. and 1. and if the number is > or = 0.7 I want the background color of the HTML file change from beige to green. Is this stuff easy to achieve in javascript? Im a total javascript
I have mulitiple 'a' tags with different classes (aclass1, aclass2, aclass(n)) and I have multiple divs, also with consecutive classes (divclass1, divclass2, divclass(n)). Is there a way to select the 'a' tags to match the div based on its number (ie. 'aclass1' with 'divclass1' and aclass2 with divclass2)? For example something like this:
