Add A "piggyback" Event To An Existing OnClick Of An Image?

I have an image that already has an onClick event (a simple window.print(); command). I am trying to figure out how I can add another function to this onClick so when a user clicks this button not only will the print window appear but another js function will also fire off. How do I accomplish this? Unfortunately I am not able to simply manually add the function to the onClick so is there a way to listen for all "window.print();" events and send a second event (my js function) at that time?
I'm trying to add a onclick event that will sort an two dimensional array to a existing element that I can not change. I've been trying to have an image be placed during a mouse over or mouse click event. The closest to accomplishing this is having the image be replaced by the image I want to overlay.
I want to use the onclick event to change an image to text. I'm working on a directory type website and want users to have to click on the image of a telephone in order to reveal the telephone number they are looking for. how do i do this? Also is there a way of tracking how many clicks each person gets?
I am trying to stop a preloaded images used in a rollover. The images are linked to a tab navigation system, that open on the same page.

i have a image around 995x700. and i'm about to change up a couple things on a site i'm working on and want to add a mouseover event (or something like that) to it. i certain areas, i would like the user to mouse over and see a new image rise up in front of the existing image, and then go away when they "mouse off" (i guess that's the term). i know there is a possible way through jscript or ajax.
The first script would be... on page load. Thus on load waite 5 seconds then swap an existing image to another by a fade transition. The second option or script would be onMouseOver fade image1 to image2 via a fase transition. The mouse over action would be with a image graphics. At the same time changing the onMouseOver graphisc as well. The third script would be onClick (the image graphics) to fade transition image2 to image3. onMouseOut restore to image1 A second button graphics would be identical, but would change image2 to image4...etc
I want to make it so that when I click on something, it changes what document.onclick does.
This is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do:

However, as you'll notice, the alert box shows up on the first click as well. The only way I have been able to get around this behaviour is to have the first onclick execute a timer that will then set the document.onclick after 1ms, however this seems very messy to me.
currently on our site we have and expanding <div> that responds to both the onmouseover and onmouseout events. It works wonderfully.
The UX people now would like the expanding <div> to open with the onclick event and then as soon as the mouse leaves the expanded div, it would close. I have tried using the onmouseout event in conjunction the onclick event but it does not work (the div persists).
I am using ContentFlow from [URL] It is very well documented on their website. I got the whole thing working great on my site. What I don't know is how to change the ActiveItem onclick to just bump it over to the next image as if the next image had been clicked. As of right now it opens the image source in a self window. I don't want that. Can anyone give me a clue or maybe the whole answer on how to get it to click over to the next image? I believe the answer lies in the contentflow_src.js file.
I am trying to make a point and click javascript game. Basically what I want is to have one image displayed on screen at the start (room1.jpg). When you click on a door on that image, I have an onclick event to change the image to a new one that shows the door open (room1_a.jpg). What I want is that when you click the now open door, to display the next room in the game. The only solution I can think of is some sort of nested onclick event using several image maps, but I am fairly new to Javascript and I am not sure if that is possible. What it all comes down to is I want to display each incarnation of each room in the game in the same window without having to reload a new window for each room. I hope that makes sense, if not I can try and clarify. Below is the code I have so far. And as you can see all that does is display the open door when you click on the image. I have not done any of the image mapping yet.
I'm trying to use javascript to load an image on a webpage when another image is clicked on, just like an image gallery and just like this except I don't need any text: [URL] I copied the example above but when I click on the smaller image to load the larger one it works for a fraction of a second (I can see the image load in the right spot), but then the browser goes to the URL of the image instead (showing it on a blank page).
Im trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.

Im looking to basically have an image which is a button with a value, and when i click the image, it gets replaced by another image with a different value. when clicked again it would return to the original image and value..Is this possible? and if so, please help cos im terrible at javascript!

I can add a onclick="code here" to the tag so that when the drop box alabama is selected it triggers the onclick event. Im using Ibox in order to have a image of the state open.

im busy with a school project to create a photo viewer type site with java script. the whole thing i being created from java script and im giving all the img's an ID tag how do i go about getting the id of the img that i have just clicked. i know my current code doesn't work properly in IE. the reason i want the Id is so later i can hopefully use the info to determine which img to "zoom in" etc
i have a really big table... and the <tr> tags have onclick/onmouseover events that highlight a row when you drag your mouse over it, and open a popup window when you click anywhere in the row...
if i however have some text in the row that has an href link attached to it, when i click on the link it will go to the href url AND open the popup window...
is there any way to stop the popup window from opening when i click a certain link within a row?
I'm not sure what the correct term for this is, but I want to have two objects (say HTML divs) positioned absolutely one on top of the other, with the lower of the two having an onclick event attached to it.
Now as you can guess, if I then click on where the top and bottom object overlap, the top object intercepts the click and the onclick event for the bottom object is never fired.
What I want to do is to have the even "cascade" with the top object ignoring the click and letting the bottom one handle it. Is this possible? Am I being too vague?
I am trying to set the onclick event for images through a function, but the event is triggered as soon the page loads, then will not work when the image is clicked. Can anyone suggest what is wrong?
