Jquery :: Checkbox Filter - Page That Lists Products

I have a page that lists products. i then have a list of categories with a checkbox next to each one. i want to be able to refine the products list based on the categories checked. but i want to not have to use a submit button on the form and not have to refresh the page. i know i need jquery to do this. not sure how though.

The idea is while the user waiting for results the loader to highlight the area of result..lets say if he doesn't click any other of options between 3 seconds the results of what he had already checked to be displayed.

I was wondering if anyone was aware of a script that would reccomend products from a list on another individual products page?
I would like something that will list three products that a customer might be interested in when they are viewing an item on my site.
I have an ecommerce site where I was told that I needed to use javascript to avoid paying alot of money for something very complex and more than what I need.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, do you have a script to get me started?

I am trying to make a multiple checkbox filter. It works by selecting/unselecting checkboxes the divs with classes revered to the checkboxes will activate deactivate.

There two problems. I want to replace the sliding effect. I want to make a table with the divs in it. And when a div is deactivated the text or image shows grey and the link is disabled and when activated the text/image shows black/color and the link is enabled. So when you uncheck/check the boxes the divs will toggle between the two styles clickable and unclickable. I also want to make a second checkbox/radio row with different css styles to choose from. When a style is selected and you click on a link in div it will send you to the page with the selected style.

Where you're able to click a swatch color and get a thumbnail of it on the model and a thumbnail of a fabric detail that you could then enlarge. I'm not sure how to go about this. I'm able to do it with one thumbnail, where when you rollover the various swatch colors, the thumbnail of the model gets replaced. However I'm unable to add in the 2 other thumbnails (on that site they're using 3 but I would only need 2) that would change at the same time, where you could switch back and forth from at detail of the model and the fabric.
I don't necessarily need the zoom function, but if it is possible to do all of those that would be good too.Otherwise I just need help coding how to at least get the swatches to change 3 images upon mouseover and that 2 of those images would be like the 3 thumbnails on the link above and would replace the larger thumbnail once clicked.

Let's say I want to filter the contents of a target web page, and
present a simpler page on the screen.
For example, let's say a target web page is full of links, text, images,
forms, etc. and I want to present a simple page containing just the links.
The original page is not "mine", that is, I can't just edit it in
notepad and stick some javascript in it.
So, what I want to do is write some javascript on a new page that I'm
developing, that will somehow "access" or "read" the target page, scan
and find all the links, and present them to the user.
My question is, what's a straightforward way from javascript to access
the target page ?
Should I be somehow loading it into a DOM object and then "walking" the
tree ?
Or should I somehow read it's HTML as text strings and parse it looking
for anchor links ?
What functions, methods, classes, objects in javascript achieve the goal
of something accessing a remote page and "looking" at its contents.

how to do the following, here is a simplified example:
Let's say I have a database of pictures of animals. A search for "pets" is performed and it loads a page of thumbnail images. Somewhere on the page is a list of other search criteria (text link or checkbox) that would narrow the initial returned results. An example would be "cats", "dogs", "hamster", etc.
Is there a way after the initial search is performed that the results could be further filtered without having to hit a submit button and reload the page?

I have a program that allows the user to input a product number from 1 to 5, and the amount of each product number sold. After all values are added, the program is supposed to calculate each product's total retail value, as well as the total retail value of all five products combined. The program runs fine, up until the end. I got all my alert boxes working, and the program is doing the multiplication as it is supposed to. However, when I get to the end, I receive "Last weeks total retail sales are: $NaN".

I'm trying to create a Invoice form with javascript. Basically, my invoice form should have the field item, cost, quantity and product total.It shd have a function to allow the user to add rows if they want more than one item. In the end, there should be a sub total. I am able to use javascript to calc the total of each product for only the first row. What i'm trying to do is:
1. Add the totals from products under added/Cancelled to the sub total
2. Then taking the sub totals added them to the total products
3. Need the total # of products that was selected as well
4. Then from the total products, want to Added subtract cancelled Divide Number of products = total net (1.34% = 134% w. the decimal moved over 2 spots to the right)

Im trying to validate a form using javascript. If there are errors in the form javascript lists them in a div tag on the top of the page. the problem is that whenever i click the submit for the first time everything is working but after i get the errors if im clicking submit again, it's submitting the form regardless of the errors...

Im fairly new to JQuery and need some help. Googling failed me :o have a web page that initially auto refreshes every 30 secs and has a bunch of checkboxes that are initially unchecked. I am trying to make it so that if at least one of those boxes it checked the page stops auto refreshing (without reloading the page, preferably). Is this at all possible? I am using Perl to generate the html.
My auto refresh is in the header, but im open to sticking it somewhere else, as long as it doesnt create crazy memory consumption that i've read about on these forums:<head

I'm a mediocre website designer i know html , at JS i'm to noob to actualy make something of my own :) just Edit, i'm still learning and atm i'm working on a web project and I'm struggling to find a way to Filter email addresses to redirect my New Members to their e-mail provider, for example if they would register newmmember@hotmail.com to be forwarded to www.hotmail.com so they would login and activate their account, or if they enter @yahoo.com to be forwarded there . Can you please point out a few things i'm eager to learn how to Forward User to email provider after he creates his account . Or how can i forward email to URL inside my webpage , this could help me with another ideea i have, again this would have to be filtered @yahoo.com , @hotmail.com etc , to be forwarded to a local URL inside the site depending on what Email Provider they enter .
