1) how can I display the zoomed area on load without mousing over the main image?
2) is there anyway to control the zoom in/out, or does it have to stay at the current level?
I have used draggable, and yes, the image can be moved by the user inside the div.when using the containtment:'parent' the image can not get out of the parent div,BUT I need some more functionality than that:In my app the image can be zoomed out / in When zooming out the image can grow more than the parent container then I need:
1. the image can keep growing with out affecting the dimensions of the container
2. the draggable function should still be usable so the user can see the rest of the image by dragging it.
Basically it's the same function that we use when we zoom in in photoshop and then we can move the image to see those areas that get out of the visible scope.
I cannot get the first photo of the first Accordion container to display in the enlargement area. What I get are FOUR of the same enlarged images (not even the correct image) vertically displayed down the page. The rest seems to be working OK.

I want a new image to show when the user mouses over each link. I prefer a jquery plugin. Does anyone have recommendations for me? I'm a newb when it comes to Javascript so the easier the better

So I am working on a project to take an integer that the user gives, and then get all the squares and cubes of all the numbers before that to the number given. It displays it in a text area. Maybe I am just lost for the moment, but It just prints the number that I give with the square root and cube instead of starting from 1, and ended on the integer I give.

I am building an all AJAX site for a Facebook iFrame page and am having an issue. All the pages and what not load up dynamically just fine, but some pages use the Facebook commet system. After the AJAX has loaded the page though, the JavaScript inside does not load.
This is the Facebook comment script that I need to load inside the ajax'd content.

I have a page with links that use jQuery to load individual pages of content into a main content area. On one of these pages, I want to be able to link to a specific anchor. (ie, when you click the link named "exec" on the main page, it loads the "services" page and then scrolls to the "exec" div.

Everything works beautifully in FF and Opera but in IE, I get an error message saying "top is null or not an object". It's referencing the line where "target_offset.top" is called, but this is legitimate syntax, so I don't understand the problem.
We're using jQuery ajax quite a bit without issue. Today, however, we ran into an issue where the results of a query are not displayed.fyi... the following works fine in firefox. scenario:
1. load ajax "$("#location").load( url... )" used to retrieve results
2. using fiddler, we can see the results are returned as expected
3. results not displayed. look at the updated dom in IE8 with dev tools and the results are not put into the display area Additional info...
a. using $("#location").load( url, function(data) { alert(data); }); the alert shows the results are returned via the function call as well.
b. the #location is an empty div.. e.g. <div id="location"></div>
c. if we put some text in the div, it will be removed, by the call, but the results still will not display
d. we have removed all .show(), .hide() options
e. if we remove the ajax call and just do a $("#location").text("blah blah blah..."); the results are displayed
f. we have tried both 1.3.2 and 1.4.a1 again, every variation works just fine in firefox.t

Clearing the cache, clearing cookies, etc, does not allow the problem to be reproduced a second time.On first page load, the slideshow briefly flashes what look like 'broken image' icons, before loading images properly. The images then start to cycle, but with a small square appearing at top left corner, and the transition from slide to slide apparently being erratic, and going to blank slides.[code]

First off the recursion doesn't appear to be working as it only ever calls the addThumb function once and it should be called it more often as it never gets to the point of popping up the alert box "Loading". addThumbNails in this case is being called first which then calls addThumb. I have tried a preloading function for images with the same issues. The result of the current code can be seen here.
