i am displaying a pdf using an iframe. i am going to be storing links to a lot of pdfs in a database. So i want to be able to loop through and change the iframe src based on a button click.
is there anyway I can do this?
For reference i am writing the code behind in vb .net. The pdf links will be directory links more than likely, I just need to be able to store whether or not a user was able to see a certain pdf, but thats another question for another day
I've been trying to get this page working with dynamically loaded iframe sources passed by URL, but I can't seem to get it working.Here's the relavent code:
<script type="text/javascript"> function delineate(str) { URL = str.indexOf("=") + 1;[code]...
I used the hidden form to change the url to text - advice from another website. I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I'll explore them as soon as this thing actually works..The types are in a subfolder named types, as shown. The document.write was placed in as a debug helper, and it displays the proper file location of whatever I select with the combo box, but the iframe doesn't change it's src to the selected page! I've tired the last line of the last <script> with several different methods, none of them producing any effect whatsoever.
I have 10 images on a blank page, all have the exact same source. I want to change all 10 of their sources with javascript to all be one new source(from source1.jpg to source2.jpg in code below). [code]I know I could run a loop and change all 10 of them individually in the loop, but I can't help but think there is a more efficient way. I was thinking of just making them div tags of all the same class and use the image as the background and then using javascript to change the class property. Basically I am asking what you think is the fastest processing time for the user, while also keeping the code very small.
What i'm trying to do is load dinamicaly a js file like this; <script scr="mijs"> This is my code in my html file:
HTML Code: <html> <head><title>Untitled Document</title></head> <body> <input type="button" onclick="executef()"> </body>
[Code]...
The problem is when I try this alone works, but when i try it inside a window.showModalDialog throws me "object expected" error. I think maybe is time loading problem but i don't know what to do,
I need my form to submit to two sources, zoho crm and broker office. One is used to create a contact list and the other is an insurance quote engine.How can I use javascript to force my form to submit data to both sites?The bigger problem is they use different names for the same field. In other words one wants to recieve a vaule as first_name and the other wants it as firstName.
I have this code in a page that appears in my iframe if requested from parent:
<script type="text/javascript"> parent.rrr(); </script> The parent code is: function rrr() { javascript:location.reload(true); }
So, the person clicks a link from the parent, it does a php process in a hidden iframe, which then tells the parent page to refresh. The only problem is that it puts Firefox in a constant loop of refreshing. IE and Chrome work fine. They refresh once and stop.
Though the src code opens the iframe like so: <iframe src="" style="display:none; height:1px;" name="hdplus" id="hdplus"></iframe> Firefox seems to refresh the page with the memory of the child page being in the iframe, constantly looping the child request to refresh the parent.
Why won't Firefox just accept that no page should load in the iframe, as stated in the code? I need to stop this loop, which means I need to get firefox to reset the iframe as it reloads the page.
I have been looking at this code for two evenings now, and rewrote it 4 times already. It started out as jQuery code and now it's just concatenating strings together.
What I'm trying to do: Build a menu/outline using unordered lists from a multidimensional array.
What is happening: Inside the buildMenuHTML function, if I call buildMenuHTML, the for loop only happens once (i.e. only for 'i' having a value of '0'.) If I comment out the call to itself, it goes through the for loop all 3 times, but obviously the submenus are not created.
I'm looking to send a loop variable (i) to a function inside the loop, but I can't seem to get it to use the value I want, it keeps making it a reference of i and therefore the function is always called using the last value of i rather than the one it was set with.
So if i have 5 Tabs then Tab 1, when clicked, should call DefaultTabClick(0) and so on rather than always using 4 for any of the tabs.
I have the code below, how could it be modified to loop over and over and reload the xml file each time. Flow would be: load xml, run thruogh code to display each xml node one at a time, when reach last node, start all over, reloading xml file,
I am doing some studying and we was to create a small loop using either the for loop, while loop or do while loop. I chose to do the for loop because it was easier to understand, but I want to know how to do the same using the while loop. Here is the for loop I have, but I cant figure out how to change to while loop.
for (var i = 0; i < 5; ++i) { for (var j = i; j < 5; ++j) {
I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there. This one works, almost, for me: [URL] it does resize for me, but not quite sufficiently high each time - about 90% of what is required: [URL] Is there a way to add on sufficient extra margin that scrollbars no longer appear?
Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really.Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with.We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum.
I have a page A and inside it I have an iframe B. B points to another php file that shows a form (so basically in the iframe we see a form). When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. The problem is that I see page X and Y inside the iframe, and I want to see them in the parent page.
I have a page that displays in an iframe. How to get the index of the iframe in the parent window in which my page is getting displayed using javascript.
HTML Code: <html> <iframe src="A.html"></iframe> <iframe src="B.html"></iframe> <iframe src="C.html"></iframe> </html>
if I run the javascript from B.html then I should get the iframe position as 2. same way, if I run the javascript from C.html then I should get the iframe position as 3.
I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I am using php and javascript.
How would i go abouts putting a javascript code into a hidden iframe and then have it update new messages to another frame if there is a new message?
By message i mean it checks the database for a new message ( this is for a chat ) Its the javascript im not sure how to set up... If someone could point me in the right direction thatd be great.
How would i change iframe content from another? ? I just need the 1 line code not a whole example, what i have atm is the page refreshes and a new variable is given i want the variable displayed on another iframe.
