JQuery :: Mobile Select Box Dynamic Data Population?

I am using JQuery Mobile . I have populated Select box with dynamic data, The UI shows just one item populated, rest does not get rendered , here's code. The option loop iterates 5 times but the select box just show one item when renderd. Is it Jquery mobile the select box cannot be populated dynamically?

I am trying to populate a drop down list in an HTML form that pulls it's data from a datbase. Basically, the users can manage the values via a differnt interface, but the web page will present what ever values are in a given list. I can make the list from the database as a set of value pairs, but I can't figure out how to take that list and "import it" into an HTML page. I didn't post any code since nothing comes close to working. If I have this list:

For my Dreamweaver program I want to update to the latest version so I can build within it, but I'm confused as to what are the latest versions of jquery.mobile-min.js and jquery.mobile-min.css. The site has 1.0 as the latest stable build. But Dreamweaver's third-party folder (the place that houses jQuery mobile scripts) has 1.0a3 for the css and 1.5 for the mobile.min file. I was told by Adobe that they do not update jQuery scripts when updating their program. I think that's a mistake, myself. Whether it is or not, it sure would be useful now.
The very simple code (below) works fine in Safari (and Chrome, Firefox etc.), but it doesn't work in Mobile Safari. Why?(You can find a working example at: http:[url]....)

I've been beating my head against a wall for a few days trying to get this working. I'm trying to create a dynamic menu where a user selects one item and another select list is shown, then another and another (and so on). Here is my JS, it *should* be taking the ID of the div, comparing it to the selected value and then showing another div by settings it's class property to visible:
I am creating a dialog using jQuery, and want to populate it with dynamic data. The data in question is properly formatted XML (parsed using jQuery). The call I make looks something like this:

If I preview the xml_results_formatted_jquery.php file, I see the data so I know the webservice is being queried correctly. However, when I call my function above, the dialog box created has no text in it (apart from the text already present in the dialogcontent DIV). The bit that shows the results of the XML parse is empty.
I am using the cluetip plugin to show a formatted version of text thatthe user types into a text area. So I have a <textareaid="description">, and as the user types, they can at any time click a"preview" button will call cluetip to display the popup. Here is mycurrent cluetip call:
I thought this would have been fairly simple but it appears the onchange event isn't triggered when a hidden field is populated by other javascript without user input.
I have a simple search box and autocomplete/suggestion ajax thingie going on.
What I want to do is have my "Go" submit button disbled until AFTER a user has populated the hidden field "cid". A user populates this field automatically when they click on a suggested option from the ajax autocomplete doofer.

I'm building on-the-fly <select> lists from JSON data fetched from the server. Some of then include a large number of items (>20,000).
The SQL and HTML parts are working fine. The AJAX script fetches data fairly quickly (around 1 second) and large selects are not a problem once they're built (the browser handles them nicely, even IE). The bottleneck is in the process of picking the JSON data and building the <option> tags. That can take a full minute.
What's the recommended (i.e. fastest) method to generate a large <select> list?
My current approach is this:

I have a dynamic jCarousel which pulls in JSON data from php, and prints out the list html. What I'm trying to do is set the carousel start item as a variable, which would find the item with the class ".active", and start with that item. The problem is that since the data is dynamic when it looks for the start item, the list hasn't yet been rendered, therefore doesn't find any class or list data. The code below works with a static list, but not dynamic. I think my options are (a) wait for carousel to load, then somehow set the "start" item after, or (b) after list loads auto-scroll to the item with class ".active".

Not sure if this should have went into the php or javascript forum. I am trying to setup a script that will automatically population a html selection option based on the choice of the previous selection. If hard code everything it will work fine example manufacturer is currently being populated dynamically when the pages loads. The issue is I am can't pass pass the manufacturer variable through to be processed to only retrieve the models for that manufacturer. The code also uses a standard ajax script which httprequest in it.
Basically, i have a CSS/jQuery keyboard from NETTUTS; however my problem is trying to select multiple inputs. Everything works as it should, however i want to select the input, store it in hidden field (which input is current), then when i start to type, it can enter the characters into that input field (that is selected). Currently, it just allows me to enter inputs into a single textarea. I want to onfocus, set as "Focusedfield", and when i type it goes into that field.

The issue is with this first $write variable. I cannot for the life of me, get it to detect the dynamic variable. When i hardcode the inputs name, it works, but when i try something dynamic - it doesn't. Line 2 of that function is where my issue is (i believe).

I'm encountering a snag when attempting to dynamically populate multiple dynamic select elements. I have the following object hierarchy Field --> Category --> Expertise which are displayed within a form as select elements, e.g., when 'Field' is changed then the 'Category' is repopulated based on the root index value of 'Field' and then 'Expertise' is repopulated based on the root index value of 'Category'. I have created a site that has a form where the user can create as many rows as wanted. I really have no idea how I can then get this information to use in PHP.

I read something about naming each element something such as 'el[]' and then iterating through it on the PHP side, but that didn't make much sense to me. I have only been using PHP for a few weeks now so I'm pretty new.
I have a select that is populated from a mysql database, and I have a text input that if your option isn't listed, you can add it and it should add to the table that is populating the initial select. And I want to do it all without reloading the page, which is where jQuery comes in. Now, I've managed to have the text input add to the database without problems and echo back a "success" statement using ajax(). But I'm kind of lost on how to tell it to reload the data in the select.

I think I need to do something on success, but I'm kind of lost for what I should do. I thought about using load() and just having another php file that basically replaces the current select with the same thing; but it would show the newer data having just been called, but that seems like it's a crass way to handle it. I feel like there should be a way to say "run that mysql statement again" on success but my google foo is failing me.

If you notice, each checkbox has a different id than the other. how i represent them in javascript or get them together as one for one id. also, how do i represent them in mysql. As you know in simple html form, the checkboxes has one id.
i have a script which i found on the internet. i modify that script according to my needs. what is in that script is there are three form fields with two buttons. one button is "Give me more fields" clicking on this button will give you more fields. and second button is submit so the data goes to server side and will be added to db. the problem is when i click give me more fields it gives me three more fields which is right but when i fill all these fields and click submit button it adds to the db but the data in the first three fields adds in the one row and the other three fields data adds in separate row which is not fine for me. so how can i do this so all the data will be added to only one row.

I want to parse data from tables in webpages , there are no problems when I parse regular HTML tables, but it seems to be impossible to get any data from dynamic pages that update themself automatically.how to extract data from dynamic web pages? My goal is to read webpages with an application written in java, parse the page and clean the data and store it in a database.
