We are conducting a ceremony in an Auditorium where 336 People are gathered and afterwards we want to choose 20 of them randomly. We want to display the whole act of choosing them via projectors on the auditorium screen with a little animation. Basically the concept of the animation goes like this:

Im wanting a certain submit a certain input button (I have several different ones in one form) depending on which drop down item they select.
So if they select Copy. I would want the javascript function to basically act like <input type="submit" name="copyfile" /> was clicked, and similarly if Rename was clicked, I would like it to act as if <input type="submit" name="rename" /> was submitted.

Anybody have a basic script for reading and writing to a cookie using jquery in this fashion?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a button similar to Facebook's 'Like' button which is applied to each item in a list. When a user clicks the like button this item is favourited for the logged in user. For the moment I do this in the following way:-

Obviously this is very unsecure because anyone can easily modify the item id stored in the like() function in the onclick property and like any item thes guess the id of.
My question is how do I make this secure by either not displaying the id of the item but still having it accessible to my like function or via some other method?

These scripts always hold up the rest of the page from loading. Is there anyway to defer them from loading or load them asynchronously?
I've created a script that should display a certain image based on the day of the week and the time of the day. After uploading the page to the site I receive no errors, however I'm not getting the display I should be seeing. It always returns the image from the final "else" statement. But, now I want to be able to set a default picture to be shown first and have the random pics appear next. I also don't want the default pic to show up again in the random array. So basically, every time the page was first visited, or refreshed it would show the default picture then move into the random pics.

The way I picture it working is this - there is an input field that asks for a password. If the user types in the password correctly, the "submit" div tag will change from "none" to "block". , which will display the submit button. I just am not familiar with JS enough to know if that's possible.
