i'm quite new to javascript and have an issue with an image swap script. I have three images that should change based on the value of a text field (total), however, there is only one image that is swapping. Please see the code below:

I'm failing to get a pure CSS way to achieve this, so trying JS. Several small images in a row, each different. Want mouseover to:
1. change each image to different image on mouseover (each image has its own mouseover image version).
2. produce different paragraph of text below row of images on each mouseover.
I can achieve it with mouseover on text links or on an image, but not with the two events, viz mouseover image swap + mouseover text swap. Would also want to be able to style the text.
For instance, if I had 10 or more images to change this would become quite cumbersome.

Let's say I have three images - one large image and two small thumbnails like so.

Now, what I'm trying to achieve is: When you hover over the 2_small.jpg the 1_large.jpg temporarily changes to '2_large.jpg' until you mouseout then the image reverts back to '1_large.jpg'. If you click on the '2_small.jpg' thumbnail the '1_large.jpg' permanently changes to the '2_large.jpg' until you either hover/click on the '1_small.jpg' thumbnail.
Hey im working on a website and id like to put a image swap in so that the image will change on a timed event. Id like to make it so that when i click it it will bring me to anew page which isnt hard i just cant figure out the image swap.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a list of links that go to pages that have a similar layout. Could I have a text swap, similar to what I've seen with image swaps (or an image switch) whereby instead of loading a seperate page, text and image is just replaced?
Other than not being accessable by non-javascript supported browsers, and unlikely to be indexed by search engines, would I face any other difficulties? For example, does an image/text swap have any browser dependancy issues? If I know that all my clients will have javascript switched on, I'm trying to figure out how much of my audience am I limiting by having this 'feature' (my oldest clients that visit are IE5.5 and Netscape 4 but these make up less than 2% of my entire visitors during the past ten months).

What is happening now is when you click the little image on the left (in the top black area) changes and shows a new picture. Unfortunately thats CLOSE but not right. I need it to change the image on hover and actually open a link on click/

Now i want to pre populate the STD code when ever a known city is selected (when city is selected from the recommendations displayed for city field).

When a thumbnail is clicked, it opens a large image at the top of page and then to the right of the large image, the description of the project appears. Both the large image and the text would fade in and stay until the next thumbnail is clicked. I have this for the script (someone pulled this from a site and gave to me) that works for clicking the thumbnail and the large image shows up:

I have image thumbnails on the right of the page. When the user clicks on a thumbnail I want two events to happen.
1. I want the image in the center of the page named "swap" to swap to a larger version of the clicked thumbnail.
2. I want the person's bio to pop up in a div to the right of the bigger picture.
The page looks fine in Firefox 2.0, Ie7, but the image doesn't swap in ie6. The text switches, but the image doesn't pop up.
based on selection of radio button, i want to change the text box to enable and disable. And additionally, how to set if i enter a value in textbox1 then calculating something and display the result in textbox2 that to on key up.. not on form submitting.

I have a form that captures member registration details. In the admin section .. I would like to change the Status field of a record/s from NEW to PAYMENT DUE after 14 days from the data of submission. The status change should automatically trigger on the 15th day. So when the admin checks the list page he/she should be able to view the updated status field.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've created a registration form with sponsorship options hooked to checkboxes. My original form used ASP to keep values in hidden fields to use for totaling everything at checkout time.
Now I'd like to use PHP and Ajax to place the value into the text field related for each option checked.
I'm able to do that making an Ajax call. My problem that I need help with is this: If the visitor decides to uncheck a sponsorship option, the value placed in the associated field remains on the form. How do I replace that value with a null or empty string if they decide to uncheck their original choice?
I've tried JavaScript to no avail so far, both in the client side and server side code. I'm very new at this and I need help. Will jQuery work without having to change a bunch of code?
What im trying to do is for each item selected from the drop down, display its value in a text box (GAC). I have attached a picture of the image to clarify.
The drop down items are populated from a database, and each item has an associated GAC value. The remaining inputs are user supplied and all the inputs including the drop down item and its value are is stored in a different table in the database.
I have a form that has a pretty complicated combo box - a user starts typing text, it queries a database for matches, and displays the results to the user. The user can then select the match they desire and it has a value id, which I am currently sending to a hidden field in the form. So, for example: user starts typing in a movie name, Seven - it returns Seven and user selects it. The form submits the id of the movie seven (say 12) to a hidden field.
Where I am stumped: Once a user selects a movie title, I have another drop down select box that is to display the available formats of the movie by querying my database based on the product id (12) and returning the available formats in the list:

I am pretty good at programming, but I cannot figure this out - how to make the select box fire and return results once the value for the textbox has been captured.
The specific piece I'm stuck on at the moment is this:I have a form with a lot of fields, two of which are subnet (a drop box populated from a database, via PHP) and IP address (a text input box). When the user selects a subnet, the value is sent to a PHP script that queries the DB and returns the next unused IP address. If all I wanted was to display that in a div next to the IP input box, I'd be set -- that works fine.Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the returned data into a text input box, which is what I actually want.I know that ocument.getElementById("div_id").innerHTML=request.responseText; will display the text in a div in my sample code. I found a post somewhere that implied that frm.getElementById("input_id").value = request.responseText; would do the job for a text input, but it doesn't, at least in any of the browsers I've tested.

The dropdown gets populated fine but the text field does not autopopulate onChange. I'm not too fluent with JS but have a good analytical mind and from what I can see, the logic seems right.

I have a list of thumbnails generated by Wordpress. I've been trying to piece together a script that would change the ID of the parent element based on the image inside of it I can't seem to get anywhere, does anyone have a simple solution?
I need the id of the li to be "sm" or "smp" depending on the width of the image inside of it (landscape or portrait)
