Sep 18, 2005I recently been reading a code for a moving jpeg file. as im designing a webpage and the gif format looks rubbish when i use it. [URL] however i cant seem to get the thing to work. ive made sure the code has the directory for JavaLogo.class file and for the jpeg i wana use and that their in the same folder. ive told it how big the frames are but all i get in frontpage when ive entered all that is a blue J that doesnt move.

Make Webpage Jump To Top When Link Inside Iframe Is Clicked?
Apr 6, 2007My website uses a very tall iframe to display catalog pages from an external website. I'm using iframes here to make it look like the external catalog pages are on my webpages.
The problem is that when a visitor goes to my page, scrolls down to view all the contents inside the iframe, and then clicks a link inside the bottom of the iframe to goto the next page, that next catalog page will load inside the iframe, but the visitor will still be looking at the bottom of the iframe on my website, and thus has to scroll up to the top of my website to see the top of the iframe's contents.

How can I make it so when someone clicks a link inside the iframe, that the page with the iframe automatically scrolls to the top appearing as if the whole website has refreshed?

Apr 8, 2009I've implemented the following into one of my web sites. It moves the container down with the page when a visitor is scrolling down.

It works well, although when tested in Safari and Chrome it doesn't move down the page. Works well in IE and Firefox.
Does anyone know where a similar example is cross-browser compatible?

Moving The Current Focus On A Web Page With Frames Using JavaScript?
Jul 20, 2005I am designing a website for disabled football supporters and because
of this, I obviously must consider accessibility to blind users whilst
I am producing it - as they are one of the disability groups that I am
targeting the page at.
The page basically consists of two frames; one being a vertical list
of links positioned on the left hand side of the screen and the other
being the main content pane, positioned in the remaining area of the
screen on the right of the first frame. The first frame is used to
drive the content of the second frame.
Now, I'm not sure if this is possible in JavaScript, or indeed in
another scripting language, but what I want to do is to be able to
alter the current focus or caret? on a web page when a link is
clicked. That is, when the user selects a link from the left hand
frame, then the new content is loaded into the right and the current
focus jumps straight to this new information, as opposed to having to
tab through all the same links again in order to put the focus there.
I know this is only a fiddly little thing but it is something that
would really improve the usability of the site, especially with screen
readers in mind.
