Image Change On Mouseover With Form Dropdown?
Aug 3, 2010I'm in the middle of teaching myself PHP and SQL so I'm only at the paste-and-tweak level with Javascript. Bear with my newbie-ness.I've seen a few solutions for creating a form dropdown menu that changes a nearby image based on what is selected. I want exactly that, but is it possible to have the images also appear on mouseover? I found a menu solution using CSS, but when I applied it to a form, it didn't work. Can anyone put me in the right direction on how to do that? I've started with this code, but need to tweak it to do this if possible:

Change ID Based On Width Of Image?
Nov 23, 2010I have a list of thumbnails generated by Wordpress. I've been trying to piece together a script that would change the ID of the parent element based on the image inside of it I can't seem to get anywhere, does anyone have a simple solution?
I need the id of the li to be "sm" or "smp" depending on the width of the image inside of it (landscape or portrait)

Consequently jQuery seems to interprit these as css notations, meaning the code doesnt work.

Options in list 1: 1,3 or 4
List two should be enabled when 3 or 4 is selected in list 1.
So far so good, managed to get it to work with only one set of lists, but I actually have 18 of those sets in this form:

If the user wants to submit their interest for one of the products, I need to have at most 3 dropdown menus. So in Example 1, I would have 3 dropdowns in my form. Dropdown 1: Scooters Dropdown 2: Three Wheel Scooters Dropdown 3: Delux 503S Bird Scooter.In Example 2, I would only need to use the first 2 dropdown menus. (Obviously the first dropdown would contain 'Scooters' and 'Standing Bikes' in the menu list)I would like to alter the code so that the second and third dropdowns are hidden until a selection from the first drop down is made. Once for example, 'Standing Bikes' is selected from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown menu appears and the third remains hidden due to the fact that it is not required. If I selected Scooters from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown would appear listing all items associated with this and at this point the third dropdown menu is hidden. But for some reason, the first dropdown works fine, but for the second dropdown, the textbox is always there on page load. Fill Value Of Text Field Based On Dropdown?
Sep 25, 2010What im trying to do is for each item selected from the drop down, display its value in a text box (GAC). I have attached a picture of the image to clarify.
The drop down items are populated from a database, and each item has an associated GAC value. The remaining inputs are user supplied and all the inputs including the drop down item and its value are is stored in a different table in the database.

Activate/Deactivate Fields Based On A Dropdown Selection?
Apr 29, 2010On a registration form I have 4 fields that are all dropdown select fields. NAME, CLASS-1, CLASS-2, CODE
1) I would like to activate the CLASS-1, CLASS-2, CODE fields only if the NAME IS Selected from the dropdown.
2) Also would like to make the CLASS-1, CLASS-2 as required fields if the NAME is selected from the dropdown.
How can I achieve this? Can I use some kind of a server event to activate / deactivate the fields on the form?
Dropdown Hover Menu Based On Scrolling Position?
Oct 20, 2010there was any premade dropdown menu which opens based on what position you are on the page.
For example, when I'm on the top of the page and hover the mouse over the dropdown menu, the menu opens upward instead of downward because the navigation is mid-screen. But if I was to be more than halfway across the screen and still see the navigation as it was on top of the screen and hover the mouse over it, the dropdown menu opens downward as oppose to up.
Auto Text Field Populate Based On Dropdown
Feb 22, 2011I've looked around and from what I can tell, the code seems right. Basically crating a JS array and passing PHP values to it to use in an onChange to fill a text field. The dropdown gets populated fine but the text field does not autopopulate onChange. I'm not too fluent with JS but have a good analytical mind and from what I can see, the logic seems right.
