How can I do that?
I'm trying to develop a module for an aplication and i'm basing on an example from the jquery ui dialog [URL] But i'm using radio buttons and a datepicker field but problems occur when i try to add a second row to the table. It just adds the date value but the "motivo" value don't. I mean everything works fine at the first attempt but at the next it fails.
Here is part of my code:
$(function() {
var fecha = $("#datepicker"),
motivo = $("[name=motivo]"),
allFields = $([]).add(fecha).add(motivo),

I have a drop down menu that is populated by the following javascript:
Code:
// Place holder
var AS_Airport = [code]....
The drop down category is Heathrow Airport. When that is selected another drop loads the shortcuts (Terminal 1, Terminal 3 etc).what i would like to do is add another selection with another set of shortcuts to the above but am unsure how to do it.for example i have tried the following without success:
Code:
// Place holder
var AS_Airport =
{[code]....
when i use the code above to try and add another group and set of values it doesn't add any of the groups. if someone could please let me know the correct way to add a group to the above i think it will work fine.
I'm struggling with Javascript and the DOM. Can anyone help me with
the appropriate script to get the SVG <g> element and loop through the
<text> elements, changing the value of each "y" attribute as I go.
The relevant fragment is shown below.
<g id="yaxisGroup" transform="translate(0,0.00) scale(1,1.00)">
<text x="0.00" y="24.00" font-size="18">Dog</text>
<text x="0.00" y="54.00" font-size="18">Cat</text>
<text x="0.00" y="84.00" font-size="18">Horse</text>
<text x="0.00" y="114.00" font-size="18">Bird</text>
</g>
I'm building a custom component in Joomla. All the Jquery up till now is working just fine.
I'm not sure if I'm using the wrong keywords or what, but I'm not having much success finding a way to make the following happen:
I have a form that asks for a bunch of information. First it's name, etc... Then it asks for vehicle information: The code for that is this:
<table class="rsmformtable contentpaneopen">
<tr>
<td colspan="2">
<div class="rsmformtablediv">
[Code].....
So, what I want to happen is that there is an add vehicle link or button so that when someone hits it, it allows them to add in another vehicle. Of course it should also add some index to the id's of all the inputs as I will use the post data to add the vehicles to a database.
Now at first I thought I had found a solution, that works a little bit. But then when the PHP comes into effect things break.
Also, this is an aside: the truck vin row is controlled by jquery now. If the plan type selected is for a truck, it will show that row, if it's not then that row is hidden. I'm pretty sure I'll need to build a loop in the Jquery script that will allow that hide and show feature to work based on the index added to the truck row.
in my searching, the only thing I've really been able to find is that I might have to use AJAX, but that's not something I familiar with just yet.
I'm a relative novice at java script. I've been working on a google map that can be found at: [URL](way too much code to post here). Each of the makers on the map has s particular set of information that pops up in a window when it is clicked, including a hyperlink called "join this group." Right now clicking on that link merely takes the user to the form at the bottom of the page.
What I would like the link to do is to both take the user to form at the bottom of the page and automatically select from the drop down menu the group associated with that particular "join this group" link. For example, if a user selected the marker representing the Neighborhood, Beverly group and then hit the join this group link, the drop down menu would automatically select the Neighborhood, Beverly (Pless) for them. I suspect this involves using java script to pass a value. I just have had no luck getting it to work.
I have a radio group that, when a certain option is selected, it makes the radio group disappear and a textbox appear. It works great in Firefox, but it appears to be glitchy in IE.

function showRestaurantTextBox()

How can I retrieve the content of <legend>content</legend> in the CURRENT <fieldset style="display:block;"> ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the following scenario(well the structure is the same):
<fieldset id="fs"><p><select id="sl" runat="server" /></p></fieldset>
The name of the fieldset is constant but the name of the select is generated via asp.net thus i do not know the final id on that element. I can call on the select by using $("[id$='sl']").change() which works. But its a bad solution because I need to be sure that I only trigger the element under the fieldset "fs".
$("#fs").children().change()
Works as well but i obviously I am looking for a way to target only that select element under only that fieldset.
Code JavaScript:
$('input[id^="system"]').change(function() {
var id = $(this).attr('id');
var parents = $('#' + id)
.parents()
.map(function () {
[Code]...
At the moment the the third parent of the input is a fieldset, which is fine, but I would like the script to explicitly get the fieldset element, rather than just land on it as the third parent.
By using this tutorial Stylish Collapsible Fieldset using CSS3 and JQuery, I have created asp.net web form with collapsible fieldsets. When this web page/form loads all the fieldsets at that time they are collapsed/closed but when user clicks on any legend the fieldset becomes expand/open.
Now I want to add another feature that when user finishes entering data in the controls of first fieldset and he/she wants to move to the very next fieldset. Then he/she (currently in the last control (that may be a textbox or a dropdown list) of the previous fieldset) can open/expand ***only*** the very next fieldset by just hitting/pressing tab from the keyboard.

I have a disabled submit button sitting in the fieldset of a form. What I'd like to do is attach a click event to this button, but from what I understand this can't be done since you can't attach events to disabled elements.
Is it possible to attach it to the fieldset? I'm not completely familiar with event bubbling but maybe it's possible to capture the element clicked?
I have a form that gets values that a user has selected from a list menu field, that end up like this added to the URL:[url]
Instead of the Field being mentioned more than once, how can I have it where it could mention the field once with the values coma separated eg:[url]
Would I use JS to change the URL? or VBscript?
I'm handling a form submission event. Is there a way to modifiy the value of a text input within the form before the form is finally submitted? I tried setting the value using, 'val()' - it updated the text field but the value sent with the POST was the original value
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have a form that lets me choose one of three templates to submit with. Each template is inside a <fieldset> tag. What I'd like to do is call disable ('fieldsetID') and have it disable the fieldset and all form fields inside it... I _thought_ disabling the fieldset would do that for me, but apparently not. Code:
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a script that duplicates a fieldset and an onBlur event that updates a sub total when you enter a value into 3 fields in the set but I am having one glitch
Here is the trouble: The duplication of the fieldset works great.
I have another script which is creating a sum ("sum") of the fields named "unitPrice" in the original fieldset. When I duplicate the fieldset that has the new "unitPrice" fields they do not get calculated into that sum. I am sure the "unitPrice" fields are being renamed in the new fieldset but what name would I use and how do I write it into the calculation so that the sub total ("sum") is updated with all of the "unitPrice" fields?

I need to hide a filedset depending upon the checkbox selection. I have attached code for this.the fieldset contains some non null and isNaN validation.those should be disabled too.

I have a fieldset with a bunch of input's inside.
I am wanting to put all of these elements inside the fieldset into an array.
Then once I have that array use a for loop to iterate through each of the elements values and display them with alert.
This is what I have tried, but am expecting to be a fair bit off the mark.

Can this be done? Particularly with jQuery?
I want to keep a fieldset hidden with Javascript and slide it open when a user checks a box to indicate that this fieldset is relevant to them. I'm fairly sure that I have seen this done in some forms.
I have begun to look through the docs, tutorials and some of the plugins listed under "forms", but I am not 100% sure exactly what to look for or exactly how I would use it if I found it.
I have 4 text boxes that are supposed to load 4 seperate values of data from one field in one table from a database. The field is called interface_cropsettings (from the interface table) and these values have been concatenated and comma seperated in this field.
Code:
Once the form is filled out and saved, the data is inserted into the database and the values from these 4 text boxes are concatenated, comma seperated and inserted into that one field correctly.
(Example)
If the 4 text boxes have the following values:
In the database field they become:
However, if the form is closed and then re-opened, each text box displays the entire database field rather then each value seperated in the corresponding text box.
(Example)
All 4 text boxes display this:
I already know why the data appears like this in the form, my problem is that I'm not sure how to write the javascript to seperate the values into the correct corresponding fields, assuming javascript is what I should be using!
Also, this is kind of irrelevant but just in case you're wondering, this form is part of a cold fusion application!

In jquery how can I grab values from a forms input checkboxes? I written the code and I think I didn't properly request the object and also does the input need to have a id or a class? I have no id nor classes with these inputs just names.

How can i pass values of a form to jquery pop up by clicking submit button?
(I want to see the values on the pop upbefore finally inserting into database.)
