View 6 RepliesI have a form with a jquery listener that runs when you click the submit button. If there are errors an alert box will pop up telling you what they are. sometimes this box will pop up multiple times because the form is being re-submitted without clicking the submit button.

i have wriiten a form in my php page and i did call an ajax function on onsubmit, based on my ajax response my form have to be submit...but i am not getting ajax response text some times. But some times i got it correctly..i have used post method in my ajax function.
formid="reserve";
var f = document.getElementById(formid);
var keyValue = "";
keyValue = buildKeyValueSearchFunction(f, keyValue);
alert(keyValue);
ajax_request = createRequestObject();

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
Is it just extraneous code possibly? It seems to be ok (from right to left) in Firefox 3 but using IE and Opera, it scrolls from btm to top and I cannot figure out why.
I have the following javascript code (based on jquery)
[Code]...
On page load it gets content from "recom.php" then it refreshes the content every 9500 milliseconds into an element with the id "recom". How can this code be modified so that it will refresh the content only "x" times? (in my google searches I found that clearInterval should cancel the refresh but I couldn't make it work)
It concerns the load() method. I planned my website as 100% ajax enabled and therefore all content-elements are being loaded via jquery.Problem: Clicking on a menu-entry should load the specified content. This works 2 or 3 times and then the website crashes OR the performance goes rapidly down and I have to close the tab in my web-browser.Trigger for the load method (tried both, but they are causing the same problem)
$('#menu_home').click(function(){ loadSite('home'); });
$('#menu_home').live('click', function(){ loadSite('home'); });
Self-designed load() function:
// load links from menu
function loadSite(siteId){
// append loading animation

I have a slider in jquery which is running fine but I want to stop the animation/moving of sliders after 3 times.

The original code was:
Jquery:
Error (IE 8)
Message: Expected identifier, string or number
The error is in this line >>>if( animCount<animMaxCount)<<<
Can somebody tell me if it is possible to use datepicker more times in one page. And how can I do that?!

I have a problem when I use the .live() function that I can't figure out. It's something I've run across several times and it keeps confusing me.
My jQuery:
jQuery('#content div.portfolio').live({
mouseover: function(){
jQuery(this).find('img').fadeOut();
[code]....
My problem is: when the mouse enters and leaves the image the image fades in and out for up to four times. The first mouseenter is just fadeout, fadein, fadeout. why is the event being triggered multiple times and more importantly what can I do to prevent this behavior?
I have a series of 6 checkboxes with the same name. The purpose is that whenever one of these is checked or unchecked, another part of the page is filled again based on an AJAX query, that has the values of all the checked checkboxes as input.
I added an onchange event handler like this: $('[name!=stage]').change(refillActionsParameters); what happens is that this handler function gets called 6 times when I check or uncheck any of the checkboxes. As a remedy, I put the onchange handler on the form that contains the checkboxes, but that didn't help, still 6 times.
Also: is there a quick way to retrieve the values or the ids of the checked boxes?
I want to do a similar effect on my site as this site has doneWith the times of the cities running along the top of my page. Their whole site is built in tables and has an insane amount of javascript in the head so I am guessing the site is quite out of date.Is there a easier/simpler/cleaner way to do this? Maybe using jQuery?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm struggling to find out the correct bit of jQuery to use, so that I can repeat a process 4 times. I am trying to achieve the following:
When 1 <a> is clicked, I want jQuery to add the class current to that <a> and the next 4 <a>.
All I need to know is the correct selector or filter to use in order to achieve this?
I need some help achieving an effect.
<span>SOME TEXT</span>
First part, move "SOME TEXT" left 20px and fade to 0 at the same time. Easy enough.Second part, repeat the same effect half way through the first part is done and the starting point is left 20px.So I would need to create the first effect. Half way through the first effect the second effect starts but it has a different starting point.
I´m using Autocomplete - jQuery plugin 1.0.2 .. I know has been upgraded to another plugging but i want to continue using the old one.
I have on issue that I would like to get rid of it but I don´t know how. The problem is that when a term is searched, the autocomplete list suggest the same term multiple times, as many times as there are products with the same name, lets say the same text "cold beer". I just want that autocomplete suggest the term one time.
I copy pasted some code that hides list headings on sharepoint2007 web page.As im new to jQuery I just made 3 copies of the script.But I suspect there is a beter way to code this?Maybe put all scripts in one block. Or maybe it realy does not mater?
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("table[summary='abc'] tr:eq(0)").hide() }); </script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("table[summary='xyz'] tr:eq(0)").hide() }); </script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("table[summary='123'] tr:eq(0)").hide() }); </script>
I have a need to count how many time the image ok.png is displayed within a div. this is for a dynamic sys req. check where 1 of three images will be shown in a row. If the endusers browser doesnt meet certain req, it will show either an alert, question or an ok.png.I need to know how many oks there are, specifically I need to check that all five images are the ok.png so I can show the rest of the content.I am able to get the number of images with a simple var totalgreen = $("#wrap img").length; But im stuck after that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I get a function to repeat itself an unspecifiednumber of times?BACKGROUND: I have created a digital clock with which I verysatisfied except for one shortcoming: it displays only once and stopsticking. The only way to keep track of the time is to refresh thepage. I have introduced the setInterval( ) function in a variety ofways to compel JSClock() to repeat itself, but to no avail.SOURCE CODE:

I don't know how to write jquery scripts, but I can modify a little. I have a script I want to use, but I want to duplicate this script several times on a page. I know it has something to do with assigning classes, but I can't figure it out. I put a new instance in a div, I want to do this several times on the page, the class is thumbs, but I guess I have to have a different class for each instance, becauseon the 2nd instance (div) when I click on the thumbnail, is effects theimage in the first instance (div). I need to have each instance work indepently in each div.
Here is what I am trying to do.
It would be nice to be able to sort plugins by the number of times voted on. I know you can see how many times it has been voted on after you go to the detail page but it would be helpful to get that info as a sort field on the "Most Popular Plugins" page because then you could tell wether a 5 star has been voted on once or a 1000 times. I personally would rather get a 3 1/2 starred plugin voted on 1000 times then a 5 star voted on once by the developer. Don't get me wrong I would vote 5 stars on my plugin too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a function that I call a variable number of times and I need to know when the calls have *all* been completed. How would I build that? As I understand the deferreds, the $.when syntax is as follows:
$.when(dfrd_func1('a'), dfrd_func2('b'),
dfrd_func3('c')).done( function() {
console.log("All Done");} );
will send "All done" to the console once each of the functions are complete.
So, I have the *same* function that I need to call a variable number of times with different parameters, i.e. :
$.when(dfrd_func('a'), dfrd_func('b'), dfrd_func('c'), ...).done(function() {console.log("All Done")});
So, is my approach wrong? Is there some way to build an array of functions that could be executed?
I add multiple items with each click and then I want to remove them one by one by clicking. All is ok, but if I add 2-3 items and the click the first one, confirmation alert fires multiple times when i click Cancel. The number of times depends on how many items goes after curent.

Im trying to make a script, which will call .php by $.post as many times as divs i have in my document.
Script looks like this
The problem is, that if I have two of these divs, the php script will run 4 times...i there are 3 of them, script runs 9 times. it is very important to run it as many times as number of divs.
$("#ucet").append(echo); is for testing how many times php script will run...its always wrong.
Example: [URL]facebook tab on the left). Is anyone aware of a jQuery plug-in that would do something similar?

It would be awesome if you guys would let me convert that into a drupal module - as my site has been getting hit by several spammers, and im not a fan of captcha as much as I am your module.
