JQuery :: Datepicker Doesn't Load When Click On Generated Fields
Mar 28, 2011
I'm writing a page where I'd like to generate a bunch of fields using javascript and then make them usable by datepicker. The problem I'm running into is that when I first click on one of the javascript generated fields, datepicker doesn't load. However, if I click on a second instance of that same field name, then datepicker will load properly. My guess is that I'm just defining the function incorrectly for these events.
I'm trying to implement the datepicker and I have two fields on my form:Birthdate& Lived here since? In my header I have:
[Code]...
When I click on the 1st date field (birthday) it mostly works... I say mostly because it doesn't appear to be pulling in that css as the widget is pretty spread out and has no borders etc. When I click on the 2nd date field (here since?), absolutely nothing happens. Surely this supports multiple date fields on the same form so what am I doing wrong?
Once you in, click on the button with the sign 'Click To Start Shopping' The problem is, the Flash doesn't load I bought this flash template and i was supposed to edit the FLA file for the serverpath. I guess i didn't put the server path correctly. Below is the code in the .FLS file
[Code]...
Below is the instruction from the documentation: 3. Once you have everything correctly running on local, then OPEN THE FLA, go to first frame, layer codes, open “action” panel and set there the final pàth on your server where all the files will be located (create a folder especifically for this): [URL]
i have a basic 2 column page, on the left is the navigation, on the right the content.i'm loading in the content with the load() method - some php generated html code which looks like this e.g.
so if i click on the toggle div.. nothing happens so i tried to put a <p id="toggle"> in the navigation bar which is static (not being load()-ed in via jQuery) and it worked so it seems to me, that jQuery can't get the click event out of the load()-ed page
I am new to jquery but i have figured out how to link datepicker to a dynamically generated tablethis funtion works but only posts the date to my ajax call (Array ( [date] => 04/01/2009 ) for example)I need for it to post the id of the original input which i than can derive the actual id of the mysql file so i can update the correct date ( for example id = "picker_2343", the attached number would actually be the file id )so how can i include in $_POST the original input id or class id ??, $_GET could work also....
There can be any number of 'groups' but I would want to apply some validation for each item in a group. I can only see that the validation is done by specifying a id? however as the id's are going to be dynamically created how can I do this? can you validate for a css class?
I'm having some trouble with my dynamically generated form fields.
As you can see I'm generating new form fields, but the problem lies within the grade field. I have it set up now so that when you change the grade the color of the <select> box changes relative to the grade. A-D are green, F is black with white text, Not Taken is just regular white with black text and In Progress is lightly shaded grey.
I want it so that each one can be changed individually, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to do that. Heck if you change the first one's grade field, that colour follows the rest of the clones.
This is the jQuery I'm using to change the color of the thing.
I have the date picker working grand on an input field, what I need to do is submit the value to two different input fields in two different formats, so a textbox and a hidden field, the textbox has the long format which is what I'm currently using bu tI need the hidden field to have the value like '2011-02-01'.
I am trying to use DatePicker ui. I have uploaded "js" and "css" files in the same directory where my script resides. I also downloaded "jquery" in jquery.js file in the same directory. When I run the script, the field is displayed but the DatePicker widget doesn't show up.
For some reason, if I use the Datepicker within Dialog (both part of jQuery UI), the Datepicker doesn't work. If I use a TextBox (asp.net control, equivalent to type input=text) outside of the Dialog, the Datepicker works just fine.
I created a dialog which has 3 text fields. I added a datepicker to one of them. On submit I'm trying to post the data in the fields to a web service. The first time you fire up the dialog, I'm running into two problems. One, the values I'm getting from the fields are all emtpy. Two, the datepicker doesn't actually populate the field it's attached to. The 2nd time, they all work fine. This is part of the $(document).ready handler:
I've used jQuery's datepicker in the past to choose start/stop dates for a single record. Now I'd like to create a page where I can use the datepicker to choose start/stop dates for multiple records. You can see a stripped down version of my code at [URL]. I have start/stop dates for three records and would like to use the datepicker to let the user change the default date. I currently have an icon next to the start times and if you click on it it pops up a datepicker element for the top record where you can select a date and it'll be posted.
My problem is that I'm not sure how to generalize the code to let it work correctly for the 2nd and 3rd records. I'd like to keep just one function to handle the hide/show so that I can later let the user add additional records to the list and also let it be intelligent enough to handle it. I don't have much experience with the proper way to create name/id selections that javascript will then know which fields it needs to edit. A minor problem that I noticed is that the calendar seems to push the time over to the right even though the row it is in should span two columns. What am I doing incorrectly that is causing this?
I want to use the datepicker for multiple fields in a form however I don't know how to have it re-use the settings for multiple fields. For example, I have a form with 4 different fields for dates. I want to use the same datepicker formatting for each field. So instead of having to do something like this
i have to txt <inputs> on a php web page, which use the jquery datepicker. however when i do an ajax refresh of one of the spans on the page, the datepicker wont pop up any more unless i do a reload of the whole page?
This is frustrating! I'm using the stock jQuery UI Datepicker; it will open on click, but not on focus. What's strange is, if I tab through the entire page and come around to the target field again, it
<em>does</em> open! Here's my HTML: Code HTML4Strict: <ul> <li class="black bold"> <label for="datepickX" class="labelDatefield">Select activation date for [ProductX]:</label> [Code]...
I wanna know how can I automatically change the second input field to get a end date after I selected the first field and get a start date. I need keep the second input field' value same change as the first one. Like the calendar application from [URL] or tripadvisor.
I'm using thisjQuery validationEnginebut I'm having a problem validating input fields which are transformed usingJonathan Leighton's datepicker. I need to validate that two dates are the same, so i have a custom callback (validateDOB) to check this. When I run this callback in the firebug console it correctly tests the values against each other, but the callback isn't triggered with the validation engine. I am not sure if i am missing something obvious here. This is the order I load my js files, then my instantiation calls and the callback (see below).
i'm from germany and i'm new to jQuery so i hope i can explain my problem in a right way...
I'm reading some data from a xml file with ajax and i'm creating a list of this data pieces. Now i want to do something whenever you click on an item of that list.I think i'll just show you some of my code:
[Code]...
At first i create a list with id="liste" and add list items from the xml file to it. Then i want the script to call function getInfos() when you click on an item. But it does not work like this.
When the user enter a value into the quantity input field it calculates the first amount another entry to the same field would calculate the second amount instead of the second input fields entry. The other input fields behave the same as the first one. How do I match the input fields to quantity? Here is the code.
<code> <?php include_once ("db.php"); //include_once("common.php"); ?> <!-- To change this template, choose Tools | Templates and open the template in the editor. [Code]...
So, I have a form that, when the user clicks on a link, uses J/S to generate extra form fields for extra information. I can retrieve the value of the dynamically generated fields using $_POST in I.E., but it doesn't work in Firefox (no value is returned). Retrieving values for the static fields is fine in both I.E. and Firefox.
Here's the code - is there a function I'm using that could be replaced with something more friendly to Firefox?:
<script type='text/javascript'> var i = 1; function addArea() { var newArea = addElement();
I'm making an ajax call to my server and then, with the information I get back, ynamically creating HTML with jQuery, then appending it to my desired div. This part works excellently. The issue I'm having trouble with is I'm only returning five records, so I'm creating a span at the bottom labeled "see all", but even if I give that span a class,it's clearly not registering in the DOM because when I click it, my jQuery code doesn't even know it's there. My question: How do I get those dynamically generated elements to register in my DOM so they can be called by a jQuery click event?I realize that I can just do an inline javascript call to my function and that works fine(ish). The problem is, however, I want specific information about the particular span that I click, and if I call it inline, it doesn't send $(this) to my function... it recognizes $(this) as $(window), not as $(span that I clicked)
I am working on an MLA citation PHP script for books, and I already finished that part. I have the page set up so that the user may add as many authors as needed. However, when I use the back button, I notice that if I have more than one author, the dynamic text fields are gone and all data after the dynamic text fields are not loaded back into the proper fields.I've spent the entire day searching for solutions, and I tried saving the code to a textarea, then using that code to insert it back into the page on loading. However, I couldn't get it to work.[code]
I've a strange problem [for me]I want to make that:1 - click on the red, it goes up2 - second click on the red, it comes backbut it doesn't work if I used 4 times #red, but If I change it it's perfect.Where I made a mistake?
I have an input text in which i use datepicker. When i select a date from the datepicker it doesn't work, but when i type the date manually data are loaded correctly.
