Looking For Script That Will Allow Traffic To Visit Links From My Site?

I am looking for script that will allow traffic to visit links from my site, but will have to come back to me to exit. In other words I do not want to loose visitors to other web sites.

Can a random page be loaded without a prior visit to a site?
I have a list of 15 people with a photo and contact information in a table with 3 columns and 5 rows. The issue is that the people near the bottom want a chance to be at the top the first time the page is viewed. It is unlikely that a second visit would happen.
Is this possible to load a random page for a site without it being viewed or logged into before, therefore no cookies will be used.

I want to have a jquery modal window which displays automatically when a user visits the site (preferably at any page). This modal window would then contain a disclaimer message with an 'OK' button to acknowledge the user has read the disclaimer. When the OK button is pressed, the modal window closes and the user is free to browse the rest of the site - the modal window would not display again on any other page, nor if the user visits the site at another time. Now, in theory, I know I need some code for a jquery window that automatically displays, and then have to set a cookie to ensure that the browser doesn't display it again, but I'm just not sure which is the best method to go about it.

With Google Analytics, you have to create a new profile for each domain, and post different code on each domain.
I'd like a traffic stats script (or website) where you can just add the same code for any domain, and that domain will be automatically tracked, even if it's a new domain. So if I have 100 domains and then add the same code to the 101st domain, it will track that domain fine.
Doesn't matter if the script needs to be hosted on your own server, or if it's 3rd party like Google Analytics. It can be commercial too if it's got an unlimited domain license. Anyone know of something like this?

The jQuery library is definitely very useful for those who have development background experiences but don't have the time to learn Javascript in it's true nature. I've played with it on and off, on a few smaller sites I manage, and the outcome was truly amazing. I don't know Javascript at all, aside from the basics and I was able to create a very fun and fast UI very quickly for my visitors. I wonder though; Does the jQuery library hold up efficiency for larger sites?
I currently manage a site with over 1.6 million post, averaging around 15,000 post per day this month. With me not having the time to really learn Javascript and I don't have much of a budget to hire someone to do the work I want yet, it would seem logical to use jQuery if I already know how to use it, right? I just worry, with the growth rate for the site at it's all time high, I'm afraid that jQuery will do more bad then good.
Are there any high traffic sites successfully using jQuery that you know about? has anyone experimented with jQuery on their high traffic sites? Would it seems more sensible to hire someone to do the Javascript work?

Where I work there are certain dates where nothing can be done, certain times where work can be done with caution, and dates where work can be done. I want to put on the site a traffic light that would change colours based on the calendar dates where work can/can't be done.
For example, if April 11th there is stuff to do, the traffic light would be green. But April 12th, there isn't work to do, it would turn red. Do you know how I would go about doing this?

this is a simple script, that uses ajax that sends to the server the total amount of time (in seconds) that the visitor was reading or whatever.
var startime=(new Date()).getTime();window.onunload=function(){
var x=(window.ActiveXObject)?new ActiveXObject('Microsoft.XMLHTTP'):new XMLHttpRequest();
x.open("GET","count.php?t="+(((new Date()).getTime()-startime)/1000),true);x.send(null)}
that's the javascript...
<?php $f=fopen("visitLength.txt", 'a');fwrite($f, $_REQUEST["t"].";
");fclose($f);?>

Having just dipped my toe in the jQuery pool, I've managed to create a preload and fadein for images on this portfolio site.However, when I view the page in Firefox something odd happens. Initially, the images load in fine with the desired effect. But when I click the logo (which links back to the same page), the images fail to load. I have to refresh for them to reappear.

i have a document that places, reads cookies, and counts visits. it's design is to display text reading: "you have visited this site "x" times. this works fine - last week's assign. My assignment this week is to modify this document to display 4 images in succession. first, using a series of "if" statements within the body. next, is to replace if statements with switch statement. finally, to use an array to display images. i've been working on this for a week, and have made seemingly no progress. this is my starting point:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<HTML lang="en">
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Track User Visits</TITLE>

I'm trying to set up a login formular with PHP and JavaScript/jQuery. Currently it sends an alert box, if some information are wrong. If correct, it refreshes the page, and everyone's happy.
However, I noticed upon the first visit, I cannot log in. Lets say I go to www.mysite.com and try to login, it displays a blank alert box, when it's suppose to display the username, that I supplied, and is wrong... however, it's blank.
BUT! If I go to another page and login with false informations, an alert box with the wrong username pops up - if I login with correct informations, it works.
How come it won't work on first visit? What am I doing wrong here? :confused: Pressing F5 won't work either - I have to manually switch to another page for it to work.

I am extremely new to javascript. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it. I have learned that one must create, read, and delete a cookie. But what is the function for a 2nd time visitor to NOT see the flash video again when revisiting? I want the 2nd time visitor to see the same page, only without the video, the video will be replaced by a contact form.This is what I have so far:
<script type="text/javascript">

I run an adult social network. I'm trying to have a lightbox disclaimer popup once per user visit with an accept/decline button at the bottom. I don't want the user to be able to click out of the lightbox, scroll the window in the back ground, or get around the lightbox any other way... Currently, I paid someone to do this for me and this is the code they came up with. The problem is, all it does is show a white box in the middle of the page, no disclaimer, no content. Also, the webpage in the background is still scrollable...

I am new to jquery, and love it so far, but I am more of a designer, not a developer. I am learning jquery to enhance my sites, and I am having a problem figuring out buttons.
I have them working in firefox and safari, but in IE links do not work.
Here is the script I have, and the button code.

My menu navigation(Home, Hosting Solution, etc..)
1. The submenu links need to be centered in the middle of the div instead of aligned to the left.
2. Can the submenu links have a rounded box appear under them, instead of being underlined links. Like these at the top: [url]
3: The top tab needs to stay gray/active/on when the mouse is moved down to the submenu or when it is the active button.
Here is the link of the site [url]

I'm using jquery/ajax to create some links with window.open method. Here's the relevant code:
$("#content").empty();
$.ajax({
type: "GET",[code]..........
Basically, when you click a link a function is called with a parameter based on the particular link you run. Then the code runs through an xml file, and if the parent of the nodes I've cyling through has a value equal to the parameter past to the function, that node is used to create a new link with window.open function attached to it.It all works, or seems to, and when I alert what is being built, it looks right to me, yet the links don't work.I've attached a copy of one of the alerts of one of the links as it's built.

I want this .click target to be the link: $('a').click(function(e){

I have tried using closest()and currentTarget:

this may be more of an "html" issue, but I'll wing it.
i've got a multi-language site, where the home-page of each language group
features a link to a popup window that offers background info on site
management. the popup is fired by a javascript function, when they click
the site management link. there's also a "window close" function button so
they can nuke it as they please.
now, oddly, people who search for my site in the chinese language on google,
are sent directly to the site management popup window, which of course,
opens in their "full" browser window, and which also has no links back to
the main site, because it's meant to open only as an "accessory" to the main
site.
my question is this: is there any way, with Javascript, that I could
determine if they arrived at this window from "off-site" (ie, a google
search), and therefore offer such "off-site" visitors a link back to the
principal site, a link that would be hidden for visitors who clicked the
popup window from my own site?

Basically, I registered for a free board at one of the various sites because my server doesn't support .cgi scripts. I want to know if there is a way to have the data from a form on my site post to the board site -A user would fill in my form, click submit, and a new post would appear on the board site -as if they had entered it there.
If you can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. Here is my thinking.
A) I can't locate the script that they use to perform a "submit"; so I thought I might enter their <head> data (as far as xmlns, href, etc) in my <head>; that my website might call up their script files, css sheets, etc.
B)I could code my own Javascript function to send my form data to their site. If I knew how to simulate a mouseclick on someone else's site, I could have the script "click" there, paste the data, and hit the submit button. But I don't.
C) I could size their site down to the form itself and put it in a frame on my page
Option C is clearly easier, but I would prefer option A or B. I have time and will happily do the research myself; provided that I know if approach A or B is even feasible.
