Disabling Checkboxes - Enter Code Behind Each Checkbox ?

I am creating a form using a system called SORCE.The load an article page, only check boxes.I have three checkboxes and want to disable the other 2 when one of them is checked. I have ability to enter javascript code behind each checkbox and there is already some code behind each check box. Below is an example of the code behind the first check box:

I have tried adding the other checkboxes to the if statement, but this just causes errors on the form.The 2nd check box is called value_toggle_54743 and the third is calledval_toggle _54746.What javascript can i add behind each check box to disable the other two when one is clicked?

I have a list of checkbox items, a maximum of 4 to be chosen. Got that part sorted.Within the list are a sub-group, maximum of one of these can be chosen.E.g. in a list of the numbers 1 to 8, I can choose up to four numbers, but only one of them may come from numbers 5 - 8.I can get it to choose a maximum four items from the 8, disabling other boxes once I reach four.I can get it where I can choose only one of 5 to 8.But, if I select, say 6 first and then go back to check 1,2 and 3, it enables 5,7 and 8 again. I don't know how to make them stay off once they're off.CODE:

I have a checkbox on a page which I have styled using some jquery code. I want the textbox underneath the checkbox to be disabled if the checkbox is ticked and enabled if it is unticked. I tried using javascript to do this but I beleive it didn't work because I have existing javascript/ jquery code on the page.

I want to check all checkboxes using one main checkbox. Then, the checkboxes will be disabled. But then, when the user unchecks the main checkbox, it must revert all the checkboxes to be enabled. How do I do so?

I have a simple form which I'm trying to validate. I have around 8 checkboxes that the user has to agree with, and if they dont, they get the message saying "you did not accept the training princples, yada yada".
I also have a few text fields asking for their details.
Maybe I'm missing something simple here, but everytime I submit the form, it doesnt validate. Im not fantastic at coding, but I was hoping this would be quite straight forward. All I'm trying to do is get a message up if the user doesnt agree with all of the checkboxes. Code:

I am having a problem in my struts application with the checkboxes in
my form. I have an array of checkboxes, some of which may be already
selected when the form loads. My problem is when the user then
deselects one or more of these checkboxes and submits the form -
they're being submitted as if they were still checked, when the user
has infact deselected them.
I've heard that this is a common problem, but I don't seem to be able
to find the problem / resolution with any search criteria. If anybody
knows the fix for this it would be greatly appreciated (if there is a
solution without using Javascript I would prefer this as we're trying
to write the application so it's not too dependant on Javascript . . .

I have a form that generates a dynamic number of rows from a value
passed in via querystring. I have a one static row in my form with a
"master" checkbox that I have deemed "Select All:". I want to be able
to select all and deselect all the other checkboxes beneath it in the
column by clicking on it. I've gotten it partially working. I can
click the "master" checkbox and it will set the .checked property of
all the others to true. BUT how do I reverse the process and turn them

I have the following checkboxes:
[ ] None [ ] Option 1 [ ] Option 2 [ ] Option 3
When the first checkbox is checked (None), I need the other three checkboxes to:
1. Become unchecked if the user had checked them
2. Become disabled
If/when the first checkbox is unchecked after that, the other three checkboxes would become enabled.

I have a jQuery form in which I create a series of checkboxes:

At the moment createb.php is just testing the form
The Problem is that the serialize function only sees the first checkbox and indicates whether it has been checked or not. It does not see any of the other check boxes. Does anybody have an idea why the other check boxes do not get serialized and what to do about it?

I have File Upload control in my form. When I click Enter key, it
triggers "Submit" button event. So I wrote onkeydown function as
follows:
if (window.event.keycode == 13)

return false;
}.
hence "Submit" button didn't fire.
But I want to assign Spacebar keycode as follows (so that it will open
file upload window)
if (window.event.keycode == 13) window.event.keycode=32. But this is
not working.

I have a simple script that counts the number of check boxes that are checked and then when reaches a certain number displays an alert. It is triggered by the onclick event.My question is, by keeping with the onclick event how do I make JS run something different when a box is unchecked.So bottom line - if it is checked the counter goes up...if it is unchecked the counter goes down all being triggered by the onclick event - is this possible.

A web page I'm creating will allow a visitor to download a number of PDF files. A form on the page has one checkbox for each of the PDF files. I also wanted to add a checkbox to select/deselect all the PDFs.All works fine, but I also want the visitor to supply their name and email address before downloading, so I want to add another checkbox before the submit button to allow them to opt in/out of having their email address used for further mail shots.Unfortunately since the code selects/deselects all checkboxes on the form, it also ticks/unticks the opt in/out checkbox.
Is there a way - possibly by targeting the opt in/out checkbox's ID - to filter it out of this mass selection/de-selection process?I'm sure it's pretty straightforward but as I say I'm a Javascript novice.

I am a php programmer and not a Javascript programmer and I am trying to help a friend out with his shopping cart. The original programmer (who wrote this years ago and is no longer around) has a button that looks up the quantities in the database for the submitted items, and then displays a prompt if you selected a quantity that is less than the minimum purchase amount.The issue is if the user enters a smaller amount than allowed and hits the enter key instead of the "Buy" button, it allows the order.how to use the current code to also check for an Enter key submission.I can handle the PHP and the db lookup for minimum quantities. My code gives me an error only the first time when i press the checkbox. If i press it for the second time or just to uncheck the checkbox and it gives me the right answer.I use IE7, xampp with appache server and Windows7.

I have the HTML all laid out for what I'm trying to do. I want to have the user be able to select any 10 checkboxes, and keep a tally of how many are selected, and how many are left to go. Should I do this with jQuery?
