I have something that's called with AJAX when the user enters some text [url]. What I want is to execute some javascript within this "frame". If the frame calls something, with say <script type="text/javascript"> document.write('h'); </script> in it, then "h" doesn't appear, and neither does anything besides what would normally be shown if I didn't add that.
I am using a form validation class I got from the internet. Now I have a main page wherein I have a <div id="form"></div> that, using AJAX, displays other pages with forms like textboxes, etc. for a user to input. Here is the code for my main page:
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I am making a small gallery script. When a user clicks an image, I would like for a function to be called that tells the browser where that image is located in an object. For example:
[Code]...
It works, I just don't like it because it is messy and it seems sensible that some workaround exists.
i am using popupwindow.document.write(html_text); all the html of the pop-up goes into html_text.how can i build a function inside the html_text that can be called within the popup window?
I'm using the uploadify jQuery plugin from here: [url] & am having some problems.
Everything is working correctly but the uploadifyUpload() function doesn't appear to be triggering. It is not accessing the add_list.php script whatsoever.
Here is my code from my header..
Code:
It correctly shows an alert box with "Correct" so I know it's getting in there to run it, but it just isn't running.
Shouldn't need to see this, but here is the errorCheck() function if interested..
Code:
Lastly this is the HTML code that calls it.. stripped out a lot of uneeded code for clarity.
I want to pass the object to a function that is called with a setInterval, like so: Code: function Test(obj) { divTest.innerText = obj.id; } function ClickMe(obj) { itv = setInterval( 'Test(' + obj + ')' , 10 ); } So when I click a link I want to execute every 10 msec a test. This off course does not work.
I have created a simple javascript class and have a question regarding object construction/initialization. Can I have a method run upon initialization?
[Code]...
Can I have an initialization method called upon object construction?
I've been searching for about 3 days on this topic. I'm trying to get a template field inside of an ASP.Net detailsview control inside of an ajax updatepanel to work with the jquery datepicker. Very frustrating! I'm using VB with VS 2010. I can get the datepicker to work fine with a simple text box inside of an update panel but when I put it inside of a detailsview control it stops working.
I have verified that the server is returning valid json. My jsonpCallback is called, but neither the success nor the error callbacks are. I'm stumped by this.
I've got an ajax prefilter which defines a success, an error, and a complete function callback onto the jXHR object. During a successful ajax response I first his the success function callback (as expected), and if I throw an error from within this callback I hit the error callback (again, as expected). However, at this point I would assume my complete callback would be called, yet it never is. I ran a sanity test by issuing an ajax request to an undefined URL, which throws a 404, and it triggered my error callback and then my complete callback as expected.
like theres two pages.page one calls page two and displays the output of page 2 on page 1 via ajax.now can i click on page 2's output(on page one) and have it execute another javascript function to call AJAX(a third page)
I'm using jquery-1.4.2 with PHP. I have a grid of records with a link to a form i'd like to use to edit the row with. The form is built using php, and works as expected when called just using a regular html link.
When the form is called using $(".ajax").click(function(event), the form comes up, but the textarea(s) are messed up; <textarea>Stuff for the text area
I am trying to read all the navigator object elements
1. Using the navigator.length returns undefined, cant use for loop;
2.Using and array of known elements like var a = Array("appCodeName","appName","appVersion"); I seem to miss something to get it combined like navigator.a[i]
I'm creating a popup to display a loading message, inside this popup i placed an animated gif...the problem is that the gif is not being animated (it is an animated gif...) , its is being shown but without the animation...
This is the code:
oPopupLoading = window.createPopup(); var oPopupBody = oPopupLoading.document.body; oPopupBody.style.cssText = "margin:0px;border:1px outset;background:#97baea;FONT-FAMILY: verdena, Arial, sans-serif;overflow:hidden" var hStr = "";
I have a complex JS object. It manipulates the page DOM. Inside it I have many repetitive selections spread across functions. I would like to cache the selectors to enhance performance. How do other people do this? I can cache on the function level but not the object. When I try to cache on the object level I seemingly end up with stale selectors that while defined don't actually work.
My gut is that I can only cache on the function level?
what I have read does not deal with caching inside a JS object.
function JGallery(){ this.name="defaultGallery"; this.images=[{//some JSON here}] this.render=function(){
[Code].....
I've tried to debug it in firebug, but I guess there is a problem with the scope of the 'this'. The 'this' in
//i want append div with id of the name property of jgallery class $("<div></div>").appendTo("#container").attr("id",this.name); seems to refer to the iterator in the $.each().
I've tried to do this.this.name but it still doesn't work. Is there any way to allow me access the property of the Jgallery class?
I'm trying to use jQuery to get the two-letter country abbreviation from a URL that does exactly this. You give the URL your IP address, and it spits you back the string. Try it: [URL] When I try to get this to display on my page using jQuery, however, all I am getting back as the "data" is "[object XMLHtttpRequest]". I am thinking this has something to do with the fact that it's not coming back as HTML? It's just "US" as a plain text string. Does this make a difference? Here's my code:
I am trying to implement the PowerZoom script inside of FancyZoom. The scripts work fine when called separately, but if I try to call PowerZoom inside of the FancyZoom object nothing happens. I get no errors from the pages and the console is clean.Is it possible to call a function from a dynamic object? Here is a test page to see what I'm trying to do.
How do I store an object reference inside a variable when I want the object reference to to reference the first "ul" html element nested inside the current object (as referenced by this keyword)?
