JQuery :: JsVideo Swap Video Source On A Click Event?
Sep 28, 2011
I currently have several instances of a video player placed on the page by number of XML nodes. Each player has a source of one of 2 video codecs, dependent on browser as to which one will be read. The issue I am having is that on click of a thumb 1 video player and its corresponding sources is animated into view and plays. That is all fine, yet when selecting a different thumb the previous video continues to play unless I place the statement in green into my click function. This works until I add another node into my xml, and or place more video.pause without videos actually being in the xml (undefined, of coarse). I have been trying to find the syntax to replace the source with the corresponding thumb id (url, url2) and utilize only one player, but I have failed in my searches. Is it possible to swap the source upon clicking on the thumbs? $('video').player.pause(); is not recognized.
With the dreaded embedded video issue? I have code to embed video into my site using object for IE and embed for firefox. This works fine but now I also wish to dynamically change the source of the video depending on which link is clicked. I know how to acheive this but I believe that my source changing code for firefox is flawed
My code for IE which works great is :
But for firefox and opera (which also seems to like <embed> rather than <object>)
I am working on a module where I have 2 div tags which I wanted to swap on page refresh. i.e., when page loads it displays 1st div and upon refresh it loads 2nd div(and one more refresh wil load 1st and so on....). that works perfectly but the issue is I have an iframe inside both the divs which points to two different html files and its not swapping upon refresh. whatever iframe loads first remains there.
I thought its because of browser caching and the browser caches the iframe thats loaded 1st., so I tried adding meta tags on head like no-cache and expire=-1 but no luck.
I have a video gallery with a bigger div with width 500 pixels where the main video is waiting to be played and below is a smaller div with all the others videos from the gallery having width of 80 pixels.The list of video are managed by a content management system in PHP and are the result of youtube "Share Embed action" where the result is an iframe with the link for the video.How can i clicking on a video from the smaller div see the video being displayed in the bigger div ? already playing? or in a new layer above the website ?For now the video plays in the div it is located at.As an example here is the source video format :
I am creating a custom gallery that I require an image and text to swap on click of an anchored thumbnail. I have successfully managed to change the image on click however I can't seem to manage changing the text. Currently when a user clicks on the thumbnail both the image and text is swapped however when the user clicks on another anchored thumbnail (after clicking on the first) the image swaps correctly but the text does not change My Code
I would like to create a plugin that I can put before a click event on a button. The click event should occur if the user's time on the page hasn't expired. The plugin should check the user's time, and then stop the click event if the time has expired. With the plugin, I'm essentially putting two click events on the same button, as I need to check the expiration when the button is clicked. The plugin is working on my test page, but I'm afraid that this is contingent on an arbitrary ordering of the click events by jQuery. If I have my click event chained after my plugin, can I be assured that the plugin would always stop the click event if the time is expired? Or could jQuery execute the click event before the time gets checked?
I want this to work EXACTLY like Facebook, so that when you click in the "Write a comment..." input field and it makes your photo and COMMENT button appear. Viewing their source doesn't help me. Here are my divs
This is what I'm trying to do: I want a simple image container to swap the image inside it by clicking the nav buttons on the right like 1, 2, 3.Here's my code:
HTML Code HTML4Strict: <div id="item1"> <div class="img-container shadow" style="background-image:url(images/gallery/tcg1.jpg)">[code].....
My jQuery code is not right. I want it to turn off the "hover" class and the "show" class of the others when you click one. I think I need some kind of if..else? how to write it? I have a bg image set on the container div so there's an initial image to view.I also need multiple of these on the same page!
Hey im working on a website and id like to put a image swap in so that the image will change on a timed event. Id like to make it so that when i click it it will bring me to anew page which isnt hard i just cant figure out the image swap.
How can I give a click on a link when it is just created and added to DOM?
None of this works: function openProfilePage(profile){ $('#profile-link').remove(); var link = $('<a/>').attr({'href':'profile.php?user='+profile, 'target':'_blank', 'id':'profile-link'}).css({'top':'-200px','left':'-300px', 'position':'absolute'}).html(profile);
I have an object that has a click event I'm trying to trigger. However in the click event I have the following if statement:
if(event.button != 0){return true;}
This if statement allows right clicks to go through and activate but it also prevents me from triggering the event. Any ideas on how to prevent this? If I remove the if statement from the first click function everything works as intended.Here's my example code based off of the trigger event examples:
I have these "editable" divs in my document. When you click them, a text box comes up and you type something and push enter. It changes what's in the div.There is also a blur event associated with the text box. When the user tabs or clicks away, it fires the blur event. Here lies the problem.I have other elements on the page that are clickable. I don't want those clickable things to fire their events if the user is clicking away from the text box, ie. the blur event. This isn't a problem is the user pushes tab, for instance.
I'm using DreamWeaver CS3's image rollover code, but I'm trying to edit the code so that when you click the image, the hover state stays selected.
Then, when you hover anc click another image, the first image reverts back to it's original state. I've scoured the Internet, but can't find anything that works.
Here's the current javascript code:
Code: <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0 var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new Array();
I need to play sounds with javascript. When the user clicks the button it will run the function and play a sound either from the source or embedded into the website (which ever way works).
How would i add an avent listener to change the source of an image? I have added the image to a canvas element through javascript using the code below.
var start = new Image(); start.src = "start.jpg"; ctx.drawImage(start, 50, 50);
I got some code that loads divs from other web pages into a particular div in my main page. In other words, I click on a button, and this tells jquery to load afragment of a particular page into my main page. For instance if I have 5 web pages onrock stars, I could have 5 buttons, and each button could load one rockstar's biography into a div on the main page (and replace whatever was there before). This works, and I do see the content that it loaded. But when I do 'view source' in IE, I do not see that content (the bio of the rock star). Another clue that this content is not really there, is when I try and run some code on that content. The content (from those external pages) have divs with specific names, and I try and make them into collapsible panels by running the following short function:
i need an event based calender using open source how can i create is there any free open source event based calender is there user need to boook and block his dates and edit and book the dates for his requirements
i don't know so much about jquery so just i use them with indication from their web site. so my problem is how can i use multiple source of jquery without one source stop the other,and that what i need:
I then loop thru the array to assign the text and bind the click event after having created the buttons with IDs of "button_<index>".
for( var index in buttons ) { $("#button_"+index).html ( buttons[index].text ) .click( function() { clickButton( buttons[index].action ) } ); }
The text appears correctly in the button, but every button defined only fires the list bound click, in this example the action equal to'2'whether I push "Button 1" or "Button 2".My actual case has four buttons, all firing the event for the fourth button.I've tried not chaining the .click(), going thru the loop twice once for the .html and once for the .click, neither of which made a difference. If I hard code each button .click, it works fine.
I am currently writing a CMS and I need a few minor variable values from the YouTube Api. I wish to embed a YouTube video into a page and then extract key information about that video such as:
1. The Title 2. The duration 3. The number of hits
