Oct 19, 2011I'm making a form with some fields. Once the form is submitted it updates the page with a new div containing the data entered without refreshing. Im using jquery form plugin. What I'd like to achieve is the new div(.record) to .slideDown. I guess I need to somehow specify the exact div by giving it an id or number. I'm not sure and why im here.
At the moment when i submit all of the divs(.record) are hidden with .hide, then they all slide down with .slide. Best i can understand is to hide the last div then slide down. But again.. I don't know how to specify to only slide down the last div added and not the current .record divs on the page.

Page Slide Effect With Stationary Menu?
Oct 18, 2011I was wondering if jQuery or mootools has a set of scripts that creates a page slide effect with a stationary menu? What I mean is instead of loading a page when you click a link, all pages of the website are loaded at first, and then when a link is clicked, the corresponding page slides onto the screen. The navigation menu remains unchanged (except for dropdown menus) throughout everything. This is a perfect example of what I'm looking for: [URL] I tried to search for this but didn't come up with too many great results, and I searched the jQuery documentation and wasn't able to find a slider feature.

Oct 27, 2009I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.

Each div has an image that is on "display:none". When you go "hover" a div, his relative image fadeIn and stay there.
I've done that but the problem is that if you hover the div before it ends the "fadeIn" effect, his relative image will start to show up to. I want that the user can start the fadeIn effect of the image, only after the div has ended his effect.

Image Paths Inside - Insert A Slide Show Into A Page
Nov 20, 2009Although I have done a fair bit of html coding after taking several HTML courses, I have never become involved in JavaScript beyond adding the occasional pre-made script for a particular function.
Which is what I am trying to do at the moment. I want to insert a slide show into a page and have tried 2 scripts from Java Kit Scripts. Both are similar and I am having the same problem with both.
The problem: Inserting the image path. They both ask for the image path (naturally) and give the following examples:

But there is no reference to an "image" folder. I have tried inserting the folder name: "images/iss-bunker-1tn.jpg",
I have also tried leaving the word "images" out and also tried saving the related images in the same folder as the html coded pages. I have also tried using "shtml" pages. But nothing seems to work.
JQuery :: Step Carousel (Removing Fast Forward/Rewind Effect When Clicking Back On The First/Last Slide)?
Aug 10, 2011i'm New to JQuery and I recently had a problem with encorporating a transition at the beginning and end of my carousel. I found that by default it would Fast Forward/Fast Rewind through all the images at the ends, rather than just jump to the slide and wrap.
I've managed to solve the issue (bar a transition effect from the last slide back to the first) it now jumps to slide one, rather than rewinding through all the images. However (and i know this sounds silly) but i'm having trouble doing the reverse. I'll add both the zip file to show a working model if interested and also post the 2 relevant functions :)

Imitating Simultaneous Slide Effect?
May 23, 2010in a non-Flash enviroment; while waiting for images and style information, I've been working on a prototype to get the behavior down. So far this is what I've come up with.

I'm using the JQuery UI "Slide" plugin to try to get the image of a particular div to slide in from the left and the content to slide in from the right. However, at the moment I'm getting a weird jump effect (at least in Firefox and Chrome; I have not yet tested in IE) that I *think* has to do with the float on the left-hand image but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how I might get rid of this, or if there's a better/more efficient way to achieve this effect?(For the record, it *is* the same image for all four divs at the moment; I was just working on the behavior so I didn't spend a lot of time on it; it's a placeholder.)

JQuery :: Fade In Image On Page Load
Aug 12, 2010I have a query. What is the best way to fade in an image on a page load so that the image is visible if javascript is not supported and does not jump around all over the place if it is supported. What I have found is that I can make it work using either document ready or on window onload however the images all load first and the page goes all crazy for a few seconds before the script actually does what it is supposed to. What I do not want to do is hard code the css display as none for the image as a property as either an element style or in the css file. The reason being that if the script does not run... the image will never load.

I don't want any fancy animations or anything like that, I just need to display an image and a related description/price into a new div, preferably without reloading. I have quite a few different lists of links and they change all the time so using an array to define the image/text is impractical for my needs.

We would like to use the technology behind that (presumably JavaScript) to show and hide an intro flash on a home page. We would like to have a "close" link on the flash also.
I have searched Google and here but haven't found any good resources and many of the sites I have seen using the technology are no longer using them. I just need a little assistance on the JavaScript part of the puzzle.

Jun 28, 2010I have built a website using a)MySQL b)HTML c)PHP and d)Javascript. My website consists of basic html pages/templates which have links to the left and point to another templates/pages. For example, i have 4 templates in my site
1st template is for: News
2nd : Library
3nd : Articles
4th : E-shop
Each template consists of 1. a small menu with links,every link points to another page 2.space for the content/text of the html page 3. a form for searching in the website using php and a mysql database. Well, i'm thinking of adding some animation in my website using the jquery library.Let's say we have an accordion which has 4 choices and when the user clicks on the first choice the 1st template(NEWS) appears inside the slide of accordion,loads in the same slide, not in a new page!!!This is what i would like to do, place in each slide of the accordion one of my templates. CAn this be done? Which are the disadvantages of adding in each slide of the accordion a different template for my site and remain in the same slide when the user clicks in one of the links of the template? Consider that i'm using dynamic content and not static, i have a MySQL database behind.
Also,as i have seen in most examples the options of accordion usually contain an image, a content, a text or links which open in a new window or tab not inside the slide!!!These links do not load in the same slide!!i would like to have a template which loads in the slide each time the user clicks on a link of it.
