I have this form that validates a few textboxes & a dropdownlist. And when it is not filled in, the border of the textboxes and dropdownlist would turn red, followed by an alert message notifying which field have not been filled in.Else, the border will revert back to black, and the form will be submitted successfully. Right now, I would like to prevent the user from entering blanks (like entering a space to cheat the system). How should I tweak the codes to make it work?

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out how to copy selected listbox items from one listbox to another -- on button click. I've searched for a while, but every example that I found moves the actual item into another listbox, I just want to copy the selected item to another listbox.

i am making a website that relies heavily on jquery plugins, i using notepad++ for the creation of the site. for me it is relatively complex (i havent designed websites in a very long time and back then was flash extensive).
my client works very slowly and purposefully and wants his writer to edit the content them self. my concern is making the text easily to find and edit and not being able to damage any of the css, or jquery or html.
what is the best way to accomodate the client needs? i have looked into having it converted to a cms site like joomla but do not know if it is possible or feasible since they like the design but have lots of changes.

I have two drop-down listboxes on a page. One listbox is visible and named sParent the other is suppose to be hidden and is named sChild. There are only 2 option values in the sParent listbox and they are vParent and vChild. If the user chooses the vChild option from the sParent listbox, than the second listbox named sChild is suppose to become visible, but if the users chooses any other option value or no option value at all from the sParent listbox the sChild listbox is to remain hidden.
