Working on some jquery examples which use the same div id name multi times in a document. I notice only the first div id with the same name animate and the others don't. I would like all of the header id names to animate not one.

However, if I add opacity, it fades from 100% to the number that I specify. If I use fadein as:

If I do that, it fades in and then moves left.How do I do both at the same time?
I wonder if its possible to animate an Object while at the same time fading it in. At this moment I am able to do it after each other but not at the same time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using ajax to grab a response from a PHP page, on success, the ajax sets a variable. After the line that calls the ajax function is the line the returns the variable (a global variable). Problem is, because the variable is returned right after the ajax function is fired, it doesn't give the ajax enough time to set the variable. The work around I've thought about would be using the ajax function as a variable, and returning that variable in the initial return line.

my javascript code is only validating one field at a time (as in it validates on field then submits the form, instead of going through the entire thing and then returning it as true and submitting it...) I'm not sure what to do to be honest, I've looked up google to no real avail.. my variables are declared in a seperate file to the actual even handlers and I have heaps of comments through out it, so please don't judge lol i'm still learning Quote:

I have a toggle animation which puts the area I want to show to the user in view, ones that animation has played I want to animate several other objects on the page. I use the wonderful .animate() method to create a "parallax website". It's still in developpement, but you can see the result : www.ohnewgarden.fr My problem : When you are at the very right, the animate effect reset my left property before animating. Which is weird is that this "reset" is applied only to two layers, without any sense. I'm going crazy !
So if someone could help me, it will be very nice ! It's probably my code which is wrong, but I can't see the mistake.

I said for my defense, I have tried to remove .stop(), tried to change parameters of .stop(), tried to reset (like there) the left property with a .css() method, and I have also tried to animate with "+=" (like there), but nothing works. If you follow to the link I gave, you could see very easily by clicking on "Contact" and after animation by clicking on "Accueil".
I have a div that has a negative top margin and a negative right margin. The right margin is because I want to have the div slide onto the page from the right. The top margin is because without it my page height is the height of the visible elements plus the height of the off-screen div.On a button click, I move the div down and then animate it onto the screen from the right. On button click again, I animate the div to the right, off the screen, and then move it up. I also toggle its width & padding so it will appear to grow/shrink as it moves on/off screen. At least that's what I am trying to do. The animation onto the screen looks good, but going off the screen, it appears to happen intantaneously, instead of animatedDoes anyone know how I can fix this?

The problem that i have is titme to time the script uses with that ajax query doesn't work especially when i stay long time in a page.

I have a multi select in a form and underneath this corresponding check boxes which are initally hidden.
What I wish to do is when the user selects or deselects an item in the multi select the corresponding check box is toggled to either show or hide.

I have a search form that uses AJAX to fetch data and populate a table. Several of the search fields are multiple selects. Problem is, only the first option is getting passed thru to the PHP file called by the AJAX function.

For debugging purposes, the target PHP file ("fetch_data.php") dumps the $_POST and $_GET variables to a file. As mentioned, only the first option from the multi-selects is getting passed thru in the $_POST variable ($_GET is empty as expected). The alert (line 4) will correctly display a comma-delimited list of all the selected values (also verified via Firebug while stepping thru the code). Someone in another thread suggested using serialize() (e.g. line 9 becomes "fs_allFields.serialize()", but that caused NOTHING to get passed thru.
Maybe I've been staring at it too long and there's a simple fix is right in front of me, but I just can't see it.
P.S. I'm using the latest versions of jQuery and jQuery-UI.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to jQuery and wrote a tool for my job that uses the accordion and tab plugins a lot.
However, I find the ability to only load one draw at a time to be limiting.
I am looking for a plugin that functions exactly like the accordion and processes the HTML in the exact same way, while using the standard UI css that allows for more than one draw to be open at any time. I still want the first draw to be loaded first, and would like a 2nd click on a draw header to collapse the draw.
Anyone care to either assist or help out? I have dabbled, but everything I have tried so far requires css be added to the base html which I do not want.
I want this:
To be handled just like the accordion would handle it, while allowing more than one draw to be open at once.
