I get the data back fine. However inside getuser.php my data is in a sortable list. If i use this code above. My data comes back but I can no longer sort my list and move things around (I'm guessing because its returned as HTML only). Can anybody give me a solution of what i need to change so my list is also sortable again?
How would I create and IF .. ELSE statement using the following check: the LMB needs to be pushed down while the mouse moves up? I assume that mouseup() and mousemove() need to be used. but putting them in an IF conditional I am not sure about... not sure how to make the check to ensure both are true.
I'm using jquery-1.4.2 with PHP. I have a grid of records with a link to a form i'd like to use to edit the row with. The form is built using php, and works as expected when called just using a regular html link.
When the form is called using $(".ajax").click(function(event), the form comes up, but the textarea(s) are messed up; <textarea>Stuff for the text area
Suppose, Ia text file stored on the server. We all know that when a file stored on a server is opened for viewing, some bandwidth is consumned and the consumption increases with every refresh of the page and so on.
So if i use $.get on the client browserto reteieve the contents of the text file stored on the server, will it affect the server bandwidth consumption? I just want to make it clear that it is just a plain text file.
I'm looking forall posibilities as how to retrieve the contents of a text file stored on the server from the client browser without necesarily having to consumned any server bandwidth.
How does setTimeout work? If the user moves the mouse or types some text into a form, does it reset the timer? Or does it start running when first triggered and simply timeout after that amount of time?
For example, if the timeout is set to 5 minutes and after 4.5 mins, the user moves the mouse over the screen, does the timer reset to 5 mins or will it still timeout after another 30 seconds?
How can I get this moved over the the JavaScript forum? The issue I am having is with the JavaScript not with the Sql database.http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=220870
I have been trying to do some tooltips for a website and desperately wanted to learn something new and do that with jQuery.However, every time a mouse hovers over a tooltip, all hidden divs are shown, not just the one that supposed to. Here's my html:
I'm looking for some javascript to work with wordpress (jQuery preferrably) that will show/hide multiple divs on one click.
I had one working but it was kinda janky because it was causing me to have two divs with the same ID on one page. No good.
Since I updated to wp2.8.3 prior to launch, it's not working. So I've decided to just try and do it right.
Here's a page: [URL]
So, what I want to happen: On page load, the first tab: "general" and it's corresponding div beneath should be showing. And the first image should be showing. The other content divs and images should be hidden. I've given the text content divs a dashed border to show their borders. When a visitor clicks "dine at home" the general div and image hide, the second content div shows, as does the second image (it's currently the identical image, but the client may change later.) Etc.
I'll be using this function on a few other pages as well.
how to adjust this javascript to work on two different IDs at once?
I have a costestimatorslider using jquery ui slider as:
$(function() {
As you can see I can add the value from the slider ui.value without any problem.Now I would like to be able to ADD or Extract the$('.cost') value to other value as Total(total=parseInt($('#total').html());.) which is Sum of some other calculations stored in a HTML table cell in the page as:
I tried to do it by this way butFirstof all it doubled the value which makesense and it's wrong!, besides itcouldn'textract the cost from the total.
I want to detect when the window is moved, in order to trigger something. I have managed to get the current X and Y coordinates, but other than checking periodically for changed coordinates, is there a way to do this? I want to be able to trigger the code pretty instantly when the window is moved. Probably not possible without checking every half a second - this would be too cpu intensive right?
I'm creating web application in asp.net using vb.net. I have two textboxes txtbox1, txtbox2 respectively. In txtbox1, as and when I entered two characters, the cursor should automatically moved to txtbox2.
i am new to Html and i am helping run a website for virtual golf. we were thinking of adding a Statistics page but would need the table used to be sortable so by hitting the header the column sorts the figures in order, the tablw would only be 50 rows and 8 columns. i have looked at the website [URL]../docs/but cant seem to sort out where to place things. a step by step guide would very much be appriciated.
I'm having some trouble figuring out how to fully configure my count on click code for my site. Right now, the function is that whenever a user clicks on a piece of text, the number next to it increases by one. The basic code as of yet is as follows:
Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function add_to_mycounter(){
Can I make a list of hyperlinks that users can customize and save as a cookie by clicking a button and automatically retrieve the cookie so it remembers their list next time? This is kind of what I want to do:
In the above code i have a list of sortables, i want to add the draggable($obj) to a sortable, even though i add to the sortable in the add method, that gets added but does not play as a draggable,Do i need to call any method of sortable after adding the draggable ?
I'm implementing a drag and drop newsletter, where my users can drag content to different areas of a template. Depending on where they drop the content, I need to add different HTML attributes to some of the code (essentially need to make the images float:left if they're dropped into a certain box). I've achieved a basic version of this using this code:
$('.review_list').sortable({ receive: function(event, ui) { // somehow need to make this only apply to competition/ mainfeature
[Code].....
This adds align="left" vspace="4" hspace="4" onto any image dropped into an element with the 'review_list' class (I know I said it was float:left but this code will be emailed so I have to do it old school style...). Anyway: is there a way that I can get the element that has received the sortable item? It could be one of three in my case, and I only want this code to be added for two of them. I guess I could run a cleanup function when submitting that removed this addition for images in the other element, but this seems messier - I had assumed that the 'receive' event would return the receiving element.
I've take the standard Demo code from 'm trying to make the images within the Trash container sortable.Despite attempts for the last couple if hours and a number of different combination, I'm still unable to get it working
