Automatically Appear / Disappear Titles Of Last Four Posts
Jun 21, 2011
I am working on a php site, I need a functionality where titles of last four posts would show up, I know how to get last four titles. But don't know how to make them blink one by one on same place,like i have four titles name A B C D, first [A] then A should disappear and B will take place of A i.e. [B]. Its like text flashing up in rss feed, your last 5 or 6 posts show up one by one.
I would like to create different pages with dynamic tab titles. I would also like to have multiple level of tab. Currenlty I tried the kooltabs but I have problem for instance my last tab is having the final submit button and when my first tab is having the error I can show the contents of the first tab but the tab is not highlighted to reflect its content. Is there any other relevant tabs.
m tryig to display titles of more than one word of scrolling images when hover on the images. But there is a problem in my code. It shows only the first word when hover the images. e.g the images title is "My first image" then it will display only 'My' as the title. Is there any option to fix this problem using the javascript.
This is my code... $(function() { $(".Like").livequery("click", function(e) { var ldl_session_id = $("#session_id").val(); var name = $("#commentName").val();
var ldl_id = $(this).attr("id").replace("post_id",""); var parent = $("#display_like_names-"+ldl_id); // var parent = $(this); $(this).fadeOut(200); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "ajax_like_names.php", data: "ldl_post_session_id="+ldl_session_id+"&ldl_post_id="+ldl_id, cache: true, success: function(html) .....
It works fine with bringing in the content from url ajax_like.php but I need to click twice to bring in the content from ajax_like_names.php. I don't understand why I need to click twice to get ajax_like_names to work, I looked in firebug and the variables are being posted on the first click but its not bringing the html back untill the second click.
I am trying to make this page work where new posts that get posted to it append smoothly on refresh instead of sliding up and down like they do now. Right now, you hit reply on your post and the entire thing goes up then unfolds again with the new post there, but the place is lost where you were on the paeg and you have to scroll down and I think that is not that user friendly. I want it to just pop or slide down under the existing posts so that the place on the window isn't lost for the user.
The profile page is here. I am talking about the profile threads. It's a little bit like a facebook wall. If you need more info I will try and get it.
I am trying to scan links inside an iframe. Iframe id is changing at every page load but it is nested inside certain divs. All i want is scanning links titles inside iframe. Currently i am able to scan links titles but it does not read inside iframe ones.
I want to create a dynamic way to change the page titles on a website. I am currently using a php include feature and due to the variable data required for a title/meta is there an easy way to control this from one file and then include it in a similar way?I don't really want to go through lots of pages manually amending it in the future?
I'm looking to create a drop-down menu with rather long option titles. The problem is that I want to restrict the boxes size otherwise the size changes to the length of the longest entry. When I use the length attribute, it forces the drop-down to be a certain length, but it also cuts the sentences in half when I drop the options due to the option box being the same length as what I set the drop-down menu's length to be.
Is there any way to set the drop-down menu's size, but have a different size on the option menu that is displayed when the drop-down menu is clicked?
i have two different posts on the same page, the AJAX appears to work ok on the first form post, I see the "LOADING PAGE", and I get the default slide transition to the next page, however on the 2nd form post on the same page it does not seem to work, it just goes right to the page, no "LOADING PAGE", no transition
I created a Twitter plugin for jQuery that lets you get any user's latest twitts and information about the user like user bio, home url, location, etc.
Here is how you can use it to get latest 10 posts of "jQueryHowto" Twitter user:
Im using a plugin already called pbd-ajax-load-posts which is found here: [URL] (it's free and only has 3 files, a php, a css and the js which is where everything is at) The plugin works, but not on my template which is: [URL] It's a simple plugin and I tried playing around with it, and got really close to what I'm trying toachieve which is load the posts to an element,it's just not loading to where it needs to be. I'm new to this jquery/javascript and been trying to study it more
I am designing a site where users can submit a location. I want to use Google Maps with a draggable marker which posts the lat, lon when dropped on a position. I was wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial or could point me in the direction of anything similar.
I have a form all setup and working to add in rows to my table but when I submit or save, etc., the inserted rows do not show up in my page, the disappear.Here is the Code...
So, I have a content div and a floating sidebar (that's draggable). When I click on the content div, I want another div (with id #formatting) to appear inside the sidebar. This is already working.When I click outside the content div I want the #formatting div to disappear — but if I click inside the #formatting div it also disappears. How can I get it to stay there when I click inside the sidebar?Should I use an if statement, or are there other options?
I have a problem with my draggables disappearing. They behave properly, correctly firing their function when the drop and correctly highlighting their droppable when they are dragged in. They are just not visible when they cross the Div dividing line.
I've been trying to find a good JavaScript code that I can use to make the text in my User Name and Password Input Boxes disappear. Does anyone know where I can get a good code for that?
I'm a beginning JavaScript programmer. What I do is looking for some code on the internet and try to understand to let it fit my needs.What I'm trying to do now is to let the default value of an input disappear onclick. It works fine except the default value of the password input are bullets instead of 'password'. Only when people give their password, it has to be bullets.
I'm not sure if what I'd like to do is possible, but it seems like it should be easy to do.
The website (and specific page I'm inquiring about) is
What I created is a list of projects, and upon rolling over a project name, an image appears that relates to that project on the right. Simple CSS trick.
In addition to this, I'd like for when the page first loads for there to be a placeholder image on the right hand side, and after the user hovers over the first project, the image would disappear and not return.
I think this makes sense to do so the user has something to look at before they start hovering over project names, instead of there just being a giant blank space.
Is this possible? It seems like it should be easy, but I really know nothing about Javascript.
I'm trying to make selected text appear / disappear depending on what the user clicks on. It works perfectly (as far as i can tell) in firefox, but in IE i get "Could not get the display property. Invalid argument". the strange thing is, it will make things disappear, but not show. I'm trying to change the display from 'none' to 'table-row' because that's the only thing that would display properly in firefox. here is the applicable [code]...
