i have two different posts on the same page, the AJAX appears to work ok on the first form post, I see the "LOADING PAGE", and I get the default slide transition to the next page, however on the 2nd form post on the same page it does not seem to work, it just goes right to the page, no "LOADING PAGE", no transition
Im using a plugin already called pbd-ajax-load-posts which is found here: [URL] (it's free and only has 3 files, a php, a css and the js which is where everything is at) The plugin works, but not on my template which is: [URL] It's a simple plugin and I tried playing around with it, and got really close to what I'm trying toachieve which is load the posts to an element,it's just not loading to where it needs to be. I'm new to this jquery/javascript and been trying to study it more
I want to build a form that work on one page only, to subtract the PHP pages for getting the data from all my web forms, I tried to pass the parameters to the same page but it dosent work.
This is my code... $(function() { $(".Like").livequery("click", function(e) { var ldl_session_id = $("#session_id").val(); var name = $("#commentName").val();
var ldl_id = $(this).attr("id").replace("post_id",""); var parent = $("#display_like_names-"+ldl_id); // var parent = $(this); $(this).fadeOut(200); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "ajax_like_names.php", data: "ldl_post_session_id="+ldl_session_id+"&ldl_post_id="+ldl_id, cache: true, success: function(html) .....
It works fine with bringing in the content from url ajax_like.php but I need to click twice to bring in the content from ajax_like_names.php. I don't understand why I need to click twice to get ajax_like_names to work, I looked in firebug and the variables are being posted on the first click but its not bringing the html back untill the second click.
I have a form on page1.php that will need multiple copies of page2.php to be placed or removed accordingly.
On page2.php it needs to have a select box (populated from a database) and a text area that will be posted along with the information on page1.php
Not sure if it'll help understand it, but basically page 1 has the employee's information, and they can add various details (and remove them) by pressing 'Add skill' then selecting a type from the drop down (communication, marketing, admin or whatever) and then a comment next to it.
Goal 1: display errors above the form on same page
Goal 2: direct users to a new thankyou page when form is submitted.
The form uses ajax. I am able to get it to work with the error messages displaying correctly but as is, the thankyou message also displays in the same spot and the form is left filled out. I need it to direct to a new page I designed for the purpose.
I created a Twitter plugin for jQuery that lets you get any user's latest twitts and information about the user like user bio, home url, location, etc.
Here is how you can use it to get latest 10 posts of "jQueryHowto" Twitter user:
I want to create an AJAX sender form for a contact page.
My standard php mail() form does not work on the server I have a site hosted on so I am going to send the request to the form on another server.
What I want to do is use AJAX to send the data in each section of a form to another URL (external) but I don't want to go to another page.
So I really want the AJAX form to send / post the data, get a tell back signal to say if it worked or not and then dependant on that I would like to load a success of failure page.
Well i do have a mysql query in one php page(php_1) & I want to submit the variables to the query in different php page(php_2) via form action but how am I supposed to do it without redirecting to php_1..All I need is to post the data to the first php page query so that It performs some action over there & thats all... So hoping sumone who knows ajax might helpme out with a sample code or point me in the right direction.
php_1 page :- $query = ("SELECT * FROM state4 WHERE (LONG_HI<'".$_POST['Ymax']."')"); php_2 page:-
I am writing a form that grows using ajax server responses to info as the form is filled in and everything is fine in standards compliant browsers but IE is having a problem. I have two js functions on the page that collect form data, send it to the server, and then write the server response as innerHTML to specified divs on the page. This works great in FF but in IE it runs the first function but fails on the second function and the two functions are identical except for the server routine.
The div that is populated with the server response so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the coding because if one works, and they are identical, the other should work too so perhaps IE is choking with the way it is handling two ajax objects on the same page? You will need to add something to the shopping cart first at [uRL] and proceed to checkout, then on the checkout page look in the url and change ste_chkout_proc to ste_checkout_proc and load the new url to see the dev checkout vs. the live checkout.
I am trying to make this page work where new posts that get posted to it append smoothly on refresh instead of sliding up and down like they do now. Right now, you hit reply on your post and the entire thing goes up then unfolds again with the new post there, but the place is lost where you were on the paeg and you have to scroll down and I think that is not that user friendly. I want it to just pop or slide down under the existing posts so that the place on the window isn't lost for the user.
The profile page is here. I am talking about the profile threads. It's a little bit like a facebook wall. If you need more info I will try and get it.
I am working on a php site, I need a functionality where titles of last four posts would show up, I know how to get last four titles. But don't know how to make them blink one by one on same place,like i have four titles name A B C D, first [A] then A should disappear and B will take place of A i.e. [B]. Its like text flashing up in rss feed, your last 5 or 6 posts show up one by one.
I have a form which goes to my insert page which inserts the data into the table. Except I didn't want to do a redirect to another page so I thought I would do an Ajax call. Both pages work until I change it to an ajax call.
I am pretty certain that it is because I took out the <form action="insert.php"> because otherwise the page would redirect but if that is the case I don't know my way around it and if it isn't the problem I'm not sure what is.
I am designing a site where users can submit a location. I want to use Google Maps with a draggable marker which posts the lat, lon when dropped on a position. I was wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial or could point me in the direction of anything similar.
i was using $.ajax method to get my ajax page on my main page,which is working great.But now if i have links in that ajax page then i can't open them in that same div,the links are opening in new window,but i want to open in same part,i tried google it and then found, i have to use iframe instead of div.how to do with only use jquery and div.
I'm working on a script that will produce multiple dynamic forms based on the results of an ajax request. The ajax request does a db query that will return 0 to x number of rows. For each row, a new serialized form is created. Since the forms do not exist at page load, I'm having problems getting the value of the form elements so that I can run other functions on them (update inputs and selects). I've stripped down everything so that I can show a basic example. In the example, how would I get the value of "#orderID"? The body contains a div (previousList) that has a list of items that when clicked will trigger the ajax query. It also has a div (line details) that will hold all of the forms that are generated.
<div id="lineDetails"> check it out </div> <div id="previousFrm" class="ui-widget-header ui-state-highlight ui-corner-all"> <h3>Previous Returns/Cancels</h3> <div id="previousList"> <ul class="previous" id="returnList"> <li id="1000997" class="names">1000997: 101853</li> <li id="1000995" class="names">1000995: 101853</li> ..... But callingconsole.log("order line value is " + $("#orderID").val()); results in 'undefined'.
Several non-form input elements (a text field, a few buttons).
There is an "add file" and a "remove file" button. Whenever the "add file" is clicked, new_file_count is incremented and a form is created (ID: "nc-" + new_file_count, NAME: "ncform", enctype: "multipart/form data"). Whenever "remove file" is clicked, the last form is removed, and new_file_count is decrimented. Each form has a hidden submit element named "NEW_SUBMIT".
There is also a text field button, when it is clicked, a hidden field in each form is updated, along with the text in a span element within each form. This works properly.
Finally, there is the non-form "Check in documents" button. When this is clicked, the function LAC_NEW_CHECKIN_CLICK is called (see end of mail). This should iterate through each form, and submit it, and the alerts I put in the validation function would suggest it is doing that.
However, when the actual LAC_submit_checkin function is executed, the checkin is not being executed as AJAX (I'm redirected to the json output of the first form).
I have a form. Upon submit, the data is sent to the server. Under certain conditions, the form is replaced via ajax with a set of radio buttons that offer the user a a choice.I need to access the radio buttons before I submit the form again.Normally I could just access the buttons with getelementbyid but it is not available, presumably because they were generated via ajax.I could submit the form just to access the radio buttons and then submit it again, but I'd like to avoid that.
Im doing an Ajax call which calls a Java struts 2 action. This action basically just does a DB update. There is no data being returned to the client. The page refreshes to a blank white page. I dont want his to happen. I want a pop up box on my page. The ajax call happens when i press a save button. Here is the jquery code:
[Code]...
Im a Jquery newbie. As far as I can gather JQuery is expecting data back. It gets nothing back (which is what I want). But Jquery does a refresh with this. Hence why my page goes to a blank white page. I think this is what is happening
I was thinking of putting in my dummy div and loading the blank/empty no html into the dummy div but there has to be a way to stop the white page showing up. I dont get pop up boxes either as shown in code above:
I'm using AJAX to pull in a page into another page. The page I am pulling looks like so:
<script type="text/javascript"> $('#conditionslink').click(function () { var content = $(this).parent().parent().parent(); content.find('#progConditions').toggle();
[Code].....
And the second looks roughly the same with a different ID for the outer most div "module". I know my problem is related to the $('#conditionslink').click() and that its pulling the conditionslink of the first fragment and therefore causing that click event to fire twice. I suppose i'm looking for a way that i can be more specific about which conditionslink the script is talking to. Whether the answer is to put the script elsewhere or if i need script on my receiving page idk.
