I want to make it so if i have several text boxes only one number can be entered once. So if i type the number 15 in the first text box and type 15 in the second text box an error will occur saying you cant enter the same number twice.

I have a text area to enter a search, and I have already written the JavaScript part of it (unsure if this is where the problem lies). The text that will go into the text area is a URL. the search button is disabled if there are spaces in the query, or if the field is blank, else the button is enabled. The problem I'm having may or may not be to do with my script. The HTML is set to 'onKeyUp' and 'onBlur' to run the function. now, it works fine, unless the user uses the mouse to copy and paste a URL into the text area. the button remains disabled until the user focuses out of the text area then back in. if ctrl+v is used, then the function works.

The application works fine but it makes the user enter the answer twice before it brings up the question "Would you like to continue?". I thought the fix would be to just call "myMH.checkAnswer(studentAnswer);" straight from the method in the "appclass" but that didn't fix it I m so lost on this problem. This problem most likely is right in front of my face but don't see it lol. I have another question as well but I think if I get this one figured out first it might answer my other one.

These words are added to an array and displayed in the page using the textarea form element. Each time a new word is entered, it is added to the array, and then the array is sorted in alphabetical order before the words in the array are displayed in the textarea, one per line. I have tried lots and lots of different methods to accomplish this, and I can get it half working when I use the alert function, but I need this to display on the page in a textarea rather than in an alert box, I tried to get it to write to the page using a document.write function, but like I said I am new to JavaScript and unfortunately cant get any of it working.

I am working on a online video portal build on flash/actionScript.
If I enter a url of a video when another video is playing, it doesn't playing the new video but it keeps on playing the old video. The reason I think is as it is a RIA, it doesn't refreshes the page and looks for a flash object and its already cached so it doesn't makes any http request in order to play the new video.

The problem is if the user starts to enter information, then switches to a different radio button (perhaps they chose the wrong radio to start), the text they already started to enter on the previous textfield doesn't get cleared.
