Edit Profile - View Profile Page With Some Field Like Name - Phone - Address
Dec 19, 2009I have a view profile page with some field like name,phone,address etc. with edit button in each field.

When a user saw that his name is wrong he click on the edit button and shows his name shows in the editable format in the same page(view profile). i mean to say that when we saw our profile in [url] they use this type of edit. or which we saw in naukri.com. i want to apply that type of editting in my site? How will i do this?
Keeping Users On Their Profile?
Dec 4, 2009i have developed an application that allows users to post code on their profile on various social networks, and activate the application by submitting data via an html form from within their profile. the application works fine.the form action is processed on my server the problem is that after they submit the form, the users are directed to my website and the display of the results are presented on my website - at hxxp/xxxxxxxx.com/process.php.
i am trying to keep the users on their profile on their social network. i tried unsuccessfully using targret="_self" and target="_blank" as part of the code they are posting on their profile I am trying to figure out a way that they will not be directed back to my website.
here is the way the code posted on the users profile on their social network looks like:

Website Link Does Not Appear On Profile Page / Solution For This?
Feb 8, 2010I was told that the javascript code to my website needs to be removed in order for my website to be linked to a company's webpage. But I cannot remove the code the company is referring to code...
Does the IT Department at the company's webpage need to add or remove language that will allow my website to link properly? The company is asking me to change my website link but I cannot do that. Is the company uploading my link incorrectly? The company said "The JavaScript for your website is interfering and will not allow us to link your profile to your website."
I am very new at this and do not know what to do.
JQuery :: Error() Calls Showing Up In Firebug Profile
Mar 17, 2010I am working on an ASP.NET application that make a lot of jquery and javascript calls and trying to optimize the client side code as much as possible. (This web application is only designed to run on special hardware that has very low memory and processing power.)
The profiler in firebug is great for figuring out what calls are taking up the most time. I have already optimized a lot of my selectors and it is much faster.
However the profile shows a lot of jquery error() calls. In the attached image of the firebug profile window you can see it was called 52 times, accounting for 15.4 of the processing time.
Is that normal for jquery to call its error() like that? My code works flawlessy, and there are no error messages in the firefox error console. It seems like that is a significant performance hit. Is there anyway to get more info on what the errors are?

Stop Users From Double Clicking On The Page Or Disable Double Clicking?
Sep 3, 2009I have a page that submits to a db then re-loads its self with new information. Unfortunately it goes wrong when the user double clicks on a one of many text links that provides the info for the display on reload. How do I stop users from double clicking on the page? Ideally I think I would like to call some sort of js function from body onload as I presume this would then cover the whole of the page, but have no idea if this is possible or how to go about writing it.

Close A Div When Clicking Outside It
Jun 4, 2010I have a time picker, where the user clicks the icon then a div (with a list of times) pops up. My problem is that if i click else where on the page, the time picker div stays open. This happens on all browsers (FF, IE, Safari, Opera)
I have been trawling the net to find something that will close this div when the user clicks elsewhere on the page and this seems to be pretty much what i want to do

The only thing is that it only works the first time. If i want to amend the time at any point, then the div fades out automatically. Is there anyway to reset this jquery once the user has clicked away from the div?

Hiding A DIV By Clicking Anywhere

However, how can I edit this to allow for multiple DIVs?

Clicking Image Map Highlights Row
Jul 23, 2005I have an image map of a subdivision and each section of land in the
subdivision has a lot number on it. Below the image map I have a table
with details about each lot (eg Lot Number, Lot Size, Lot Price
ect...)
I would really like a way so the user can click on the image map and
the corresponding row below the image will be highlighted.
The user clicks on a new row and the previous row goes back to its
original color and the new row is highlighted.
Is the possible? If it is and can someone please point me in the right

JQuery :: Clicking Select Box ?
Jun 11, 2009You know when you click on a select box (size=1) and then the options show up? I'm looking to simulate that with jQuery.
What I would like to happen is I have an image I am using as my "down arrow". It would be a custom image laid over the select box. If you click the select, it will drop down the options, but if you click the image, nothing happens. I want those options to drop down.

This is already working.When I click outside the content div I want the #formatting div to disappear — but if I click inside the #formatting div it also disappears. How can I get it to stay there when I click inside the sidebar?Should I use an if statement, or are there other options?

Clicking Row To Select Checkbox ?
Apr 10, 2010I've got a table where I want to be able to click a row in order to check the box at the end of the row. I've got it working using this....

I then simply call the rowcheck function with the check box ID. The problem is, if someone directly clicks on the check box it doesn't work (presumably because they are checking the box and the code is unchecking it again).
How can I get around this to make sure they aren't directly selecting the checkbox?

Confirmation When Clicking Link
Dec 4, 2009I want to have a javascript popup box so that when a hyperlink is clicked, a user is asked if they are sure they want to click this link, if they select ok then the page loads, if they click canel then nothing happens, However when a user clicks cancel the link still loads, can anyone see where I am going wrong?
