Initially, the images load in fine with the desired effect. But when I click the logo (which links back to the same page), the images fail to load. I have to refresh for them to reappear.

I'm trying to set up a login formular with PHP and JavaScript/jQuery. Currently it sends an alert box, if some information are wrong. If correct, it refreshes the page, and everyone's happy.
However, I noticed upon the first visit, I cannot log in. Lets say I go to www.mysite.com and try to login, it displays a blank alert box, when it's suppose to display the username, that I supplied, and is wrong... however, it's blank.
BUT! If I go to another page and login with false informations, an alert box with the wrong username pops up - if I login with correct informations, it works.
How come it won't work on first visit? What am I doing wrong here? :confused: Pressing F5 won't work either - I have to manually switch to another page for it to work.

I have a list of 15 people with a photo and contact information in a table with 3 columns and 5 rows. The issue is that the people near the bottom want a chance to be at the top the first time the page is viewed. It is unlikely that a second visit would happen.
Is this possible to load a random page for a site without it being viewed or logged into before, therefore no cookies will be used.

I don't want the user to be able to click out of the lightbox, scroll the window in the back ground, or get around the lightbox any other way... Currently, I paid someone to do this for me and this is the code they came up with. The problem is, all it does is show a white box in the middle of the page, no disclaimer, no content. I want to have a jquery modal window which displays automatically when a user visits the site (preferably at any page). This modal window would then contain a disclaimer message with an 'OK' button to acknowledge the user has read the disclaimer. When the OK button is pressed, the modal window closes and the user is free to browse the rest of the site - the modal window would not display again on any other page, nor if the user visits the site at another time. Now, in theory, I know I need some code for a jquery window that automatically displays, and then have to set a cookie to ensure that the browser doesn't display it again, but I'm just not sure which is the best method to go about it.

We use a three-window frameset for online manuals. The "main" window
contains our document. Since the documents have hyperlinks between
them for related topics, we have "return" links built into a
navigation bar on some of the pages. Most of the time these work
fine, but if the person clicked on the top or left frame before
clicking on the "return" link, the wrong frame is changed.
Does anybody know how to alter the script so that only the main
document window is in focus? Here's the script we use in the page:

By the way, this is for a company Intranet - with all users on IE5.5

I have a site with frames. Like most sites with frames, clicking
links in one frame changes the page in the other frame.
Obviously, if someone puts in the URL for my site, they will get the
"homepage" when they first get there. What I would like to accomplish
is that if they leave my site, and then use the BACK button to come
back, that the site will open with the homepage, not whatever page
they were at when they left. Is that possible using javascript? If
so, how?
My site isn't actually "on the web" yet, so I can't give you a URL.

With Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox I can reload the whole frameset

However, this doesn't work with Opera.
Does someone know how to do that with Opera?
I'm using a hierarchical menu made in javascript.
When I used it in a one frame page, it came out fine. But now I need to change my page to 3 frames: a top frame, a left frame and a right frame.
The menu is on the top frame and when hovering the categories, the sections appear under the left and right frame.
