I've been using jquery to automatically scroll around on my site. Although I'd like to know if it is possible to have it scroll in a less smooth fashion. Say I'd like it to scroll in steps of 50px.
In my WebApplication ,In vertical scrollbar scrolldown some position after the refreshing the page again scrollbar position goes to the top of the verticalscrollbar.How to get back the scroll position after the refreshing the page.
Is is possible to have a range slider that can have multiple steps?
so for example <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("#slider-range").slider({ range: true,
[Code]...
the reason is that I have a range slider that has a price from 500 to 100,000 I want the range from 500 to say 5000 to step every 100 but over 5000 I would want it to step every 1000 or something to that nature.Everything I have tried does not work and I cant see to find any examples of how to do such a thing online.
I am designing a website and I just want that if a user open it on any resolution then it will fit it self to that resolution and no scroll bars will come like google, yahoo etc. I know it is possible but not know how?
I had a problem with the jquery formwizard plugin, when trying to add new steps by this code creates error in a sense that I can't click next, because the validate plugin validates the next form, even though the user didn't go to the next step yet.
Then all the other ajax drop down forms won't function properly in the new duplicated steps eventhough I used the .live() function What's wrong with my code? About form wizard, it divides your one form into alot of parts using span id as the name of the separate page and the class = step or step_submit as next step or submit page
I've been stepping back and trying to understand basic ajax calls again. I want to build up a simple gallery. I've got that done, but now I want to add fades, and eventually slides effects to the main image. I can't figure out how to coordindate the timing or a fadeOut on the current image with a fadein on the incoming image. Any thoughts? Right now it just fades and the of course gets hidden.Also not sure if I should fade a container around the image, or the image itself as I've done here,
It launches in IE and give the user instructions, then at the click of a button, launches my setup.exe. I want my webpage to launch setup.exe then go to another webpage on my CD, congratulations.html, which says "installation is complete etc". Here's what I am trying to do through JAvascript. It doesn't work. Should the first instruction be flushed in order for the 2nd one to work?
I want to use the values of text boxes on my HTML webpage to create a webpage URL (like below):
<script type="text/javascript">
My text boxes are as follows:
Now this all works and the result webpage URL prints to id='ID1', but the big question is how do I use this resulting URL in another Javascript section as the src="?
I am trying to display a webpage from another domain and tried to access its elements and I am facing issues with this.
I tried using "iframes" and am facing cross domain issues.
All that I want to do is, set and get the attributes of the elements of the webpage from the other domain (eg: set text field value, get dropdown box values, click button etc)
Is there a way to get this job done?
I thought of browser addons however it will be a browser specific solution.
i have 1 div with scrollbars and another div with a table inside. when user scroll horizontal bar in div1 i want application to scroll the table header from the same amount of pixels and in the same direction. i did not find anything under jQuery about that.. :-(

Could anyone know the script code for a WEBPAGE ON TOP OF A WEBPAGE? The site was not working anymore, so I can't tell you the link. This is what I saw, When I visited the site (Mainpage) There's just a Welcome Image that shows CLICK HERE TO ENTER. After clicking the link, a loading faded icon appears on top of Welcome Image covering that Welcome Image with Webpages, it's like popping to the center of the page. I don't know if someone of you could understand me. It's like Page on TOP of another Webpage without leaving the 1st page.
I need a solid and reliable RSS parser for my web page. I saw jPage and it looked good except the RSS must be on the same domain - which seems to miss the point a bit.
I am looking for a js script that will monitor when a hyperlink is clicked and force that link into a new window or native application.
If the link is to a different web page, the link should open in a new window. If the link is a word document, the document should open in word or the default editor. If the link is within the same page, such as a back to top or bookmark, the link should stay on the page and simply go to the desired location.
I have the following scroll script, which scrolls round the page fine, works exactly how i want it too.
Code JavaScript:
However, i need it to ignore the top say 200px as i have a fixed header at the top of the page that the content scrolls behind.
Meaning that when i scroll to top it scrolls the content to behind the fixed header so i cannot see it, so i need it to scroll to just below the header.. so to treat the bottom of the header as the top of the browser i suppose....
I am trying to make the link on each day in the calendar go to a new page on the site instead of populating a form with the current day.
For example, if you click July 6, 2011 I need it to go to /events.php?page=calendar&event-date=2011-07-06 The link shows "/events.php?page=calendar&event-date=" when you hover over it, but it does not actually link to anything. I also need to dynamically pull the date clicked into the url.
Dunno if its jquery or javascript but Irememberseeing somewhere that you can use code to load a document into your webpage. I want my site to be easy to update so that when I make a html change it will update throughout all of my pages. So I want to have the page load both the top and bottom parts of the page.
I would use a frame or iframe but those are not good for search engines.
I want to create an web page with infinite x and y.
In web page user can add widgets , once widget added they can place it anywhere on the page , and when next time they login again we have to reposition every widget exactly what they originally had.
is there a way where I can have the mouse when it right clicks anything in a webpage that it would have a drop down menu appear or fade in the drop down menu. In the menu I want to have buttons that once clicked it will run a function but it will send some values to the function as an argument. Now one value it will send to the function will be either the name or id of the element selected for example lets say for example a user image 1 got selected and only has a name. How can I select the name? like if the person right clicked this element how can I select the elements name or id ? I know how to pass it to the function but don't know how I can select the element without doing this manually in the code.
I am new to jQuery.I have a problem where I want to traverse through DOM.For example a complete webpage.Is there any jQuery way to traverse complete DOM of the current page where the jQuery script resides ?
