I need help, HTML--i have two links, linkA & linkB--when clicking linkA -should display image1 and whn clicking linkB image2 should be displayed. The trick is they must be displayed in one image tag.
View 1 RepliesFor the moment disregarding function thirdPic, I am able to click on "sample text" and I switch from an invisible image (actually 1 px by 1 px) with a picture of a book with a quote (firstPic) that I want to appear on screen. After reading the quote the reader can click on the image of the book and it will disappear. And it works fine. However, there are a couple of cases where I would like to show a lengthier quotation which would require me to click on the first book image(firstPic) and a second book image would appear with more text(thirdPic). I can get the second image to appear but I can't get it to disappear. Or I can get the first image to appear and get back to the empty screen but I want to do both.
Everything I've tried to do doesn't work. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE BUTTON TO CLICK THROUGH A SLIDESHOW. It would not be the representation I want ot produce.

there I am using the below code to resize images posted on a forum, however when the page is loading it loads the images full size on sreen stretching the page to however wide the largest picture is and only resizes them once every picture has loaded and the page then goes back to normal width.oes anyone know how I could make it so the images only display once they've resized ?

Why this greybox isnt displaying my images? Click on the 'launch gallery' button at the bottom of the page: [URL]. I know all the paths are correct I just cant figure out why they wont display in the overlay!

I can retrieve the set of filespecs in php with no problem. And I've got the setup in php to display the file, one at a time.
I"ve figured out how to open a full-screen window in javascript.
What I need (I started in php and they sent me over here for specific javascript info), is to put everything together...
1. I'd LIKE to automatically set the resolution on the system to 1024x768. I've been told html and javascript can't do that, so it'll have to be done by the user.

3. What I need is to display the image from php and have it show up in the full-screen window I created. Then it just sits there until the user presses an arrow key (or hopefully something with the mouse) to go to the next (or previous) image. Back to php for the next file and display...
Once the last image in the set is displayed I'd like to have the window I created go away, sending me back to the screen from which all that got started...
So, as far as I know, the two things I need to know are how to display an image in a particular window from php. And, how to get mouse-clicks and/or arrow keys back to php so I can use them....

I am trying to make different images hover over a table of sliced images when you mouse over a particular image. ex. mouse over image 1 = have image 1.1 hover over entire table of images in spot A; mouse over image 2 = have image 2.2 hover over entire table of images in spot B....ect. what i have so far only allows me to mouse over image 1 and have image 1.1 hover over entire table in spot A. Any time i try to move forward with more div's on other images it just jacks everything up.

I´ve just launch my website-portfolio, well it´s not yet the final version but it is almost and despite I am satisfied with the final result I´ve detected a really strange bug that only happens sometimes. The thing is when the first introduction Slide appears (the one with the hand-made drawings), sometimes the images shrink from the normal size to small tiny images. This doesn´t happen always and if you refresh the page it disappears.

Now my image gallery is working properly but problem is that the speed of scrolling images if normal in firefox, but in internet explorer it is slow, and in google chrome it is very fast , Sir how to resolve this problem

I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.

I'm having difficulty loading images via Ajax on a site that I've been working on.I'm performing the ajax by using the Request.HTML object of the MooTools framework. Basically, I'm just passing some parameters to a php script which outputs some image tags and then I insert that HTML into a pre-defined content div. For some reason though, it seems that big images don't seem to load consistently when using this technique. Usually, they will just show up as broken images, but when I navigate to the url of the image that is 'broken', it displays just fine. Also, occasionally after navigating to the actual url of the image, my browser will cache the image and then it will display just fine when loading it through Ajax.

I tried even with image border propoerty and image style properties both border and padding as 0 20px. Both not working properly. The style padding property is working fine in firefox and google chrome. But it is working in IE 6.0

In that if one image has been clicked and turned white, and then the user clicks a different black ot, then that black dot should turn white, and the white dot should turn back clack.

All I've been able to find everywhere for this is examples of changing images when rolling over them or clicking them, and I don't need that.
What I need is a bit of javascript that will recognise some image paths on a page and replace those image paths with other ones.
It's for an ecommerce website on a certain platform, using a customer reviews section which outputs star images based on the customer's rating. So, the images used (which look awful) are, for example, "sourcehere/stars_5.gif", "sourcehere//stars_4.gif", and so on. Just 5 of them.
I want to design my own 5 images, upload those images, and then have the javascript replace the rubbish looking ones on the page with my own images.
I thought I'd be able to find something quite easily, but so far all I can find is examples of mouseover events and so on, and I don't need any of that, just the entire image replaced with my own image.

Unfortunately, the bottom code overwrites the top. Is it possible for each different background image to have their own "set" of images that could be scrolled through onclick?
When displaying a jpeg file, the image shows up in the top left corner of the browser. Any way to get the image centered?

did this by using an Iframe and it works but not on first load!
Each time I go to the page cold I need to hit refresh for the iframe loaded
page to display!!!
Is there a better way to do this or is the iframe the correct way? This is
only for users of IE.
