Get Everything To Fade In After Loader Completes?

http:[url].....If you're on fast internet, you might not even see it, but I don't know how they do two things upon entrance.
1.) Allow the content to load (and function as a preloader)
2.) Get everything to fade in after loader completes. Is it just a div overlapping everything where opacity turns from 1 to 0 or what?
I know this loader must be javascript, but this is all I can find when viewing the source, so I don't know if there is php involved but I'm guessing there is.

I'm using .each and .delay to have a background color crawl down some list items, as below. But I can't figure how to then trigger a change, such as another background color, after all the .each iterations are complete. Everything I do with the returned object happens immediately.

I have a table with a number of rows in it each with a delete link which calls $("#" + id).remove(); of course passing in the right table row id each time. I also have a row at the bottom that has divs with totals of columns in each row. After I add a row to the table I call a function that goes through each table row, gets the values that I need and keeps a running total. I finally update the divs in the last row with these totals. However, when I do the row.remove() and then call my calculate function it never completes.
In my debugging it looks like the tblWorksheet table that I'm trying to get to, to get it's rows, is no longer recognized. So I'm wondering if instead of removing the row by the id if I need to call the remove function on the table to tell it to remove the row. If so I'm not sure of the syntax to do that. The following doesn't work.

If that's not the case, why I couldn't get to my table after removing the row?

I want to do exactly as mentioned on the title. You can consider this like surfing pages in traffic exchangers or PTCs. The functionality is exactly like those, though it is not for those.

I have a PHP page that talks to a MySQL page, i want to put in a "loading"
message. I have tied to use a layer and using a showlayer at the top of the page and
hide at the bottom, but it does not work, it still waits for the PHP to run. I know it can be done, as i have seen it, how do they do that?

Is there a way of getting javascript to load or reload on a mac?
At the moment I use this function Code:

I found this script for a navigation fade-in/fade-out and I want to modify it so it'll only trigger the fade-in/fade-out functions of the span class is NOT set to active. Here is the javascript:

I'm creating a site using AJAX and I would like for an ajax loader to appear in between the page loadings.

This works perfectly the first time - the ajax loader appears for about three seconds before disappearing and instead the page is displayed. But the second, third, fourth ... time, the ajax loader never shows up.

I want to make a gallery with image loader. When image placed in JavaScript Image object finishes loading, the script includes it into HTML code and performs jQuery fadeIn effect on it.
The '.complete' property of the Java Script 'Image' object is perfect for this purpose(recognizing when image has finished loading) but the only problem is that Mozilla Firefox doesn't recognize this property and in this browser it's always true(always loaded) even if it's not. The script works perfectly in other browsers.
Does someone of you know what is the other way of recognizing whether the image finished loading or not?

I have a gallery style page with rectangular images on laid out like a grid of nine. When the user looks at the page there is just the images and no information, but when they hover over the image I would like some text and a bar underneath to show up over the top so the user can read some information.my images sit in "a" tags. There is also a div tag in there which has it's z-index and position (absolute) set up so that it sits over the top of the image element in the "a" tag. stripped down e.g.
<a href="#"><img.... /><div>the info</div></a>
I need the div tag withinin the "a" tag to be set to 0 opacity. When the user hovers over the image the div tag slowly fades in to 100% opacity. Once the user moves the mouse away from the image the div tag slowly disappears again.I need each one to work independently so that it only changes the one currently being hovered over.

I'm having problems with my text appearing aliased and turning blue when it fades in and out. I've tried using the Newsticker plugin and the Easyticker plugin, and I'm getting the same result in IE7 and Firefox 3.6. I'm using jQuery 1.2.6-min Specifying a background color doesn't fix it. The examples on the plugin websites look fine, but when I try and implement the effect myself, my orange text becomes aliased and fades to a light blue color before dipping to white. Same thing happens on the fade in. attached is a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

I want to start coding using the YUI provided by yahoo, but do not understand how to set up the yui.loader script that pulls in the rest for me. What this script does is pull in all dependencies and install them. Just like using the installer in linux. But there does not seem to be any howtos for beginners. I have never used jaascript before, And this is suppsed to be a cut & paste way of getting started but I have been doing that most of the day and reading about it but I still obvoisly do not understand or missing somthing.
