Since I put a JavaScript slideshow on a webpage the onMouseOvers in the menu don't work anymore: [URL] Menu titles on the left should become red with a MouseOver. When I remove the Slideshow the onMouseOvers start work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a page that submits to a db then re-loads its self with new information. Unfortunately it goes wrong when the user double clicks on a one of many text links that provides the info for the display on reload. How do I stop users from double clicking on the page? Ideally I think I would like to call some sort of js function from body onload as I presume this would then cover the whole of the page, but have no idea if this is possible or how to go about writing it.

I have been trawling the net to find something that will close this div when the user clicks elsewhere on the page and this seems to be pretty much what i want to do

The only thing is that it only works the first time. If i want to amend the time at any point, then the div fades out automatically. Is there anyway to reset this jquery once the user has clicked away from the div?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI found this code to Show/Hide a DIV. The great thing about it is that will hide the div by clicking anywhere outside the div, which this does.
However, how can I edit this to allow for multiple DIVs?
If you can't help with this particular code, Do you have another code solution I can use for individually showing many divs and then hiding them by clicking outside the div.

I have an image map of a subdivision and each section of land in the
subdivision has a lot number on it. Below the image map I have a table
with details about each lot (eg Lot Number, Lot Size, Lot Price

I would really like a way so the user can click on the image map and
the corresponding row below the image will be highlighted.
The user clicks on a new row and the previous row goes back to its
original color and the new row is highlighted.
Is the possible? If it is and can someone please point me in the right
direction on how you would do this?

You know when you click on a select box (size=1) and then the options show up? I'm looking to simulate that with jQuery.
What I would like to happen is I have an image I am using as my "down arrow". It would be a custom image laid over the select box. If you click the select, it will drop down the options, but if you click the image, nothing happens. I want those options to drop down.
I got as far as:
But it's not a focus I want, and .click() doesn't work.
So, I have a content div and a floating sidebar (that's draggable). When I click on the content div, I want another div (with id #formatting) to appear inside the sidebar. This is already working.When I click outside the content div I want the #formatting div to disappear — but if I click inside the #formatting div it also disappears. How can I get it to stay there when I click inside the sidebar?Should I use an if statement, or are there other options?
$('#content').focus(function() {
$('#formatting').show('fast', function() {

I've got a table where I want to be able to click a row in order to check the box at the end of the row. I've got it working using this....
Code:
I then simply call the rowcheck function with the check box ID. The problem is, if someone directly clicks on the check box it doesn't work (presumably because they are checking the box and the code is unchecking it again).
How can I get around this to make sure they aren't directly selecting the checkbox?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had this script for a few years which I use to make a search box, it adds the user's search to the end of a url, so you can make a search box for Google or pretty much anything. If the user clicks on submit ('Find') without selecting a pull down option I like the script to alert something like 'select a site' or if they don't enter any keyword to alert 'enter a keyword', however when either of these happens, the alert box needs to be clicked several times to get rid of the alert. so I'm wondering if the script is running in some kind of loop.... The script does what I wat I just want to make the alert boxes go after the first 'click' to hide them...

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter much searching and head-scratching (JS is not my forte!), I adapted some code to do what I want - well, almost! So here I am back again. I need to have three divs on a page, with each separate div changing onClick. Below is the code so far.
Two problems:
1) when I open it in a browser window both divs show, then the one disappears when I click on the second div leaving only the numbers. How can I change it so that both divs remain open?
2) Instead of the numbers [1], [2], etc. to change the divs, I'd like to have to just click on one single 'click here for more' to display the next div then return to the first after the last one. Can this be integrated or is it too late?
The world map (an image map) that I have shows three continents; namely, America, Asia, and Europe. They are in yellow color. This world map is placed in a HTML file.
Every continent is clickable. By clicking on a continent; say, America, I pop up a window in which some information America is displayed.
And when a continent is active, its color on the map is changed to orange color. Therefore, I have made three more image maps: America is in orange color, Asia is in orange color, and Europe is in orange color.
How do I switch image (i.e. showing the orange color of the continent) after a certain continent is clicked by users?
