JQuery :: Create Tabs - "add" Button - Upon Which Click And Then Obtain A New Tab On Page
Feb 1, 2011
I am trying to use Jquery to create an "add" button, upon which you click and then you obtain a new tab on your page. But it's hard for me to understand how to do that because the language seems complicated. I found this :
I am using lightbox on my site along with ExpressionEngine. I have some Jquery script in place that I need to make some changes to. I have managed everything myself except one line where the variable is changed depending on which image is clicked.
Here is a sample page and the code is for central the images
[URL]
The code I ma using is this
[code] <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $$('div.preview').first().addClassName('here'); //add a new link around the large image, assign it a dummy link and //the rel: lightbox so that lightbox.js will recognize it
I have nested tabs in jquery tabs which are pretty simple to do if we want static jquery tabsbut what if we want nested tabs that the remote page should decide what would be the tabs.or in other words i want nested tabs in a remote page (or ajaxified) For example i m calling this page(remote page) through tabs
when i click a "CREATE" button a row should be created which contains 5 columns. In first column check box, second column textbox, third column textarea, fourth column radio button, fifth column a button with "DELETE" as value, which on click should delete the created row.
the number of times i click "create" button that many rows has to be created.their names also should be generated dynamically.
here when i click the test button it will create a new test button inside div tag.But after that if i clicked new generated test button document.getElementById("test" ).onclick = function() is not working.how can i add functions to new dynamically created fields?
I would like to create vertical variant of the standard ui.tabs. In visual terms, I would like to "rotate the basic ui.tabs layout by 90 degrees, clockwise"; the tabs should be on the right, with a maximum width of 50-60px. Basically, I would like to re-create a standard, paper-based, address-book, with each tab having a letter (or a range of letters).
I've tried a number of variations, but my CSS/jQuery skills obviously fall short of my imagination... :-)
I recently added a section to my website that uses the Scrollable JQuery tool to load images from my Flickr account. When I initially load the page the "next" button requires two clicks before it will advance to the next set of images. This only happens on the first attempt following the page load. When I look at the code it appears that Scrollable fires an event on the first click that removes the "disabled" class on the "prev" anchor tag. It appears to skip the slider event that scrolls the images. You can view the issue here: [URL].
I'm trying to create an unordered list dynamically and then turn it into jQuery UI tabs... I think I'm having problem with syntax here, I managed to create the list and turn it into the widget, but those tabs don't look right, they have the outline of the widget but the content doesn't have actual tabs, so my guess is it only 'kind of worked'
$ ( "#doc3" ). append
[Code].....
is this the way to do it? (for now its just the test, eventually i want to use for loop to create the list and pull data from an array)
My programme is to let people play roulette wheel, record their choice of bet, amount of bet, result of bet, number of bets, bet limit. I would like these data being posted to myqsl each time the person bet, without the disruption of page refreshing. I have code as below, but it does not work. There is no error msg, just no data could be inserted.
Can JQuery toggle be use to switch divs on page load instead of having to click a button to start the action? What would I have to write in the header to make this happen if this is possible?
what i want to do is on the button click of a PHP page(selectcustomer.php) i want a popup screen that will contain customer names pickedup from the database... now when i will click on a customer from that popup screen. the selected customer will be now coppied in the text box of "selectcustomer.php"
I'm looking for a tut on how to create tabs for content, not tabs for navigation/menu. Yes, kinda confusing, but here's an example of what I'm after code...
If you scroll down mid way, you will see a tabbed area where it provides the options to check out: Photos, Location, Aeriel and Street View. This is what I want to mimic (not the tabbed navigation up top in the menu bar).
Can you recommend any tutorials that would teach me how to do this?
I want to be able to click on a checkbox (or a radio button) and have it reload the page, but also keep the item selected. The code I currently have reloads the page but does not check the checkbox or select the radio button. The code is: <form name="myform" method="post" action="thispage.htm"> <input type="checkbox" name="checkbox" value="checkbox" onClick="javascript:window.location.reload()"> </form>
I'm trying to make it so that when a user clicks on a radio button, the image that is related to the radio button is displayed next to it (without reloading the page). At the moment all it shows is the image related to the currently saved option, which I'd like to keep on page load. Is this possible?
I have a credit card donation page and what I wanted to do is after they click the submit button and transaction is successfult I wanted to capture the donation amount they enter from the donation page and show it to the next page.
My project is stated in the title, I want to let users who want to see my portfolio click on a button and the portfolio page slide over my index page. Ex. at www.visumdesignz.com over to the left is a button that says portfolio. when you click on it an extruder pops out, I used the extruder for another function, I decided I didn't want that function, but it gave me this idea. I want the extruder to slide over all of the content.
I noticed the facebook app has a similar function to what I am looking for, take a look at it, when you are looking at your dashboard the news feed slides off to the side, that's a similar idea, even though this isn't mobile, you get the idea, at least I hope.
I have files on the server: .txt, .xml, .config, and "no extension" - all editable with notepad.
User will write some input, it will be added to file in specific place.
I need an ability to change element value in file (in one of them - depends what user choose) (or it even can be some trigger word it-self like CHANGE_ME for not to use attributes)
Create a temporary copy of edited file and create a unique temporary link to it.
I don't know what to start from.... For now I know how to make XHR, but what to do with other extensions?
Have no idea how to save the NEW file (a copy of original file) on server , and create a UNIQUE link ,and delete the file right after it was downloaded.
I can find a specific word in xml file, but how to change it?[code]...
How you handle back button scenario in firefox browser. The problem is when i click browser back button , the javascript on load is not executed and page is rendered from cache.
I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.
Code (source file (renamed to .txt) also attached as I'm not sure the pasted code is too clear):
I have several boxes on one page with two tabs. But I have to copy the code for each tabbed box and change the id #showhidebox1 when I use the code below. I think there is a more simple way to do this.
i have been setting up 3 rows of tabs on one page. it works fine in terms of each panel closes when another is selected but on each row there always remains one tab as selectedDo you know of anyway to ensure for example that when i click a tab on row two and it becomes selected it will also remove the selected state from the tab on any other row?i have tried this but it does not do the trick
// $("#tabs1 ul li a").click(function(){ $('#tabs2').tabs({ selected: -1});
