I have a rotating banner that cycles through all the images I load in. But I want the banner to stop on the last slide instead of going back to the first slide again.
At the moment the code I'm using to scroll through is:

I followed the tutorial on this site how to create a slide show. The slide show works great. What I am wondering is there anyway to make the slide show stop after running so many times?

I'm trying to create horizontal banner slide, I want something really simple and basic, most script i find is far to complex and more like a gallery. I found this script on dynamicdrive but it is quite old, it does what i'm after but and its a big but, i can't speed it up.
How i could increase the speed of the swipe from slide to slide on this?
Can anybody find out why the scrolling banner text doesn't work in IE but does in everything else? code...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two divs that are in the same parent div, only one is shown at once. When I toggle the one that is smaller (height-wise), the position of the scroll bar (and hence the user's current location on the page) remains the same. But when I toggle back to the taller div, the scroll bar launches you back up almost to the top of the page.Is there a way I can stop this from happening? I tried return false which i knew wouldn't work. I also looked into scrollTop() but that doesn't seem like it will be of any help since it only returns values and does not set any values?

Here is the feature in its current stage of development: [URL]. I've got the hover-to-pause part working (clunkily in terms of backend but it works), but now I need the house image to start centered on the page and pause there for two seconds, and then automatically slide with easing effects to center the next image for two seconds, and so on, rather than have one long continuous scroll. I'm very new to JQuery and if this project wasn't deadlining in a few days, I'd totally study a JQuery slider to see how they do the thing I need and try to adapt it for this carousel, but I'm afraid it's out of my league right now.

I'm attaching my php test file but this is a JS problem. When I scroll down in the web page and the meta refresh hits, in Windows Safari and IE6/7/8 browsers, the web page re-positions back to the top. In Opera and FF the page refreshes but it stays where it is. Can someone look at my test script and see why it is not working in IE and Win Safari? My goal is to have the web page not re-position to the top on the auto refresh.

Everything seemed to work great until I noticed the menu always stays visible as you scroll down the page.

I have been searching and trying out different javascript carousels and found JmyCarousel to be the one that best suits my needs. I made a few changes (I changed the speed, image size, and the scrolling has been set to automatic) and it works almost the way I want it to except for one problem: I can not figure out how to stop the carousel from scrolling on mouseover.I have changed the value evtStop to 'mouseover' but this has not solved the problem. I have no idea what else to change, as I have no knowledge in JavaScript.Here is the html code:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am very new to javascript and have only just started looking into it after working quite a bit in html, css and php.I have a working image banner on my webpage that switches between 1 of 2 images every 7 seconds. This all works fine but i now need to make the second image 'pcm2.jpg' a clickable link where as the first image 'pcm.jpg' which starts off the image rotation in the html page has no link. I have tried using 'document. rollbanner.href =' inside the function but that hasn't helped. Is that because the first image in the html page has no href value to begin with? If so how do i get around this as i dont want the first image to have a link, only the second one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been working on a freelance design site, and I have been using jshowoff and fancybox on my portfolio page. The portfolio has multiple sections that are set to be scrolled through using jshowoff by using the slide links. This use of jshowoff is working perfectly fine, but fancybox isn't. fancybox is supposed to be set to launch a modal when any of the portfolio thumbnail images are clicked. As it is right now, fancybox links will not work within the jshowoff slide div, but they do work outside of the jshowoff slide div.
I have done about 5 hours of searching online for possible fixed to my issue, and I haven't found anything. I am attempting to fix the conflict the between jshowoff and fancybox. I am very new to using jQuery plugins, so hopefully, you can all bear with me.If anyone may know how I can fix my fancybox links, so that fancybox will work within my jshowoff slide, I'd greatly appreciate it. I would like to be able to run this slide show from a random starting slide on each page load, but for the slide show to remain in sequence and not load random slides thereafter. I'm sure this is doable - but the only random syntax I've found for this plugiin loads just random slides, out of the running order, which makes the navigation run randomly. This menu is now working pretty correctly but I can't manage the problem of multiple queued animations. My menu is made in two parts. The first one contains buttons. When they're hovered over, the second level of the menu appears just underneath. But when several buttons of the first menu are hovered over, I can't stop the second level to appear and disappear anarchically. Here is an example of code of the second menu :

I'm having a little trouble with 2 differentJS scripts. I have a drop down slide menu and a parralex slide gallery. Both work on separate pages and puton the same page they still work however the submenu of the slide down menu does not. if I remove the style sheet that belongs to the gallery
Then the munu works, however (obviously) the page layout goes wrong. if i remove<h1 class="title">Alex Holland Perspective</h1> the menu works however page layout goes wrong andI loose my header
