JQuery :: Make Sure That An Attr Has Changed Before Continuing?
Aug 25, 2011I have an input form with an on / off switch that the user needs to toggle to make changes.The 'switch' is an img and when the user clicks it I get jQuery to load either the 'on' image or the 'off' image.

When I set the switch to 'ON' I also get jQuery to enable all the input controls in the form (they are disabled by default when the form is opened). The problem I'm having is that when the user clicks the switch from off to on the first time it has to download the on image (I can see it pulling it down from the server in Firebug) and the controls are enabling before the switch says 'ON'. I don't have this problem when switching back to off again (I assume that the image is cached and can be quickly accessed by the browser):

Aug 27, 2010I have say 12 pics on a page, in 3 rows of 4. The rows of pics are there so that a choice can be made from each row and I'm using a function <script>

to toggle a border colour change so that you can see what was chosen from each row. The function I have used is fine in that it works, but I can only choose one picture and have the border changed, then if I click on another row the first border that changed obviously changes back and the new selection is highlighted. I don't really know where to go from here.

Aug 3, 2011I have an img#info that I want to fade in when a div#trigger is hovered over. Then I want to be able to move the mouse over to the image and click a hot spot there, without the image disappearing because I moved off of div#trigger.
The code to fade in img#info is simply:
