View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been checking out the calendar plugins and I was hoping I would find one in which I could display listed events during certain dates. For example, I have a web site for a divers club and we have events that happen on certain dates. I would like to have a calendar in which the user could click a certain date and something shows the user what is going on that day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm far from a JQ guru but I built a page using two plug ins (slides and pagination) If I run just the pagination plug in ( for the images thumbnails ) and the slides plug in ( WITHOUT) the function code both seem to work OK. But I need the slide function code for the slides plug in to rotate the images as well and when I do this I get a grey area displaying the image numbers in between the div containing the slide and the footer, rendering the thumbnails not to work as well as the footer pop up menu does not function either see links below
http:[url]....
slides - images display fine / thumbnails work ( no function for rotating slides )
viewport / footer - working

slides - images display fine / rotating images work ( with function for rotating slides )
thumbnails DO NOT WORK
viewport - DOES NOT WORK.
why all of these plug ins do not work all together on this page?
How do I combine two plug-ins in the same HTML page? Here is my code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery/jquery-1.4.2.js"> </script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.innerfade/js/jquery.innerfade.js"> </script>[code]....
I'm trying to use the fade in effect and the validate plugins. They each work independently, but when I combine them, neither one works.
I'm trying to add the lightbox plugin to a page and when the image is clicked the overlay and corresponding image are pushed to the bottom of the page wit the image below the overlay. The gallery div is nested inside a couple other divs and when the gallery images are clicked the overlay and lighbox divs are pushed to the bottom of the page instead of being absolutely positioned over the existing content. If anyone has some ideas on how to fix this I would like to hear them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe know that multiple calls to $(document).ready(); in the same page is possible.
I have a situation where another team implemented a $('#element').live('click', function() { /* Do this */} ); call on #element. I cannot modify this code, but I need to take an additional action on the same element on the same event. So, two actions will occur when #element is clicked.
I tried making $('#element').live('click', function() { /* Do that */} ); but this call does not fire.
It needs to be .live() since #element is being dynamically added.
Is there any way to add more actions to the same event on #element?
I'm currently working on a browser based 2d multiplayer rpg using PHP and ajax. As the number of beta testers has increased, I have found that there is a significant amount of lag involved in changing maps (maps are 480x480px ea consisting of multiple images. What I would *like* to do, ideally, is only load each image once. So the first time I encounter "grass1.png", for example, it is loaded into div id "grass1", and never needs to be loaded again. My question is this, is it possible, to do the above, and then call div id "grass1" for each instance of the image?
This way, I could store all images encountered thus far. When the player left a map, all images would be positioned off-screen, and moved into the field of view as needed. I am already doing this, but there is a div for each unique object. (meaning there could be 10+ divs for the same image, for just one single map!). This would be much more efficient if I were able to call and store just one div per image, and just display it multiple times in multiple places.
i have a bbcode for download links on my forum when this bbcode is parsed, it will display a link under the download link BUT only for the first 3 links.so basically i would need a javascript with a counter, that will display some text if the counter is > 3 and then add +1 to the counter normally i would EASILY do this with php, but i can't (bbcodes are parsed not parsed by server on phpbb, and you can't use php code in bbcodes)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using php to write nested div's to a page. The div's display depending on a condition
[Code]...
then display using block, inline-block, table, inline-table, and still the inner element div or table will not display.
The webpage doesn't display the proper times when I load it up.The GMT variable deals with the Greenwich timezone, which that time is used with offset variables in order to get the right times from each respective time zone in the branch offices. So far it seems only houston and new york display the right times or close to it all the other ones are way off.

Can somebody tell me if it is possible to use datepicker more times in one page. And how can I do that?!

I want to do a similar effect on my site as this site has doneWith the times of the cities running along the top of my page. Their whole site is built in tables and has an insane amount of javascript in the head so I am guessing the site is quite out of date.Is there a easier/simpler/cleaner way to do this? Maybe using jQuery?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen my page loads, it automatically jumps down as if it were jumping to a named anchor. It's more apparent on longer pages (doesn't replicate if page fills screen). Happening in Win FF/IE/Chrome Disabling stylish-select.js (from [URL] where he used to allow comments but not anymore) fixes it, but I don't know enough Javascript to debug, Good example at [URL] Script is at [URL]
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know how to write jquery scripts, but I can modify a little. I have a script I want to use, but I want to duplicate this script several times on a page. I know it has something to do with assigning classes, but I can't figure it out. I put a new instance in a div, I want to do this several times on the page, the class is thumbs, but I guess I have to have a different class for each instance, becauseon the 2nd instance (div) when I click on the thumbnail, is effects theimage in the first instance (div). I need to have each instance work indepently in each div.
Here is what I am trying to do.
The following code works find in firefox and chrome. In IE, it only works the first time I click on a link.
// I have some div's where help is, which I make non-viewable
<div id='help_guides'>
<div id='issue1'>Help with issue 1</div>

My goal: I'm trying to to create a configuration dialog and persist it so the user can edit it later. Since the configuration is long and has Datepickers, Sliders, different types of inputs and such, I'm loading a new page for the configuration and using ID to get values from them. For example, the page has a datepicker text input "startDate" and a datepicker for it.My problem:1) I load theconfigurationpage into a div of home page make a dialog out of it. jQeury moves that div to it's own div that it created in the body of home page. So when I add multiple dialogs, datepicker doesn't work anymore since there are two "#starDate" input fields in the page now. I also plenty of other cases where I use the ID directly to do other tasks. Is there a way for me to go forward with this.

Is it just extraneous code possibly? It seems to be ok (from right to left) in Firefox 3 but using IE and Opera, it scrolls from btm to top and I cannot figure out why.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm new to JS and am trying to use an image several times on the same page, having each image show rollover behavior. The rollover code works for the first image on the page, but when I hover over subsequent images it only changes the rollover state of the first image on the page, not the image I'm hovering over. I'm using the following functions to change rollover state:

I got a very good select script that produces multiple values and it works fine by itself but I have two other instances of the same script on the same page. View 9 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a javascript function that can log the following information for each pageview:
1. The total page rendering time (not php script execution time, but the time at which the entire page is rendered from the user's perspective - all images loaded, ads served etc)
2. The URL of the page
3. The browser used to access the page
4. The country the page was accessed from
The script should then store the information in a database via an AJAX call after it's been collected.
It sounds like a tall order, but it will help me get a picture of how fast or slow my site feels depending on where you live (e.g. how far you are from the server), what browser you're using, and which pages are the slowest to render (keep in mind this is not script execution time or query time, but literally the time at which the page starts to render, to when it finishes rendering).
