Is is possible to have a range slider that can have multiple steps?
so for example

the reason is that I have a range slider that has a price from 500 to 100,000 I want the range from 500 to say 5000 to step every 100 but over 5000 I would want it to step every 1000 or something to that nature.Everything I have tried does not work and I cant see to find any examples of how to do such a thing online.
I need to use jQuery range slider for setting up limits for multiple ranges which are interdependent, something that is similar to slider that we use for hard disk space allocation during OS installation but mine is a web applcation and the data necessary would be fetched from DB. I've tried the following code but I couldn't get two ranges. Only two handles are active.

I want to make a slider that allows my user to split this date range into multiple ranges. So one person can do:
Jan 1 to Jan 5, Jan 6 to Jan 12, Jan 13 to Jan 31 Another person can do: Jan 1 to Jan 21, Jan 22 to Jan 31. How many regions they create doesn't matter to me. The goal is to pull it off with a Javascript slider that works similar to Adobe's gradient creator. Handle's can be added by clicking and removed by pulling it away from the slider. Handle's can also slide around fairly liberally.
I've been using jquery to automatically scroll around on my site. Although I'd like to know if it is possible to have it scroll in a less smooth fashion. Say I'd like it to scroll in steps of 50px.
Anybody knows how to do something like this using jquery?:All I've found only shows one image at a time and what I need is to show three images and keep sliding it to show a new one but still keeping the last two.The last example is using Mootools but I am using another effect in the galleries using jquery and they don't work at the same time.
I have added the Flowplayer jQuery scrollable slider to the web page linked below and I am trying to add more than one instance of the slider to that page. So essentially three galleries. Can someone figure out how to rewrite the jQuery function to accommodate the additional scrollable items on the page?
I had a problem with the jquery formwizard plugin, when trying to add new steps by this code creates error in a sense that I can't click next, because the validate plugin validates the next form, even though the user didn't go to the next step yet.
Then all the other ajax drop down forms won't function properly in the new duplicated steps eventhough I used the .live() function What's wrong with my code? About form wizard, it divides your one form into alot of parts using span id as the name of the separate page and the class = step or step_submit as next step or submit page
I've been stepping back and trying to understand basic ajax calls again. I want to build up a simple gallery. I've got that done, but now I want to add fades, and eventually slides effects to the main image. I can't figure out how to coordindate the timing or a fadeOut on the current image with a fadein on the incoming image. Any thoughts? Right now it just fades and the of course gets hidden.Also not sure if I should fade a container around the image, or the image itself as I've done here,
I want to validate two a date range using javascript, so that my program would check startdate less than end date. The below function only check the year, and it works.
I'm messing a lot with the issue but it is driving me nuts Issue is, I'm applying Nivo Slider on 3 instances. It works fine on 2 but not 3rd. If I apply the Nivo Slider on 2 instances then it works fine for 1 but not for 2nd. So Strange.

This is just an example. In reality the <p> element marks the end of an unknown range of elements. The <p> element is easy to detect by its attributes.
I have a date picker with a textbox input for 'from' and 'to' the page loads with default values which display in the textboxes.What I want to do is: when the page loads, these values are sent to my SQL server, the server checks for entries that are within the range, then reports back on the page the results.Subsequent changes to either from or to dates should result in a similar call to the server for validation. no submit button, just change date = changed output.I figure the best way to do this is with AJAX. So I have a date picker, but how do I send the results to a PHP file to do what it will with them? How do I handle two dates, not just one? How do I get the output on screen? Finally, in my PHP script, would this at least provide me output?
let say i have an id range Ie. test1, test2, test3 ... How do i call all of them at a time ? I cant use getElementbyId for sure ... Anyone has any clues?
I insert text at the text cursor in a contentEditable div. I then have 2 adjacent text nodes so I want to normalize them so there is only 1. The problem is that after I normalize I lose focus on the div and my [text] cursor position. Is there a way around this? How can I save my cursor position and go back to it after I normalize?
