I'm working on this page: Work in progress
I'm using this tutorial:
On my work in progress link, I have two players on one page that just replace each other. The problem is with the left and right navigation arrows on the picture viewer. When you switch to the video player (grey video button on below player) the navigation arrows remain, I want them to only appear on the picture viewer. I think I can do this using z-index in css but need to give the two arrows some id's so I can select them. I can't seem to work it out in jquery! How to give the two images id's (see code below) or even better, make them only appear when you are on the picture viewer.

This is what I'm trying to do: I want a simple image container to swap the image inside it by clicking the nav buttons on the right like 1, 2, 3.Here's my code:
HTML Code HTML4Strict: <div id="item1"> <div class="img-container shadow" style="background-image:url(images/gallery/tcg1.jpg)">[code].....
My jQuery code is not right. I want it to turn off the "hover" class and the "show" class of the others when you click one. I think I need some kind of if..else? how to write it? I have a bg image set on the container div so there's an initial image to view.I also need multiple of these on the same page!
I'm creating a hover effect like this. I have a 6 columns of images. There are 2 images per column stacked on top of each other. Like so:
X X X X X X X X X X X X
The top row of X's I want to start out as invisible. When you hover over the bottom row of images, the top row fade's in (by toggling the css code opacity from 0 to 100), and then when you mouseover, it fades back out to 0. I'm having trouble setting this up. Here's my HTML:
1. I want to have 2 things on my page: an unordered list of links at left, and a grid of images at right. Each item in the list is represented by an image in the grid. This is how it should work: when you mouse over an image, the text link at left changes color. So, I hardly know any jQuery, but I suspect that you need to dynamically insert a css class selector into the <li> for that list item. How in the world do I do this?
2. I am using this plugin: jQuery cycle lite. Is there a way to make the images appear in random order, rather than in the same, fixed order?
My code: [URL]... When I click on UpraviƄ in class edit I need add some HTML code to begin and to end of class entry how to I can select class entry in the same class post on which I clicked?
how to get my form to give an error message if the telephone or email is not filled in. I only need one of them to be filled in, i.e. it's a contact form, I need to be able to respond somehow. I can make it do an error for each individually, but not either or. I was trying to use an OR statement. || but I couldn't make it work
1) how can i give absolute url to call GetDate method of default.aspx page?the problem is that, if my page is in a folder and accessing the Default.aspx page method.then it give error object not found, because my Default.aspx page is out side of the folder in which folder page it accessing the Default page method.
2) Is it possible to call a method which is in a class(not a .aspx page)or in a master page of .NET(method declared as Web Method)?
This probably isn't that difficult, but it's a bit out of my league.
What I'm looking to do is find an image name, I think using document.images [], then strip the extension, then use the DOM to set the result as the class name of a div.
Something like this:
document.getElementById("thediv").className = [image src without extension];
The image that I'm looking to identify will change from 01.gif to 40.gif, and is served by a lame proprietary server-side tool. I can't control what it is at any time, but it will always be from 01.gif to 40.gif.
There will be corresponding styles in my stylesheet that would give me the effect of <div id="thediv" class="01"> (except set by the DOM) after the script has done its magic.
How do I make a "new Image()" class clickable? I found out how to move it around with the keys, but is there some way to make this image clickable?I don't want clickable images as an HTML element. It has to be inside my JavaScript canvas.
I have a huge blob of code but the main part I am focusing on is this
$('.billboard_click').click(function () { //this remove class $(".billboard_click").removeClass("billboard_click"); });
1. Execute a click event when the div with the class 'billboard_click' is clicked
2. Once clicked, remove the class from that very div to avoid another click from happening
3. Execute a series of events such as animations, etc
4. add the class back to the clicker div
The code does not seem to work as expected but I am wondering if I am having issues elsewhere at this point and wonder if this actually is known to work
I am new to this discussion but hope you would post reply for my query and encourage me to keep in touch with this discussion. Well here is my problem. I have made an edit in place form in which we can add and remove the elements. I have used jquery.jeditable.mini.js and jquery.duplicate-remove.js plugins for edit in place and add and remove action. I have live() function to access the dynamically ganerated elements like this. $(".addressDiv span").live("mouseover", function(){ clickable function here...
I shoud give a "value" to an DIV's ID that change following the name of the directory where the file is.
For example the file is here: www.website.com/web/01/file.html
Is it possible with javascript to give the value "01" to the DIV's ID? <div id="namedirectory"something inside </div> so it could be readed as: <div id="01"something inside </div>
I am adding a CSS class to a DIV as follows:$div.addClass("Hover");But I would like the class to be added only if the DIV does not have a class named "Disabled".
I have this filter in a results table that also reflect in a ui datepicker day styling (ex:available unavailable) . Everything fine till i change month or year in datepicker . Maybe i have to use live() or livequery() but can see the way .This is the code:
$("#filterSelect").change(function(){ var filtro=$("#filterSelect").val(); $("#filter-box2").val(filtro);
I'm trying to figure out which selector is faster (assuming that the class 'foo' only appears on input tags)...
$('.foo'); or $('input.foo');
From what I've seen online, it seems that people recommend $('input.foo'), but in some limited testing it appears that $('.foo') is much faster in both FF and Chrome. In IE, both methods seem to produce similar results. Here is a fiddle with a simple example...

Have browsers started implementing native ways to find all elements with a given class name? Would that explain why $('.foo') seems to be faster?
I have a page with checkboxes generated by a script. Users are suppose to select the checkboxes and click on a button to process their selection. The codes work fine except when I only have one checkbox on the page. Then it will not register sReturn.....
I have a text box to which I give focus when a page loads. There is more than one submit button on the form. When I enter something in the textbox then hit Enter the first submit button on the form is activated. Is there some simple code I can use to shift focus to the submit button I want as I press Enter?
i have a page with lots of checkboxes and hidden fields. When i tick a checkbox i want it to give the hidden filed a value. But give it no value if it is not ticked. For every checkbox i have a hidden field is with it. Both the checkbox and the hidden field send information. I have used some js scripts but they don't seem to work with more than one checkbox.Example:
So when box1 is ticked it then gives price1 a value. But if not ticked then the value remains at 0. I want it to give a value of 699.There will be about 100 checkboxes and hidden fields on the page. Also onclick behaviours do not work because it may still send the information if the checkbox is not checked.So for the next checkbox and hidden field i use box2 and price2.
I found this matrix animation and was thinking it would be neat to run inside an inset table within its background with text over it and an image behind the vertically running text, though as it is right now it over takes everything on its own, how would it be possible to place it in a layer, I am referring similar to z-indexing it, also I think its background would need to be made semi-transparent or simply removed and then the tables background used instead? Code:
