I have:
<script id="foo" type="text/x-jquery-tmpl">
<p>${100 * parseInt(x)}</p>
</script>
When I do:
$('#foo').tmpl({'x':5}) // or '5'

I've been searching and everything I find says that ${} should be able to handle arbitrary expressions, but there seems to be some syntax magic/intolerance going on here.
The documentation on e.g. the fadeIn() method does not specify any constraints on the callback argument. Does that mean that 'anything will work'? Specifically, is recursion allowed?I want to know whether jQuery design has deliberately taken this into account. Yes, I can read the source code. No I don't plan to do so (for now), since I consider it an essential gap in the documentation.[code]
Where processItem does something to the <li> element that just got generated. As it's written, though, the element doesn't exist at the time processItem is called.Here's how I run the template:
// Make the AJAX call to the service $.ajax({ dataType: "json",
I'm trying to use the jquery template plugin on ie, the code looks great on firefox and chrome but ie refuse to show any data.I'm attaching a sample code , this not the full code, just an example.
Is it possible to check if template is already compiled and in the stack? For example I need a boolean check, to decide to make ajax call for template or pick it from compiled stack. var callback = fucntion(template){do stuff...} var template = $.tmpl('thumbnail',data); if(!template) {do ajax and get template, then use callback} else{ callback(template); } This would be great, but it doesn't work. $.tmpl doesn't return false if template isn't compiled and in stack.
been looking for a solution to this one for a couple of days, with no luck, I downloaded an under construction template from herethat incorporates keith wood's countdown timerjquery plugin. Its a perfect template for my site. Trouble is i just can't find a way to adjust the timer. it works fine, without adjusting any of the code but it's default display reads that there's 500+ days estimated to launch. As it's for my business website i don't want people to be put off visiting again, so i wanted to adjust the timer to just a few days. (i.e estimated time of launch 3 days, 72 hrs, however many mins & secs)
I have a template and I am popularing it with .tmpl(). Everything is working fine but now I want to apply some styles, animation effects (fade in/fade out) etc. to elements inside every template row. My problem is that the template rows are getting generated on the fly and I do not know their IDs to access them. What should I do? How can I apply styles and effects to them? Here is my template code:
Working throu' the Sammy Tutorial with an intent of using a RESTful django server with sammy.[code]Where the console on chrome reports Uncaught ReferenceError: Sammy is not defined and altho' I get to see the template code in the webpage it does not appear to be rendering.All files are visible from the browser including the template code.The error is reported from line 55 [code]which comes after the function declaration.I'm a python/django creature and rarely venture out to the wilds of the client side. Have I made some particularly simple js/jquery/sammy error ?
The scenario is : I have to fire an ajax request, get the json values and populate the page using jQuery template.
I'm able to fire the ajax request and in the success function I'm getting the data also. But I'm not sure how do I proceed with the Nested JSON data that I have received. I am passing it to the .tmpl() function but nothing seems to be working.
Here is the json data that I receive :
{ "activity": { "date": [ {
[Code]....
It also gives me an error sometimes that says "c.tmpl is not a function" which is linked to the jquery.tmpl.min.js .
I have built a website using a)MySQL b)HTML c)PHP and d)Javascript. My website consists of basic html pages/templates which have links to the left and point to another templates/pages. For example, i have 4 templates in my site
Each template consists of 1. a small menu with links,every link points to another page 2.space for the content/text of the html page 3. a form for searching in the website using php and a mysql database. Well, i'm thinking of adding some animation in my website using the jquery library.Let's say we have an accordion which has 4 choices and when the user clicks on the first choice the 1st template(NEWS) appears inside the slide of accordion,loads in the same slide, not in a new page!!!This is what i would like to do, place in each slide of the accordion one of my templates. CAn this be done? Which are the disadvantages of adding in each slide of the accordion a different template for my site and remain in the same slide when the user clicks in one of the links of the template? Consider that i'm using dynamic content and not static, i have a MySQL database behind.
Also,as i have seen in most examples the options of accordion usually contain an image, a content, a text or links which open in a new window or tab not inside the slide!!!These links do not load in the same slide!!i would like to have a template which loads in the slide each time the user clicks on a link of it.
Server-side code returns a JSON representation of a query like this:
{"recordcount":3,"columnlist":"messageid,messagetext,dateposted,firstname,lastname","data":{"messageid":[3,2,1],"messagetext":["hello? is this thing on???","what? why?","Hello, and welcome!"],"dateposted":["{ts '2010-12-05 11:32:51'}","{ts '2010-12-05 11:32:17'}","{ts '2010-12-05 09:44:30'}"],"firstname":["Mortimer","Tom","Waldo"],"lastname":["Who","Dickenharry","Emerson"]}}
Makes sense, and jQuery converts it to the equivalent javascript object when it comes back in an AJAX response, but I'm having trouble using that with the template plugin. It apparently expects an array of individual objects, each with a field for each query column.The server response is an object containing recordcount, columnlist, and data members, where 'data' is an object keyed by column name, whose values are arrays with the data for each record. It's equivalent, in a familiar format, and a much more concise representation than the javascript for an array of individual objects, since it doesn't repeat the column names for each row, but it's not the same.
I am a jquery newbie and trying to make a template switcher function. Here is what I have so far: [URL]. If I click on "login page" or "member page" first, and then click on "Template 1" or "Template 2", it wont work. IE gave me "permission denied" js error. FF didn't give me error, but nothing happened. Is it because after we click on the login or member page, the DOM elements has changed, so it doesn't work?
Code: $(document).ready(function(){ var templateframe = $('#templateframe').contents(); noclick(); $("#templateselect li a").click(function() { var style = $(this).attr('rel'); templateframe.find('link').eq(0).attr("href", "styles/" + style + "/_css/main.css"); alert(templateframe.find('link').eq(0).attr("href")); return false; });
$("#pagenav li a").click(function() { var page = $(this).attr('rel'); $('#templateframe').attr("src", "template/" + page + ".html"); noclick(); return false; });
$('#applybtn').click(function(event) { var title = $('#sitetitle').val(); if(title.length > 0){ templateframe.find('.content h1').html(title); } event.preventDefault(); });
function noclick(){ $('#templateframe').load(function(){ //$('#templateframe').contents().find('.content h1').html('Hey, I've changed content of <body>! Yay!!!'); $('#templateframe').contents().find('a').click(function(event) { alert("Demo Only"); event.preventDefault(); });});}});
I am hoping to use a 3rd party script for a simple JQuery photo slider for my WP blog. But the script creator says: "If you are trying to 'include' this into a blog template then you will need to have a good knowledge of the template structure and how it is pulling the information from the database. The files that I supply are intended for use in a normal xhtml page where you would just add the javascript calls and stylesheet links to the page head, then embed the xhtml into the web page or use a simple php 'include' to add this at run time." He couldn't help further. The blog theme I purchase comes with a photo slider but I wasn't happy with it 100%. I took the code from the new one and put it in as best as I could where the original one was formatted. I am not a programmer though and I know that clearly I did not do it right, as I used "a" ids like you would in HTML and I know they don't belong in PHP. However, it magically is working somewhat! All the graphics are showing, it's pulling images, and they are sliding. I just need to clean it up a bit. Here is a page where it is on:
I have an external script that looks for a specific id. Right now (im a noob to scripting btw) id have to have a version of this script in my header for each id or create an external script per id. I would like to have the script use a placeholder where "1stID" is, so that when i call the external script i can just say what the id is.
myscript.js (truncated) <script> var v = getelementbyid("1stID"); </script>
I want to call it like: <script src="myscript.js" #ID </script>
I am working on a rapid html prototyping framework. This would allow me (as an interaction designer) to create html prototypes fast.I have been looking in templating plugins to help with building the templates or filling them with content. For example {{ lorem_ipsum }} would be replaced with a few paragraphs of random text. This is easy to do with several plugins.
However it would be great to be able to add a bit more flexibility by using functions like {{ loremWords(100) }} which would add 100 random words which are different for each replaced item. Or something similar to add a menu or other snippets.It is probably not too difficult but so far I have not gotten it working yet. And the pluginsI have found are either too complex, requires script tags or can't handle functions.
add a css rule to my web template? I want to change the width of it?? It is wider than the normal size template so it runs off the page. How do I make it skinnier?
Question: Is there a possible way to create a js function that will change a web page template and have the duration change every 4 months? This means that all pages corresponding to the template being used will change with the template?
I have 4 page designs and would like to implement the different designs every 4 months but would like to create a script that will automatically do this instead of having to manually go in and change every page to match the template desired.
I have designed a template for a script in html and planning to sell it, but i am too concerned with piracy because i need money urgently for my further studies and piracy will ruin it,
So is there anyway you can suggest from protecting it?
The 1 way i have in mind is the first time the template loads it send the domain name using the template to my site and automatically placing a php file in another directory so that if i find the user malicious (using the pirated copy) i can disable the template and request him to buy a legitimate copy.
And can that javascript be divided into parts? like 1 part in header another in body and so on, so that it is hard to find the code.
I know there is no 100% full proof way of securing but having done little from our side can also help us avoid few pirate's .
I need to know how to create an web template in Javascript or may be what is the simple way to create an Web template.I don't want to use dreamWeaver or other tools.I have watched some of the webpage and they are using Javascript to create an template.
I have a html template and I want to insert a deeplink tag like this Code: <a href='{deeplink}'>nice name</a>
Because I want an output like this: Code: <a href='[URL]'>nice name</a>
When I do this the output is like this: Code: <a href='<strong>Deeplink</strong>: <a href="[URL]" onclick="window.open(this.href,'_blank','location=1,resizable=1,status=1,scrollbars=1,toolbar=1,menubar=1');return false">[URL]</a><br />'>nice name</a> How can I trim this code to get the results I mentioned before.
I need a script that will allow me to save a number of e-mail drafts that I can use over and over again. I need to be able to simply open the saved e-mail, enter an adress from my adressbook (or type it in if necessary) and send it off. I need to be able to do this over many times.
The web hosting company told me I need a server side script to do this. I have no idea where to look. Can anyone point mein the direction of a free script that will do this relatively simple task.
I've built this DreamWeaver template for a website, the links I am using are Jpegs that, when rolled over, change to another Jpeg with a different color scheme. When I preview the template in any browser on in DreamWeaver's Live View, everything appears to be working fine.
Here's the problem: When I make an HTML page based on the template and attempt to view that HTML page, I get the following results:
Firefox: Nothing happens when rolling over IE: ActiveX prompt, upon allowing unblocked content I'll go over a button, at which point it switches to that "I can't find the image" image. DW Live View: Same as Firefox
I can't think of anything that would make that happen, here is the code I am using.
