I have a form setup so that selecting a radio button opens a specific text field. The problem is if the user starts to enter information, then switches to a different radio button (perhaps they chose the wrong radio to start), the text they already started to enter on the previous textfield doesn't get cleared. This will be a problem later when inserting to sql.
I am very inexperienced with javasciprt. I am designing a form in coldfusion, and want some dynamic action to take place. My users will be offered 2 selections via radio buttons. Depending on which radio button they select, they will get a few more radio buttons to choose from. I have been told that this can be handled in javascript. So I am appealing to the javascript programmer nation for some assistance in this endeavor.
On click Vertical radio button it will load into the text area the code of a vertical table. If user select the radio on horizontal it will load another html code to put the table on horizontal display.
I am looking for someone who has used jQuery in the capacity of assigning a value to a text area when the user clicks a radio button. Here is the example code I have worked on so far that does not work.
I'm trying to use JavaScript to make a story out of randomly selected words from 4 arrays and then insert it into a textarea. It isn't working, can someone please tell me how to fix it.... there's an error somewhere I can't find.
So I am working on a project to take an integer that the user gives, and then get all the squares and cubes of all the numbers before that to the number given. It displays it in a text area. Maybe I am just lost for the moment, but It just prints the number that I give with the square root and cube instead of starting from 1, and ended on the integer I give.
There is a Text Area that user can enter text. assume that user enter something and put a dot Following values should be populate in a drop down at the place where dot locate .
like when we get the string object using Net Beans IDE and when we put "Object." , drop down will be displayed with available methods for that particular object. idea is to build a editor using java script.
I am building an online store where the customer can select custom parts. I'm quite new to javascript, but I've managed to create a radio button list, where the price is added from each section. I would like a box to show all of the options selected, not just the sum total.
I've included the text with value and used parseInt. I have been told I can use value.split(" "), but I don't really know how to go about doing that. I've been fiddling for hours now and don't seem to be able to get anywhere.
I would also like to include a 3rd value, another number, and add that one in a separate calculation.
E.g. For "50 5850ati1gb 56" I would like one calculation which adds 50 to the total, another calculation adding 56 to a different total and 5850ati1gb added to a list of all of the components.

I am not very experienced with this, so don't be afraid to talk to me like I'm stupid
The following code will output numerical values only for the . I need it to display text with multiple characters. For example: I own two exceptional chickens...I own four or more chickens...etc. Again the code works perfectly but only for numbers.
Code: One Two Three Four I own blank chickens.
1. When I have the "" code lines in it put a text-area on the page, but it puts all of the code following that first text-area line into the text-area box and doesn't execute that segment of code.
2. When there is no "" (for the sake of seeing if the rest of it worked) it doesn't check the survey.
I'm stumped and can't figure out what to do at this point Code and pictures follow:
I see in a book how to use javascript functions from radio buttons to display text into a form textbox, but what I want to do is instead of display text into a textbox, to display images positioned by CSS. My code is below. All I get is the initial display of radio buttons, the chosen one chosen, and that's it. No display of images. I tried even just using text and no. Here's my code:
I am a PHP programmer and new to Javascript and jQuery and I have tried about 20 examples/tutorials and cannot seem to get even close to what I want.I have a form (PHP/MySQL) with a list of subjects I got from my database, and then create a set of radio buttons from that list. And based on what radio button they select, I need to pass that variable to a div (at least that's what I want to use) and then show a list of videos that match the radio buttons value. I don't care if its a get or post or other.I tried to use GET or POST so I can use that value for my PHP/MySQL lists.I am open to any suggestions/tutorials, etc.
