1) Varchar(n) where 0 < n <=80. Ex: Varchar(20)

3) numeric(x,y) where x>y and 1<= x <=35 and 0<= y <=15. Ex: numeric(20,6)

Oct 28, 2006I have a very complex page created with JavaScript, and I'm also using frames. It's a calculator, and with each calculation the image frame is re-drawn.
I have many pages (calculators) like this and they all work fine and all use text boxes. If I put the cursor in any text box and press the Enter key, nothing happens.
In a new page I am creating, when I do this it causes the page to reload.
I'm probably screwed the coding up somewhere, but I'm looking for hints. What should happen if you put the cursor in a text box and press Enter?

In playing around to try to find the problem, I found that if I put two text boxes it solved the problem.

May 5, 2009My requirement is to develop a simple form with checkboxes which when selected calculate a price based on the value assigned to the checkbox. The form and calculations is working great but i need a few final touches which i can't work out.
1. I want the total to be in plain text and not in a text box maybe just drop the total value in a DIV.
2. I want the form to start with a default value for example 200, i have tried adding a hidden checkbox with a value of 200 and setting it to checked as default but it doesnt display 200 in the total when i first load the page it only calculates it when i select the first box and i need it to be displayed as the total even if no options are selected.

Validation - Text Area To Enter A Search ?
Mar 6, 2011I have a text area to enter a search, and I have already written the JavaScript part of it (unsure if this is where the problem lies). The text that will go into the text area is a URL. the search button is disabled if there are spaces in the query, or if the field is blank, else the button is enabled. The problem I'm having may or may not be to do with my script. The HTML is set to 'onKeyUp' and 'onBlur' to run the function. now, it works fine, unless the user uses the mouse to copy and paste a URL into the text area. the button remains disabled until the user focuses out of the text area then back in. if ctrl+v is used, then the function works.

Get Label Text From Checkbox (IE8)
Jun 20, 2010I've been trying everything I can to get the label text of this checkbox and nothing is working. I can get the length of the selectManyCheckbox object and I can tell if a checkbox is checked, I can even get the value of the checkbox. But I can't get the label text.
.innerText returns an empty string
.innerHtml returns an undefined
.textContent returns undefined
This is the function I'm using. I need the LABEL text NOT the value! I'm using IE8

Jun 30, 2011Having some trouble trying to figure out a javascript code that will allow a user a multiple selection of checkboxes and update a specific piece of text based on which and how many checkboxes have been checked.
I have been using document.write in order to give me a change of information based on which checkbox is clicked or if more than one has been checked. The problem I'm having is that this document write is overwriting all of my checkboxes as well so that the viewer can no longer change the selection and is just displayed with whatever 'total1' worked out. Is there anyway of getting the coding to display the answer it finds in 'total1' underneath the checkboxes in a text format? I'm not after a textbox, just plain text if possible?
