When a user clicks a button I dynamically load large CSS and JS files. I handle it in this way:
[Code]...
It works great, but the problem is that sometimes the dialog box opens before the CSS has loaded. I would like to add the equivalent of $ ("#example").load(), since using load() does not seem to work.
Im updating a website to use ajax instead of Iframes. Ajax is working fine to load html content into a <div> yet my issue lies with the navigation buttons that trigger my ajax requests.
I have css styled buttons that contain <a> links </a>, i have removed the href and used a onclick event instead but when i remove the href the mouse will lose its hand cursor on hover and the css styled buttons stop working correctly.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript"> function loadXMLDoc() { if (window.XMLHttpRequest)
This is just a page swapping images on the mouseover event, but i want to remove the mouseover events from all links when the the on click function is triggered, this is the html code,
I click an ajaxified link in the left column div, and it loads content in the right column div. All is good! Now, tho, I want to click a link in that right hand content, and replace it with new content. Targeting the "right column" div name does not work; the content loads in a new window. I have a 2 column page.Left nav which contains a list of items with links to their respective details page.What I'd like to do is to load that link into the div in the right side of the page.want to do this via Ajax, so I don't have to reload or redirect the page.I do have my layout coded, but my jquery code is not even close to work, so I didn't post it here.
Having a bit of trouble with this. I'm not a JQuery novice, but can't seem to understand why the Triggerhandler isn't working for this particular PHP site I'm working on. I've used the same type of code in a Drupal site successfully.
I can't seem to find a plugin that can help with either.
I bind a custom event on page A,then ajax load page B。In page Bthereis a <a> link which trigger the custom event.Problem is :the trigger function work when i place the trigger function in page A ,but not work in B by ajax load.
I like to try to do some jquery and spinner then load some html code into a div content. I'm not looking deep into the coding part of jquery yet but here's my question. What will be the a href tag look like?
Do you put the url on href or attr? Can I still put the url on href? The reason I ask it's because seo friendly? Will search engine look into other pages by href? But I guess this way will actually load the whole page in the browser and there's no way I can do ajax stuff in this format? I like to do something nice on my links but don't want to hurt the seo part.
This frustrates me so much, because shouldn't it still find the links? I tried the below just to make my selection more precise (even though I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if there are no other links of that class on the page):
i have build a website with google maps. You can find it here: [URL]
Within this website you can search for farmers in Baden-Württemberg Germany. So if you try to use it for debugging just search for "Stuttgart" f.e.
My problem is that if i click on a marker displayed in the map the associated pagination tab should be opened. I tried to select the link matching the pagination tabs within the Google Gevent.addListener event like: $('a.'+linkid).html('klick mich');
Chaning the html code of the linkid was just for me, so i understand how jQuery works. But how do i implement the function i need?
I'm using the following code to attach a method to the click event of my button. It definitely works, but unfortunately the click event happens on page load even though no one has actually clicked on the button. How do I prevent this? $('#btn').bind('click',etCategories());
i have a basic 2 column page, on the left is the navigation, on the right the content.i'm loading in the content with the load() method - some php generated html code which looks like this e.g.
so if i click on the toggle div.. nothing happens so i tried to put a <p id="toggle"> in the navigation bar which is static (not being load()-ed in via jQuery) and it worked so it seems to me, that jQuery can't get the click event out of the load()-ed page
I am currently using load() to display content upon clicking a line. I would like to add another load function to the same anchor's click event. I tried applying the click function to the sam a.class but it did not work.I have the load a.class within an accordion. here is my current jQuerry functions on the page
I'm loading a list of elements into mydiv with ajax, I want them to be selectable so I call the UI plugin selectable after the list has loaded.
The list building function produces this:
<div id='mydiv'> <ul id='mylist'> .... </ul>
[Code].....
The problem is, every time I click the link to reload the list via ajax, I get a duplicate selectable event handler created. Should I be removing the old event handlers before reloading the div ? if so, how?
Everything works, as in selectable still works, and only seems to fire once but I get ever growing memory usage in firefox and an ever growing list of event handlers in the firebug script tab. Eventually firefox starts to crawl and I have to restart the browser.
I'm trying to load dynamically some content and I'd like to fire a function when all the newly added content (including images, iframes and scripts in it) are loaded:
var htmlStr='html string including images, iframes and scripts'; $("#contents").html(htmlStr).load(function(){ alert("all images, scripts and iframes are fully loaded, you can continue"); })
According tohttp:[url]....(at least how I understand it) this should work: Theloadevent is sent to an element when it and all sub-elements have been completely loaded. This event can be sent to any element associated with a URL,images, scripts, frames, iframes, and the windowobject.Unfortunatelly my function is never called. For the meantime I found a workaround:
var html=$('html string including images, iframes and scripts'); var elements=html.find("img,script,iframe,frame"); var loadCounter = elemets.length;[code]....
On the very next line I am attempting to bind a submit event handler to the form:
$('#loginform').submit(function() { $.post('member.php', $(this).serialize(), function(data, status) { data = eval('(' + data + ')'); if (data.msg) {
[Code].....
The form is loading fine, but for some reason the submit() is not getting attached to the form. Therefore when I submit it is running member.php from the form "action". Ultimately, I want to be able to run member.php from $.post() so that I can tell member.php that JavaScript is enabled.
I'm trying to load some html content into a page via the ajax .load() method (wrapped within the $(document).ready() function).After I execute this, I'd like to bind all new span elements from the loaded content to a context menu plugin like this:
$("#selector").contextMenu({ menu: ''myMenu'' },
[code]....
Unfortunately since the span elements are coming from the ajax request,I don't think I can bind a normal event handler as per the plugin. [URL] how to use event bubbling in this situation.
I'm setting up a video gallery on a site. What I want to happen is that when the user clicks on a thumbnail it then opens and plays the corresponding video clip in shadowbox.
What shadowbox opens is a page which holds the video player object. What I need to happen is for the video reference to be passed to the page that shadowbox opens.
I don't know how to do this. I can get this working where the thumbnails are all on the same page as the video player object. The link on the thumbnail images is as follows:
What I was trying to set up was to get the page that shadowbox opens to automatically run the loadVideo javascript with the reference variable passed to it in the url.
I have a page that includes an iframe, i want to execute a script after the whole page is loaded and also after the iframe content is loaded too, which event i should use?
